Peter and his son just finished replacing 80+ broken tiles on my roof and also added attic vents which were never installed when the house was built. My wife and I purchased a home in November, and just 30 days later with the first rain storm we had the roof leaking. I called Sutton and they gave me a reasonable estimate. On the next morning by 7 am i sent e mail to schedule the work. They called within an hour and came to start on the roof. By 830 am they were on the roof and start removing tiles to locate the problem. Worked all day till after dark. They went above and beyond working with flashlight to make sure the roof is water proof before the next rain coming at 5 am. Sutton roofing do care and take a pride of their work. I am very grateful for their honesty, quality work, and timely response. Big Thank you.

I flew in from Maui to take care of some projects for my mother. One of the items on her honey do list was a minor roof leak that Peter had repaired almost 5 years ago. Peter came out within an hour after I called him and was back a few days later to complete the needed repairs. The new leak had nothing to do with repairs that were completed before, but actually a chimney leak that was a separate issue. He was kind enough to cover it under the warranty from the previous work. Great work and would highly recommend him to anyone who needs work done. Thank you Peter, Glad to know my mom has a good contractor she can rely on.

Peter Sutton is probably the most honest and straight up man I have dealt with when it came to my roofing needs. He makes me feel comfortable and at ease and he explains things in such great detail I know exactly what I'm getting. I read a couple reviews below and without hearing Peter Sutton's side of the story I cannot picture him acting rude or even being impolite to anybody. Maybe his honesty and wanting to get things done in the right way scares most people but he made me feel at ease and I am grateful for the work he has done. I was referred from a friend and I'm glad Mr Sutton was the one I chose. I know if I had any issues or someone needed a referral I would definitely refer Mr Sutton. By the way he asks for your email because it is the fastest way to get a bid over to you. Thank you Sutton Roofing.

We called Sutton Roofing to give us an estimate after some wind damage. Peter Sutton called my wife to arrange to come over, asked her for her email. As we just moved she said it was just changed and she was not sure of it, he said that's weird. He shows up at our house hands my wife his card, my wife said I do not appreciate being called weird. Peter Sutton then grabbed his card back from my wifes hand and stormed away. Obviously not the company you want working on your home.

I see I am not the only one to think Peter Sutton is a jerk as I see the same postings from others on here! Good job Mr. Sutton, LOL!!!!!!

I called Peter Sutton on the 6th of May, 2014 to request a quote for a re-roof in Idylwild, California. There was so much distraction in the background (other voices, long pauses between my sentences) that made the conversation very difficult.

Bottom line, he wanted a mailing address (different from the property address) to send me a quote. I told him that I didn't think that was necessary, since all the other contractors with whom I spoke just asked for a phone number and/or email address. I eventually relented, and as I was about to give him my mailing address, he told me that ""something just came up, and I can't go to your house to give you a quote. Have a nice day."" He hung up. It's my opinion that Mr. Sutton didn't like my tone as I was telling him that he was the first contractor to request a physical mailing address to send a quote.

Peter Sutton, in my opinion based on this phone call, is one of the most rude, quick-tempered, unprofessional, argumentative people ever to claim to be a contractor. I understand that his roofing expertise is satisfactory, but unless you're willing to put up with his condescending attitude, this is not the guy for you.
