In 2018, I took my first steps in the industry as a helper, transporting shingles and bundles to rooftops. I sought financial stability, and despite the hard labor, I stayed dedicated. I earned cash on a daily basis. I recognized that roofing could lead to greater opportunities since I was willing to work hard and was bilingual. Indeed, hard work yields rewards! Eventually, I received an offer to become a crew leader for a subcontractor in Lubbock, Texas. I operated his truck and dump trailer, overseeing debris disposal from projects and nailing roofs. Essentially, I was in charge of everything, tracking the number of squares completed by the end of each week for all the houses. I continued in this position until 2021, believing I had acquired sufficient skills to start my own business. I launched my own roofing sales, equipped with the knowledge he had shared with me about the industry. I saw my income grow and stayed dedicated to my craft. In time, I made the decision to form my own company, Tellomade Roofing & Construction, and registered it in Texas in January 2023.
