We were remodeling our fireplace/fireplace insert area and found we had a decent leak around the fireplace at the flashing in Nov. I had 5 people come and give estimates. The Roofing Lady, Xochitl Arango, was not the least expensive but she was: (1) very thorough, (2) took photos that she showed me what must be fixed and what else she suggested needed to be repaired, and (3) put everything in writing. She was the only one who took photos vs. just telling me what needed to be done - she showed me the issues and problems and didn't shout it down from on top of the roof to me on the ground. She also she wrote it all down and kept in email contact and kept in contact is no small feat during a SoCal (somewhat unexpected/early) rainy season.

She also went above and beyond because we needed to have the fireplace roof fixed before the end of the month of December, but were going to be out of town for 2 weeks. She absolutely kept in contact and then sent me photos of the finished work while we were on the East Coast. It has rained very heavily since the repairs and we have had no problems. She also matched the roofing well enough that it is hard to tell there was a patch. I highly recommend her!

I would highly recommend the roofing lady. She was communicative, trust worthy and professional. She came to the property within 24 hrs of the call and completed the job within 2 days. She is amazing at what she does and best of all she is HONEST. Don't let others roofers rip you off. Call her for a second opinion like I did and you will be surprised by her service. She took pictures before and after and keep me informed at all times.

We are very pleased with our new roof and Xochitl Arango and her crew. Xochi helped us understand what we were working with and helped inform our decision. We added dormers and she gave us options to do Title 24 roofing with Corning or with GAF who had a darker color we liked better.
The only reason she doesn't get 5 stars was the price was higher than we wanted to pay, but what we agreed upon from the get go. I'm a very high maintenance customer and she was very receptive and helpful with my questions.
I could tell she was great, would do a great job, and communicate well. There were some extra nails we kept finding, and the GAF packaging left something to be desired as the plastics strips have also been found throughout our yard for the last few months, but not sure if there's anything that could have been done about that. Her foreman went above and beyond and helped our elderly neighbor get her old (eyesore) satellite dish off her roof, and without asking he did the thorough thing and sealed up the holes it left in her roof. He even cut the hanging cables that bothered us for years (though we never mentioned them to our neighbor).
You get what you pay for.

A week ago, I called The Roof Lady to get an estimate for a leak we had for well over a year. Xochitl Aranga, The Roof Lady, informed us she would be over the next day. She came by when she said she would on time, we showed her the area of the roof. She listened to what we had to say, she said she would look at the whole roof then she got her ladder out to a look. In while, she came in to show us the pictures she had taken of areas of the roof that needed repair. She explained what had been done in the past and why it didn't work. She explained in detail what her workers would do to fix just the areas that needed repair.

You see, we were told 18 months ago that we needed a new roof, this other business informed us that while he could fix just the leak for $1,500, we actually needed a new roof for $15,000. Informing us why pay him twice. Needless to say, we did not go that route. Good thing we didn't because Xochitl informed us that we did not need a new roof. We would just need to have the recommended repairs done and the roof would be good for another 10 years. We were quoted a fair price.

The tiles and the workers were back in 2 days, the work was done in hours. The clean up was good. Xochitl's work ethic is wonderful, she listens and hears what we had to say, the over all work is excellent, fast and clean. We would definitely use her services again. We highly recommend her.

""The Roofing Lady"" Xochitl was referred to me by someone who said she did good work at a fair price. I had 2 properties that needed roof repair and at first she was very communicative and efficient. She came to evaluate both properties as promised, took pictures, and said she would email me an estimate. I never heard back. I called and texted her countless times with no response. She had every opportunity to explain herself but never did. I finally gave up and found someone actually reliable. All I can do is report my own experience. Not sure what happened but obviously this was unprofessional and warrants caution.

I was referred to Best Quality Roofing by a friend who knew that I really needed help. My fourplex in Koreatown is 90 years old and NEVER had a new roof properly installed, just years and years of layers and layers, more leaks with each storm.

All is can say is that Xochitl and her team are the very best! They did an excellent job from the moment they arrived to do the inspection and bid. The price was fair, and without overcharging they did extra work to make sure it was finally done right. The whole process was professional and transparent. I would work with them again anytime.
