These guys come across very sketchy in their ""sales"" tactics. Day 1... young guy comes to my house and asks if they can give estimate. I say sure... he wants my name, my wife's name and phone number... I tell him I'd rather not give my number and they can stop by the next day and complete their measurements and give me their quote. He's insistent... I relent and he says i will get a call. I got no call. He says he'll show up tomorrow with the guy who will do the measurements. He didn't.
Day 2. Two new guys show up and ask to look around the house. They look at the outside and start asking about my dogs, children and wife... ok... a bit sketchy... they say they are going to take measurements so I go back inside... 5 minutes later they are back at the door... no measurements, and they want to know when my wife will be back... say what?! Yeah, they want to come into the house when both of us are there and refuse to give me an estimate. Why do I feel like I'm about to be murdered? I swear... if someone tries to rob us, I know who I'll be suing.
Painted my house in March 2018 - left overspray on my windows - still haven't cleaned them - scratched my metal handicap ramp and Jackie Mayfield stated I was hard to work with - they took over $9000 of my money and refuse to clean the overspray off the windows after a year and a half - poor workmanship - I even fed the workers a cheesecake and water. They spoke spanish and little spanish I understood - said we were stupid gringos. I have repeated tried to get them back - they refuse to take my calls - This is a rip off of all senior citizens - they should be banned from doing business in TEXAS!
Contacted me October 15, 2019 at 8:20 a.m., they are coming out today to clean the windows and bringing over a couple of gallons of paint. I am happy about that - can't do anything about the ramp but glad about the windows. They really listened this time. I want you all to know the house is really beautiful and it is lovely - I might be a tad picky but at almost 70 years old - you get that way. Many thank, John for sending the guys over to clean my windows today. I appreciate your willingness to help clear up this matter - a little late but hopefully the guys will remember if they repaint not to remove the plastic before respraying. Have a blessed day!
Texas Home Improvement did a great job on replacing my siding with hardie board! They went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy. I can't wait for them to come do my windows after the first of the year. They even put my house on there website!
This company is the same as this one, see reviews here:

I never hired them because their sales tactics were suspicious, so I can't speak to the quality of the work - only their business in general. A man came by and said they were giving free estimates for roof repairs in our neighborhood. I said no, our roof is only two years old. He protested that it had hailed since then. Well, no, not enough to damage the roof - still not interested. Next he asked about exterior paint, I said not interested in that either. Windows? No thanks. After all, why waste their time? We did, however, need some work done on the columns in front of our house. I told him he could estimate that if his company was interested in doing such work. He said we needed to set up an appointment to do that AND that my husband would have to be present. I pointed out that the house was in my name and I had authority to make decisions. He refused to set up an appointment unless my husband was present also. That struck me as odd. Why would you need an appointment with both of us to just measure, inspect the columns, and write out a simple estimate? I have received several estimates for various things (including the columns since then) without my husband being present. So I told him to just forget it. Obviously, they didn't want my business that badly. Thanks for wasting my time then.
I can't give any lower at this poiint. I spoke with a rep back in March 2019 and booked my work, signed my contract and started making payments through the finance company. as of 9/13/19 my job hasn't even begun yet. I was told a week ago by a rep my work would start on 9/11 and be complete by 9/13. No one called or followed up, no work this week, so now supposedly next week. I have yet to see any of their work. Be leary of these folks when you sign for work, i hope no one else has to wait as long as I have.
Really enjoyed my experience with Texas home improvement. They did an exceptional job with painting my patio. They were quick and professional. Ruben Vega was very articulate in regards to what to expect from them as far as the start/finish process.
Overall, I would definitely use them again. I will refer them to coworkers and individuals I interact with on a daily basis.
Extreme Scam - Outrageous waste of time. High Pressure Used Car Salesmen. Won't give you quote on size or sq foot of house. They require that they come to your house waste two hours of your time lying about how great their product is.
They will claim you will save 20 percent on your electric bill. When I asked for that in contract or in writing, was told they can't put in writing since every house is different.
Then after two hours of sales tricks, they quote me 21,000 for a 1400 sq foot home. I told them they were crazy, so the sales guy plays the how much would you be willing to pay, I can work with you.
