Javier is now in charge of his family's multigenerational roofing business based in Redwood City. I learned that his family's business has been doing a lot of work in my neighborhood in Los Altos Hills. He was very flexible to come repair damaged roof cap shingles that were damaged from a previous storm. I had to take a trip out of town for 2 weeks and Javier came with his father to repair my damaged roof on a Saturday just 2 days before my trip (even though he had a full schedule he fit me in). I was worried since it rained last week and I was so happy he accommodated me and repaired my roof for piece of mind before my trip. Javier and his father were so professional, clean, set up efficiently and quickly, repaired not only the damaged portion of roof but other areas I did not notice were damaged before. They were very efficient, pleasant and what I thought was 20 feet of damaged roof they ended up fixing 32 feet of damaged roof. Yet my front driveway and house are neat and clean as when they got here. They came at 11am on time and finished by noon. So fast, so professional. They even sent pictures afterwards of the repair. Awesome can not recommend Javier's family business enough and will use them when we replace the entire roof with a new addition in the future.

Since completion of the roof we've found a few errant roofing nails (having stepped on them). It happens with roofing projects and Miguel came out and did another pass with a magnet. However, we've got little kids and the fact we stepped on multiple nails is notable. Make sure clean up is thorough.

Miguel Tapia and his crew replaced my roof in 11/2017. Miguel and his crew did a great job. Miguel was always very professional, knowledgeable, detailed oriented, honest, and his price was fair.
The job was completed in the timeline that he had provided. He also made good suggestions to improve the air circulation in my attic, which has resolved previous issues with humidity. The rainy season is over now (05/2018) and I have not had any problems with the new roof. I would highly recommend Miguel's roofing services!

His prices are very reasonable and the end result was great. We had three layers of roof on our house and his team did the removal, new roof and cleanup all in 3 days.

Miguel was amazing to work with on our roof replacement project. Prompt quote and explanation (48 hours from request).Always available for questions and concerns. He gave me a list of local references and brought over material samples upon request. He also gave me a list of neighbors and the color of shingles so I could see what they looked like installed. Clean up every day, not a scrap of paper left behind! His crew was polite and courteous to me and my family. He worked tirelessly between storms to make sure we were sealed up tight and finished on time despite the weather. We are very happy with quality of work and service!

Miguel replaced my shake roof with a composition roof (which also means plywood sheeting was necessary), and installed new rain gutters, as well as replacing a dozen or so damaged eaves. The quote was reasonable and the workmanship very good. They even fixed two places where the roof never truly was flush to the walls, allowing roof rats access during maternity season (never could figure out exactly where they were getting in before). For the most part, the company is a family affair with a brother and cousins, and it seems to be a one crew operation (though they do use a tear off company, at least in my case). They're were not the cheapest, but came in competitive to the quotes I received from companies I would consider (a lot of these companies you have to watch out for). The project was done on schedule and I am very pleased (one rainy season later) with the result.

I wanted to write a review to express how pleased we were to find Miguel and have Tapia Roofing replace our roof 2 weeks ago. They are awesome! We were horrified to discover some pretty significant leaks in our roof in the middle of this last huge rain storm and I reached out to over 35 roofers to try and find someone who could replace it as soon as possible and at a decent price. Some of the things I really liked about Miguel were that he was very punctual, knowledgeable, kind, and straight-forward. He was not the cheapest bid that we got, but he was a lot more reasonable than the others (I got 7 bids) and I trusted him, which is worth it's weight in gold as far as I'm concerned. I verified that he was up to date with his license, workman's comp, etc. and he obtained a permit from the city in a really timely manner. Miguel also did custom-sawtered, galvanized gutters for us, which are not the cheap aluminum that most roofers use. We will have to paint these ourselves eventually, but they will last forever and are very strong, so its definitely worth it. The guys that work with Miguel are a wonderful group of men and a lot of them are members of his family. They were all professional and very nice. Miguel delivered as far as completing the work as planned and I have so much peace of mind now that roof is redone and it looks like a million bucks! Thank you so much, Miguel.

Miguel and Co. recently replaced the roof on our duplex and did a beautiful job! All employees are professional, courteous and the crew swept up daily after each day's work. Miguel explained each stage of the job and updated on current codes and how those new codes would help keep the home cooler in the summer and well-ventilated year-round.

Miguel kept to the schedule as stated! There were no extra charges added to repairs even after discovering dry rot. In addition, he installed stronger and better-looking gutters which were soldered at the corners.

If he owned a painting company, we'd hired him for that, too, knowing that we would get high-quality work done! At least we have a new roof and gutter system!

Bring on El Niño!!!
