Hugh, the owner and master builder, leads our family-owned business. Kimberly, his wife, is the office manager and partner, and their son, Maxwell, works as the lead carpenter.
Hugh, who grew up in Chicago, Illinois, has called San Diego home since he was 18. With more than 30 years in residential remodeling, he is a Master Carpenter. Having worked for several remodeling companies, Hugh started Three R Builders, convinced he could offer superior quality.

jason p.We recently hired Hugh for a large second story addition on our 1930s Spanish Style home. I met with five contractors including Lars and Murray Lampert. Those guys had a great presentation and dog and pony show but when they started explaining all the different people i had to deal with i got terribly confused. I hired Hugh because he is there everyday, he's the owner, and his involvement allows for changes to occur that day and not two weeks later. Three R builders was also significantly cheaper then the other big shops. If you need color models and big screen TVs to see your future house pay the extra $100K and high Lars or Murray Lampert. If you have a clear vision Hugh and his drafter will work with you. You wont be disapointed.
