We had lived in our house nearly 14 years and had no idea how old the roof was. This past January, during a very heavy rainstorm, the roof began leaking. I went into the attic with plastic sheets and a bucket to prevent water from leaking through to the ceiling. Two years prior, I had Rancho Rain Gutters (part of T&G Roofing) install gutters on my house. The estimator and installers were timely, professional, and did a great job at a good price. After discovering the leak, I called T&G.

The representative who came to check the roof, Mike Cernile, was excellent! He has many years of experience in the business and took his time examining every aspect: shingles, attic, air flow, etc. He showed me evidence of another leak that I was not aware of and thoroughly explained everything to my wife and me. Based on the type and wear of the shingles, he estimated that the roof was 25-30 years old. We decided it would be best to replace rather than repair. He very carefully walked us through several options suggesting what might work best for us which, by the way, were not the most expensive choices. He patiently answered our questions, sometimes multiple times, and I never felt pressured. In fact, he didn't want us to make a decision that day. He encouraged us to take our time, review the materials, and to contact him with questions. A couple days later I sent him an email with more than a dozen questions. He responded within a couple hours (on a Saturday), with full explanations to each one. Because of our previous experience with T&G, and our positive interaction with Mike, we gave them the contract. As with the gutters, the price was less than I expected.

The demo crew taking off the old roof was led by Clay. They were very efficient and did an excellent job cleaning up. I spent some time speaking with Clay. Like Mike, he has many years of experience and was helpful in answering questions I had about roofs in general as well as my specific issues. A day or so later, the installation began. There was a one-day delay due to rain, but the new roof was completed within a week. During the installation, I had additional questions that I emailed to Mike. Once again, on a weekend, he addressed my concerns and gave me reassurance about the results. The new roof looks great!

During our initial conversation with Mike he explained the importance of proper ventilation. We have a large attic/crawl space over our downstairs that had very little ventilation and a small crawl space over our upstairs bedrooms that had none. He told us that installing dormer vents and using the ridge vent system would greatly improve the circulation in the attics as well as help to keep the house cooler. I was skeptical of that. About a week after the installation was complete I had to get into the big attic. When I opened the entrance I felt a breeze in there that I had never experienced before. I've checked the attic many times since and there is always a constant air flow. Additionally, on hot days in the past, even with the air conditioning on, there was a noticeable difference in temperature when we got about halfway up the stairs. Unbelievably to me, even with the very hot temperatures we've had in the last few days, the circulation provided by new vents in the upstairs attic has eliminated that issue!

I have been very satisfied with T&G Roofing/Rancho Rain Gutters and would highly recommend them for any job you are considering.

T&G just finished redoing our roof. They worked while my wife and I were at work ourselves and were generally gone by the time we got home. With the exception of there not being a roof on our house we would never know that the workers were there. They cleaned up each and every day before they left. I don't know where to start really. My husband and I bought our dream home in the beautiful city of Alta Loma and knew it needed some love eventually. Roof, paint, driveway etc... but held off.
This past rainy season literally allowed it to rain inside the house. Who has that kind of money to just get a new roof? I started the search on the Nextdoor app that allows Neighbors to share references of business they used along with other things. I kept seeing T&G Roofing with wonderful comments. We had no choice but to get started on this venture. They sent someone out almost immediately and before we even signed anything and knowing it was going to rain, had some guys come out to tarp our roof to stop any further damage.
That right there confirmed who I would go with. They gave us options like using the Hero Program which allows us to make payments.
They checked on on us until the job started.
More importantly the owners came every day, in particular Tom, to make sure the job was flowing and walk me through every step. They even took our air conditioner, which looked like a Tractor on my roof, and created a beautiful box to set it on and cosmetically changed the house. With the help of Hagen Heating and Air who is phenomenal l!! Small family businesses like these are what we all need. People who care about their customers, not just the money. I will be grateful to them and their hard working teams who left out yards cleaner than when they arrived and ensured we were happy every step. Thank you T&G!!! Thank you Tom!!

I can not express how happy and satisfied we are with T&G. Our recently bought house had leaks all over. Destroying most of our home. T&G was amazing they where done in 3 days. With this crazy weather is something that was very important to us. They where done with demo within hours. They replace all the damaged wood. The crew was always very punctual, very clean( they even picked up my neighboors yard because some pieces flew over) they always made sure we knew what they did for the day and what tomorrows task was going to be. Miguel was great we did a final walk through. And i could tell that he takes pride in this company and his crew. He made sure we where taken care off and our satisfaction was reached. If you are looking for an honest roofer with experience and integrity look no further. Mike and his team have repaired our roof multiple times, because we are not ready to replace it yet.
