I began my journey in 2018 as a helper, carrying shingles and bundles up to roofs. I was in need of income, and while the work was challenging, I remained committed. I earned cash on a daily basis. I understood that a career in roofing could take me far, as I was ready to put in the effort and I spoke two languages. Indeed, hard work yields rewards! Eventually, I received an offer to become a crew leader for a subcontractor in Lubbock, Texas. I operated his truck and dump trailer, overseeing debris disposal from projects and nailing roofs. In essence, I managed all aspects, keeping count of the squares completed weekly for every house. I remained in this role until 2021, feeling that I had gained enough knowledge to venture out on my own. I started marketing my own roofing services, having learned all the ins and outs from him. I saw my income grow and stayed dedicated to my craft. Ultimately, I chose to create my own business, Tellomade Roofing & Construction, officially registering it in Texas in January 2023.
