Recommended Customer Reviews

This is a review of a recent re-roofing of my house by TCB Elite Fleet in the Mont Belvieu Texas area:
If I was away from my house, such as at work while the roof shingles were being replaced and returned to see the completed job I would give this company a ten star review from my observations. However, because I am retired I was here. In a way that was a good thing but stressful.
First the good: Cory, the Sales Associate met with the insurance person that inspected our roof for damage. Our insurance company agreed to full roof replacement minus depreciation. I feel without his presence that might have been unlikely. He was also a valued go-between with patience and tact. The pick up clean up was good.
Now for what turned a ten star review to four (at best):
(1) We had a clear understanding that because of major road construction here there was to be no parking on our two lane road (with no shoulder). They parked five cars and trucks on the road. I could not get cooperation and there were other parking alternatives.
(2) I noticed looking out my kitchen window some of the crew was using the tin roof of a 20x20 carport recently built (at a somewhat high cost due to our 140 MPH wind zone building code) as a workstation with three stacks of shingles on it and several other roofing equipment. Crew moving on and off the c/p constantly. When I confronted one of the men on my c/p roof all he wanted to do was argue. To end the argument I told him the roofing company will pay for any damage to the carport... they quit using the c/p roof and removed the equipment. Unfortunately I failed to record this so it has little worth.
(3) This is a big one: The roofing crew supervisor ( name intentionally withheld) returned and seemed very irritated that I confronted a worker. In other words I did what he should have done. Our conversation got aggressive and loud. Fortunately I have video & audio of this.
Also he went on with blatant lies about me authorizing parking in my backyard (you would have to travel a private road to get to my backyard, I could not and did not authorize that. Also how some folks stopped to compliment him on the vehicles parked on the road, yes, that's recorded, he said that, and there are others.
(4) I was told there was an area of roof decking that was bad and do I want it replaced? Knowing insurance included this I said yes. I was sent photos after roof completion and saw there were two other areas that required the same and I can only hope they were repaired. I was never told about those. No, that's not a big one but is it that difficult to communicate?
This seems to be a good roofing company. However they do need to impress upon the employees the correct things to do and of course, the logical things not to do. I have reason to believe there are other professional roofing companies that would do an admirable job with more respect for the homeowner and likely at a lower cost. (my house and garage are normal size, reroofing was $28000)

Highly recommend! They worked with our insurance and a very easy process! Cory always kept us informed. 3 ppl in my family have used them.

Quality service and workmanship. Thorough communication and assistance navigating the insurance claim process.

TCB Elite Fleet did a fantastic job replacing our roof after a hail storm--they successfully negotiated additional payments from our insurance company for items their adjuster missed. TCB's crew was timely and professional. Chad, Mark and their entire crew exceeded our expectations in all areas. We highly recommend them.

TCB Elite Fleet stands for honesty and integrity. It all started with a hail storm that hit our area. We suspected our roof was damaged since asphalt particles from the shingles was visible on the driveway the day after. Two days later I was out by the road pondering what to do about the roof when two guys in a pickup truck containing Bryan Icet and Mark Gatlin from TCB came driving by handing out business cards. I invite them to inspect the roof. Within minutes I learn that yes, the hail damaged the roof, and TCB employs personnel local to east and north east Harris County Texas. I also learned that TCB will not falsely claim to find damage to a roof. Bryan told me he has very strong family ties to Cove, Texas and with that a reputation of high values to uphold. Mark told me that even though his brother owns the company he would get fired in a heartbeat for any missteps. They care about keeping in good standing with home owners and insurance companies. They use tier 1 CertainTeed roof shingles and products that come as a complete roofing system that they install to exact manufacture specifications. They use upgraded roof jacks and wider drip flashing. They have a mix of highly skilled installers, some of which are from different countries and ALL are legally documented. I told Bryan and Mark that I read reviews of companies before doing business. They both encouraged me to read reviews and are proud of their reputation. So, the day the adjuster came out both Bryan and Mark made sure to be here when the adjuster did his inspection. They had worked with this particular adjuster on other claims in the past so that was comforting to know they had some familiarity. The owner, Chad stopped by to introduce himself. In the end our claim was approved by the insurance company (UPC). The morning of install I was introduced to excellent project manager James, and Chad's cousin David, who oversaw the installers as they poured over the roof. Chief installer/foreman Lewis was right up there with the crew. Lewis's father-in-law (Mr. Jerry) was also an integral part of the ground crew and stayed one step ahead of the needs of the guys on the roof and kept things tidy down below. The entire crew worked well together from the ground up. It was great to see Bryan that morning as well. Seeing a familiar face that was there on day one was nice. I was impressed that Chad stopped in several times throughout the day. They tore off and installed the new roof in sections since there was a chance of rain that day. And yes, it did rain but they were very well prepared for it. James and Bryan were watching the clouds and weather radar on their phones and relaying to the installers how far to proceed on the roof. They dried everything in before the rain came and finished the roof before midafternoon the next day. This was one big process and I can't say enough of how well TCB, Bryan, Mark, James, Chad, David, and Lewis and the crew of installers did for us. They are excellent guides that steered us through it all. These guys are hands ON as well. There was a problem with our existing vent stack from the hot water heater not locking together, that's when Bryan and James got in the attic and on the roof to secure it properly. After the end of day Brian and James joined in the cleanup with magnets to help pick up any remaining nails and scraps off the driveway. I was impressed with the professionals TCB called in to replace our hail damaged window screens, gutter screens and downspouts, so they know more than roofs. They cover it all. They did everything they promised plus some from being on time with appointments, excellent communication, interaction with the insurance adjuster and great cleanup. We had a nice follow up with Chad and James after the project was done. Bryan and Mark stopped in twice to drop off window screens and to make sure everything they promised was fulfilled. After all this its apparent to me that this company has great leadership at the top. They employ top notch employees and have formed a tight knit bound by having frequent BBQs and outings for the workers and their families. In the field TCB did well to pair the dynamic duo of personalities of Bryan Icet and Mark Gatlin making many of the initial contacts. Our roof looks great. I highly recommend TCB Elite Fleet.

Great honest people. Not only do they do great work but they always give back to the community. This is what all small business owners should be like