After I told him there was NO WAY I am paying anywhere that to get my house painted. He then ""re-checks"" his numbers and tells me if I do it today he can get it down to $18,000 bucks. I said no thanks and thanks for wasting my time.
Then he plays the ""I can try and call my boss"" routine. So he calls someone, that he tells me is his boss, and begs this guy to cut me a break since he ""likes me"".
He gets off phone and then tells me he got me a special deal and one time offer of $16,000, but I have to sign the papers NOW. I said NO thanks. He leaves but tells my I am really missing out on a great deal that has never been offered to anyone before. He leaves.
15 minutes later, he returns, and tells me he really got into a big argument with is boss, and since I was a vet he made his boss give me a better deal, if I signed today he could do it for $14,000 bucks. He then told he might lose his job for pushing this great deal and I should really jump on this.
I told him, so 30 minutes ago when you told me it would cost $21,000 that was a lie and you just wanted to see if I would pay that. He told me NO, I was getting a very special extra deal that no one every gets. I told him I did not trust him or his company and did not want to do business with them.
He got pissed, had an attitude and told me that was the last time he was going to try and get someone a great deal.
In my opinion this company is unethical, not trustworthy and is a scam.
I would highly suggest you not use this company! After contacting them to have our home painted with NewSpray we met with the salesman who was just that... a salesman. Once our project was completed we never heard from him again. We were assured that someone would come back out to verify the work was done satisfactorily but that never happened. Three months later I heard from them, but it was only to bring us coupons for future work. Within 6 months of the painting being completed we started having bubbling & spots where the paint was missing. I have spent since May of 2018 trying to get an appointment for a repair. We've now had our paint done for just over a year. I don't know how they expect this product to last 30 years when it wouldn't last one.
I am sure the New Spray product is great and does what it says. The company is the only one who has it and can apply it and there is the problem. The salesmen came to my house and took measurements. They drew up a quote, but they would only discuss the quote with both financial deciders present (red flag). So we made an appointment. My wife and I listened to what they had to say. They told us about how great their company was (about 30 minutes). Then the salesmen asked us if it sounded like a trustworthy company that we would want to do business with (2nd red flag). They then spent the next 40 minutes telling us all about new spray and telling us how great the product was. They gave us BS statistics to soften us up for their ridiculous quote. ""If you paint every 3 years (no one does that), at $5,000 per job (nobody pays that for a house our size), then your cost over the next 15 years would be $25000 dollars (now I know how much their quote will be). Then they asked if new spray sounds like a product we would put on our house. Then they gave us the quote that is good for 90 days. $23,000!!! But if we sign today, it is only $20,000. (imagine that). After they stepped out so we could think about it, they came back in and we said no. They asked why and we told them we are not paying that much. They tried to talk us into it for about 10 minutes. Then one of the guys said he had to call in the numbers to his boss for the 90 day quote. When he got off the phone, he said that his boss authorized another 5% off.
They are as bad as a timeshare company. They left us with 2 hours of wasted time and a shady feeling about their company. I would not do business with this company.
El V.Claims to be in business for over 10 years but no reviews on BBB website and only one Yelp review prior to mine. Huge red flags. This means they have changed name somewhat recently. Contractors only change names when they are being sued by upset customers or have earned a very bad reputation in their community.
Just another shady contracting company that uses door to door soliciting and IGNORES any no soliciting signs. Neighbor got a quote from them and it was double what a local contractor quoted on the same job with exact same materials.
Any contractor worth hiring is booked up to their ears in jobs due to positive word of mouth or positive online buzz. Heck, the badly needed repairs along the Texas coast after Harvey should be enough to keep these guys busy for months if not years. But for some reason they came all the way to Austin to annoy people with tired old ""we are doing work for your neighbor"" lies. When I asked which neighbor they just gave me a blank stare and some mumbling.
Only desperate or shady contractors who cannot provide a high enough quality of work to earn word of mouth referrals would ever need to use door to door advertising. If they cannot read a simple no soliciting sign I have doubts as to how they could read a site plan or other paperwork related to a complex contracting job.
