Recommended Customer Reviews
Unfortunately, we can't recommend this company. The two stars are given because we think we probably have a good roof but customer service and satisfaction doesn't exist with this company and we would not wish our experience on anyone else.
We hired Graboski Roofing, which by the way was more expensive than other estimates we received, to replace our roof.
The project started the end of October and finished the first week of February. Over four months. The project started out smooth with good communication from the president of the company overseeing the job.
Problems started to build as the wrong tile was delivered and loaded onto our roof. President of the company told us they were not responsible because the tile manufacturer delivered and put the wrong tile on our roof. However, our roof contract was not with the tile manufacture it was with Graboski . Over 12 weeks went by while new tile was ordered and the old tile was removed from the roof. I wrote to the owner Tim Graboski expressing concern and disappointment and my email was ignored. To compound the issue the 2nd order of new tile that was placed on our roof was also the incorrect tile. Yes that's right, the company loaded the incorrect tile on top of our roof twice.
We were concerned about potential damage to the roof repeatedly loading all this tile off and on our roof so we asked to keep the incorrect tile that had been loaded on our roof even though it was not the color we had ordered and not the color we wanted. Basically we compromised on the color of the tile just to get the project completed. The roof was completed a few days ago and we are now waiting on a copy of the inspection report.
To this day we have not received any type of apology from the company so I decided to share our experience. I now see multiple poor reviews for this company. I obviously should have paid more attention to reviews from actual customer experience.
absolutely terrible..... gave them a deposit check on February 8th.... When I called in August, I was told the tiles were on ""back order"". Obviously took our deposit check and never ordered the tiles. As of 3 weeks ago they were ALMOST done and ran out of roof tiles. Still not not done on October 26TH.....
After deciding to go with Graboski Roofing for our new roof we signed a contract with them in April 2018.
They told us that our roof would to be started in early June, the hot mop would be completed within 2 to 3 weeks of the start and that it would then be around a three week delay before the tiles would be installed.
They started the job at the beginning of July due to weather delays which we felt where understandable. However trying to get someone on the phone to give an approximate new start date was extremely difficult.
The hot mop was completed at the end of July after which it was supposed to be about three weeks before the tile got installed. However, after numerous excuses and a variety of stories we are now at in October and have been told that it will be at least another eight weeks and until the tiles, that have been delivered and placed on our roof in stacks, will be installed because we are supposedly 16th in line.
It seems to me to be incredible that 4 months after this job was due to be started we are supposedly still 16th in line, with no way to verify this. And it makes no sense that a roofing company can take so long to get a job done that should've taken no more than eight weeks from start to finish.
We had planned to put our house on the market by the beginning of September and cannot do so because we have no roof and can only get the additional projects required to put the house in order done after the roof is completed. We have no faith that this will even be done in 8 weeks.
Overall the communication from Graboski is truly terrible. It is almost impossible to get a senior manager from the company on the line, and one usually receives either an email or a call from some other employee with yet another story.
If you are looking at reviews to make your decision, I suggest that you look at the latest reviews and make sure they are not bogus reviews. Graboski used to have an outstanding reputation and good reviews on most sites but you will note of late that there are more and more dissatisfied people complaining about the same issues that we are.
Nabil J.Upon my return to my home on July 18, 2018 from Surgery, I quickly find out my home has been without Air Conditioning.
After I had the original HVAC contractor that installed the new HVAC system in September 2017, the HVAC contractor inspected the inside the home for a coil leak and found no leak then the HVAC contractor inspected the attic and found the main HVAC Copper line was punctured by a nail that penetrated the roof into the attic, which resulted in all the Freon leaking out (please see Exhibit 1 that shows the puncture to the A/C Copper line). As a result, the HVAC contractors replaced the damaged Copper line; the compressor run capacitor and refill the HVAC with new Freon at a cost of $750 (please see copy of HVAC contractor invoice). Please see Exhibit 2 that shows the replaced copper line and Exhibit 3 that shows the outside portion of the HVAC system that is visible from the roof and had the employee been paying attention of the location of the outside HVAC system and followed the studs on the roof, the damage would have been totally avoided. Finally, the Roofing contractor never bothered to request access to the attic to view the location of the main A/C Copper line as a precaution to avoid damaging the main A/C line.
