Installed roof for my mother. Talked a great game when coming to do estimate. After that is was just another typical roofing company out to stick it to the elderly. 10K estimate became a 14K bill. 40% difference!!! No there wasn't that much rot, there was that much markup on every board foot. The happy go lucky ex service member became a completely non English speaking crew. And the work, well, let's just say my brother just happened to catch them trying to install the new drip edge on top of the old drip edge. Fast forward a year and the squirrels have made a meal out of the soft plush ""lifetime"" boots they talked my mom into paying extra for. But it's under warranty, right? Nope. Another classic roofer that talks up a warranty then denies everything. Even when its substandard material and they overcharged you in the beginning. Then tells us that it will be $800 and two months to fix it. No doubt knowing that there lots more water damage by that point that they can charge even more for. So I fixed it. I was a contractor for 18 years and a home inspector for 2. Now Mr. Redshirt good guy tells us that the warranty that he wasn't honoring is now null and void on the whole roof. They say its because they have to do all the work. Keep in mind that these are the same guys that said it would be two months, of repeated water penetration every time it rained, before they came out. This is a con riding the coat tails of a military history just to take advantage of the elderly and anyone else that doesn't actually know what they are looking at. I have no idea why they are rated so highly unless the world is just that ignorant. But hey, lots of dolts pay extra for crappy coffee at Starbucks.

I feel a little awkward leaving a review when I didn't work with them but they definitely have character! I called up for help and was immediately told they were unavailable until the 16th. Rather than leave me hanging, they gave me two recommendations for companies who could get it done faster. That's taking care of the customer and greatly appreciated. Friendly to boot. Will remember them.

I was very impressed with this company from start to finish with the recent replacement of our back porch roof. Jonathan came out evaluated what we had and provided a timely estimate for the repair and replacement of the roof. They set us up with a repair date within one week. Additionally, the work crew and their supervisor were very professional from start to finish. They worked diligently for 10 hours to complete the job. We had our first heavy train since then and I'm so glad the roof is leak free. They also offer military discounts if you are active duty or retired.

The Red Shirt Guys Roofing replaced our 33 year old metal dock roof. They came out to look at the project and they actually showed up. They provided the quote very quickly. They communicated every step of the way - from keeping us in the loop while we were waiting for the metal roof materials to the very last day. AND they left a clean work site.
