My journey started in 2018 when I worked as a helper, lifting shingles and bundles onto roofs. I was in need of income, and while the work was challenging, I remained committed. I earned cash on a daily basis. I understood that a career in roofing could take me far, as I was ready to put in the effort and I spoke two languages. The fruits of hard work are real! One day, I was offered a position as a crew leader for a subcontractor in Lubbock, Texas. I drove his truck and dump trailer, managing debris removal from projects and installing roofs as a nailer. I took charge of all operations, monitoring the square footage completed by the week's end for each house. I continued in this position until 2021, believing I had acquired sufficient skills to start my own business. I began selling my own roofs, as he had taught me everything about the trade. I experienced a rise in earnings and continued to focus on my work. Ultimately, I chose to create my own business, Tellomade Roofing & Construction, officially registering it in Texas in January 2023. I pray for blessings on my business, my family, and the skills I have honed. I strive to treat every client as if they are family.