I attempted to peacefully resolve this issue with the Roofing contractor but the General Manager proceeded to attempt to shovel a bunch of manure down my throat with an indefensible argument that there is exclusion in the contract. Exclusion is not covered when an employee makes a carless mistake and especially when the same roofing contractor installed the original roof back in 1996 time frame without the same incident. Furthermore, there are numerous homeowners in the community that are also in the process of replacing roofs and not one homeowner has experienced this careless issue.
I find that this small claims action is a waste of the court's time since it is clearly obvious that the roofing contractor's employee was at fault for causing the damage and instead of doing the right thing and covering the repair cost, the roofing contracted wants to shaft the homeowner who is spending $27,000 to replace the roof. Finally, the roofing contractor's offer to split the $750 cost is not only an insult to my intelligence but further demonstrates that this Roofing contractor's unwillingness to accept responsibility and hide behind a catch all exclusion.
We have used Graboski roofing several times and they were awesome!!! We have recommended them to many people. Today I called for them to come out and look at a roof leak we have and the lady on the phone that sounded like I was bothering here was glad to tell me that they don't do garage roofs. They have repaired it twice over the last 6 years. Now they are a giant well known company and they don't have time for little things like this. Oh well another company gone bad!! No more recommendations from me!!
Home P.Tim Graboski Roofing installed a barrel tile roof that was leaking during installation, and still leaks every time it rains. I have a rooftop a/c unit and they blame the a/c company, the a/c company blames them, meanwhile I've spent thousands of dollars on a new roof that leaks.
Graboski charged me $90 to send a crew out to blame it on the a/ company. The a/c company charged me to tell me it was Graboski's fault. I regret using both companies, and would give Graboski a minus rating if it were an option.
Shortly after Irma, I called Terry, as we were dealing with him prior to the storm. I practically had to beg him to come out. All I wanted was for them to assess the damage to the roof and do any repairs that were necessary, as we had active leaks and did not want any more water entering our home. His response was: ""we don't do roof inspections"". Really? On the website it says that they repair roofs. So how do you know what to repair unless you actually go on the roof to inspect the damage? His response was nonsensical-laughable actually. After multiple email exchanges, in which I had to involve Tim Graboski, one of the owners, he finally agreed to come out to the house, but told me that I had to call customer service to make an appointment, so I did. That was in September. I'm still waiting for them to come. However, in the meantime, after I realized that I was dealing with one of the most unprofessional group of people, I called Mike Copelin from Atlas Roofing. Now, that is what you call a professional. He had his guys come out almost immediately. They fixed the leaks and put a tarp under the area where our solar panels were, as they were not allowed to move them. Give Mike a call and you'll be more than happy with his service. His number is: 954-579-0465. This company pretends to be a Christian Company and advertises on WayFM. Do not be deceived. When a company that acts better than a ""Christian"" company does, you really have to ask yourself what moral and values they truly do possess. Oh, and do yourself a favor, if you have some time to read this, one of their employees was killed because the failed to protect them properly. I'm not allowed to post the link in the review, but you can just google their name and OSHA's news release will come up. Do your research. God works all things out and I'm certain that He protected us from this company.
They did an estimate that beat everyone else and did a great job! They go the extra step, they explain everything, and give you all types of options. I would of gave them 5 stars but there communication on when they would come out wasn't great. You go to leave work and they would be outside with no warning and say they would be back tomorrow and not show up. But very happy with my new roof and would recommend them.
Horrible customer service. No communication. I heard they do the best work. Sad that multiple people do not return calls or emails. I'll find someone else who is wants the business.
Chris B.Great company to deal with! They were the ones that originally installed our roof from the builder and they are the only ones we have used to repair roof tiles after storms. We just called them after the recent hurricane to have them check for broken roof tiles and they fixed the cracked ones they found at no charge and did a full inspection. I highly recommend this company. Fair pricing and great work!
