I hired Miller Roofing to do a new roof for me at the beginning of August. I had received quotes from other companies l, but the quote I received from Dean was the most reasonable and I appreciated how honest he was about the cost and what may increase it as they begin their work. Dean was professional, but easy going, in a way that made you feel very comfortable about a decision that is not the most comfortable to make. He and his crew were professional and respectful. They showed up on time every day, got an early start, and cleaned up after themselves daily. They communicated along the way and were so easy and pleasant to work with. I would recommend Miller Roofing to anyone I know who is in need of anything roof related.

We had six roofing companies to come out for quotes and chose Miller Roofing with confidence to do this large $$ home improvement for us.
Richard was the one, who assessed our old roof. He also checked the gutters and the dry rot. We addressed our concerns, asked a lot of questions, and tried to understand what exactly would be replaced or covered since this was our first time. He was very patient with us. He walked around the house with us and explained everything that we needed to know.

Then, we met Dean to sign a contract. Dean was very professional to go over the contract in detail, what to prepare for the roof replacement, and what his team would do from day 1 to day 3. He showed enough care that made us feel great about our choice. This explained why Miller got all 5 stars reviews.
His crew arrived before 7am and started on time every day. Mark was very patient when we asked him questions about the job and the material. He also let us know when they were done for the day and gave a brief update on the progress. We were surprised how organized the crew were. They put their tools, machines, and ladders away. Also, they did a great job cleaning behind themselves. It was like there were never there.

We really liked our new roof, new gutters, and new vents. They look modern and added value to our house. The whole process with Miller was clear, efficient, and pleasant. The contractors for gutters and insolation were great and professional. We greatly appreciated Miller for the excellent work, great customer service, and fair prices. The integrity of Miller stands out among others. I will hire Miller again and highly recommend Miller to my friends, relatives, and neighbors. In fact, two neighbors already asked about it.

Yes! You should choose Dean Miller Roofing to replace your roof! We just replaced our old roof with a new 50 year roof. We met with several roofing companies before making our decision. They were all generally in the same price range for what we wanted. The reason we choose Miller Roofing is because of Dean. His knowledge and PROFESSIONALISM is what truly stood out. Many of these companies do not even provide you with a written estimate which I find very interesting when you are spending $$$ on a large project like this. Dean has amazing punctuality and attention to DETAIL. I am a very detailed person and so I truly appreciate these qualities. He wants to build a professional relationship and will be there when you need him. He was very patient and explained everything in detail and answered all our questions. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it, it is immaculate. We LOVE our new roof and know it will serve us well for many many years. We had 4 existing vents and they doubled it to 8 which should really help cool our attic. We are SO happy we worked with Dean so don't hesitate to hire Miller Roofing!

In 2019, Dean Miler Roofing put a new roof on our home in Folsom. We specifically picked an energy star, Architectural 40 year roof in a light gray color to keep our home cooler (the previous roof was dark brown). Immediately after the roofing was finished, we then had our stucco replaced, and while the stucco was off the house, we put R-19 in the walls were there had been NO insulation prior. We also had new windows and a front door installed that EXCEED California's energy efficiency and are Energy Star qualified. We replaced some of the blown in insulation in the attic that was the thinnest with R-38 (what remained was thicker than the R-38). By and large, our home should be cooler by default. However yesterday it was in the upper 80s here in Folsom and our home was 82 degrees inside at 5:30 pm. Why on earth would our home be warmer after all the upgraded and energy star materials we put in it? Answer: THE ROOF VENT LOCATION. When Dean's crew was replacing my roof, I told the Foreman---some big, middle aged white dude not to put the roof vents on the West side of the house. The Foreman then rebutted the vents would look bad on the East, because you will see them driving up. As the home owner, and the one paying for the new roof (and his wage for the day, I might add....) I did not give a rats ass what my neighbors think about my roof vents. I told him in no uncertain terms ""I don't give a shit what the vents look like, I care about how they function. Putting them on East will allow the hotter Western slope of the roof to off vent, I want them there."" He poo pooed what I said, waving his hand like I was full of crap, and walked away from me, basically putting the vents where he wanted, not where I, as the customer I wanted them. This was not a whim of a decision on my part. I worked as a wildland firefighter for 12 years, and left a Captain's position and was also an Incident Commander (Type III) Trainee. I know a thing or two about air flow, diurnal heating/cooling and passive heating and cooling, how materials heat up during the day as the sun moves from East to West. I studied how air masses move and it was part of the essential knowledge I held to keep fire crews safe as the weather and sun changed throughout the day. The Western location of those vents are simply a wide slot for hot air to pour in and fill up our attic. I hoped I was wrong and he was right, but now, going into our 3rd year since our roof was replaced, I just am fed up with it. I never wrote a review before because while the overall experience of working with Miller Roofing was good, this incident ate at me and I could not leave a good review. But the proof is there, every year from April-October, our house is hotter than ever. So all the money we spent on new windows (expensive ones), additional insulation for the walls and attic (not to mention the mess of removing the blown insulation...), the energy star roofing materials, and the elastomeric light color stucco finish to reflect heat, was all for nothing. They did a tidy job overall on the roof and I'd say they did everything else is well, but having a sexist jerk of a foreman is what earned them a 2 star rating and I have to live with his arrogant poor decision based solely on aesthetics for the next 37 years, and he wasted $10,000 our money ~Debra K.

This is my second review. This time though, I didn't just get repairs, I got a new roof and gutters. I did a lot of research going into this project and several quotes. Each company encouraged multiple quotes, which was great. What I liked about Dean is he explained everything and what every step would be. He didn't put any pressure on going with his company and encouraged me to go with the company I felt comfortable with. I will say, he did express that he would love to work for me which I thought was cool. Also, that I should decide on a company fairly quickly only to lock down a quote because prices are changing daily/weekly. Dean was also easy to reach and available by phone, text or email. He provided samples and actually a couple jobs he did with the color I wanted, so I could see it in person. The crews were fantastic! Very friendly and so efficient. I LOVE my roof and new gutters. I have had neighbors come to ask about it. This is a huge project and expense and I am so happy I chose Miller Roofing Services. The entire process was very smooth. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a call!

I don't do too many reviews but when I find a company that exceeds all expectations I just have to spread the word. Last September our insurance company was going to cancel my elderly father's homeowners insurance as his roof was wood shake and my dad had been putting it off for years but now we had to quickly find a reputable roofing contractor Right away a stand out company emerged Miller Roofing From the initial phone call all the way through to the final day of clean up (and beyond actually) this company and crew were not only professional but performed to the highest standard in all phases of this job. If I could give them 10 stars I would. The best words to describe this company are professional reliable dependable efficient neat and clean trustworthy
Not only are they a top notch roofing company but Dean Miller is just a really nice guy. And boy oh boy were we glad we got that new roof a couple weeks later, Sacramento had the biggest rain storm since the 1800's ?! Boy we got that roof in the nick of time! And it was so great to be inside hearing it pouring rain and knowing we were gonna stay warm dry and cozy! Thank you Miller Roofing you guys are the best!

The Miller Roofing Services are our heroes! They came to us during a time of dire need. Out roof was in disarray during one of the worst rainstorms here in Sacramento (early December). Our friends referred the Miller Roofing Services to us. It took them less than 36 hours, start to finish in taking care of the job (our roof is ~1300-1500 sq ft). It has been a couple of rainy weeks since the roof was installed, and it holds up! Our neighbors constantly compliment us on the roof. We highly recommend this group to take care of your roofing needs. They excel at what they do!
