In 2018, I took my first steps in the industry as a helper, transporting shingles and bundles to rooftops. I sought financial stability, and despite the hard labor, I stayed dedicated. I received cash payments daily. I recognized that roofing could lead to greater opportunities since I was willing to work hard and was bilingual. Indeed, hard work yields rewards! Eventually, I received an offer to become a crew leader for a subcontractor in Lubbock, Texas. I drove his truck and dump trailer, managing debris removal from projects and installing roofs as a nailer. I took charge of all operations, monitoring the square footage completed by the week's end for each house. I remained in this role until 2021, feeling that I had gained enough knowledge to venture out on my own. I launched my own roofing sales, equipped with the knowledge he had shared with me about the industry. I experienced a rise in earnings and continued to focus on my work. In time, I made the decision to form my own company, Tellomade Roofing & Construction, and registered it in Texas in January 2023.
