Founded in Austin, Texas in 2010 by Steve Huskey, The inception of Texas Roofing Repair came when Huskey realized that non-local commercial roofing contractors were operating in Austin. Identifying a need, he sought to form a local commercial roofing company. He started assembling a team of roofing experts who could manage everything from sizable residential roofs to larger apartment and hotel roofs, up to skyscraper roofs. The company initially launched in San Antonio, then swiftly expanded to Austin and Houston. In 2014, we launched our newest location in Killeen.

Our first employee was JT, as we were just starting out. JT had been the General Manager for a custom home builder in Central Texas, managing 7 crews for 18 years. Ready to develop his own crews with a specific culture, he was a perfect fit. JT is the guiding force for insurance adjusters. His expertise enables him to identify mistakes that insurance adjusters can correct 80% of the time.

Huskey studied Management and Marketing in college. While in school, he played sports and held a position on the board of directors for the Humane Society. Huskey states, ""The board of directors experience was invaluable for me. The board included executives from Fortune 500 companies, wealthy benefactors, and entrepreneurs. Collaborating closely with these leaders for two years taught me how to manage a turnaround. We executed a substantial change for what was previously a significant kill shelter in Texas. We changed it into Texas's largest no-kill shelter.
