I had SS resurface my lanai - the existing waterproofing was bubbling and degrading. Additionally, I had some rotted wood that they had to take care of first, which made the railing wobble.

The process took a couple of weeks but afterwards it all looks so much better. They went in there and replaced all the rotting wood without completely disassembling the lanai, painstakingly scraped off the old surface, and applied a beautiful new treatment. We're very happy with the results.

We used Surface Shield Roofing to install a new roof at our house in Hawaii Kai 5 years ago. Their prices were competitive as we had received multiple quotes from different vendors. The installation went smoothly and their support staff (especially, Steve Carlson and few others I can't remember their names) is amazing.

The surface shield staff has been very prompt in their after sales support and service. We had some roof issues (not related to Surface Shield work), but they helped us out promptly and didn't try to extract more money from us for some work unrelated to the project. Recently, I had questions about installing solar panels and our solar installer needed additional info about roof design and Steve Carlson from Surface Shield has gone out of his way to help. He is extremely prompt, responsive and goes out of his way to help.

Last year, I had called one of their employees who is no longer with the company. He still responded and connected me to right person at Surface Shield. It is rare to find a company where you get such a prompt response and support from current and former staff and that too after 5 years of initial project. Maybe the experts who write management books should interview Surface Shield team and find out what's their secret of building such a great team and customer first culture.

I would highly recommend Surface Shield to anyone for roofing work or any other services they offer now or in future! Mahalo

The latest heavy rain and wind prompted us to call surface shield to inspect a leak on our bedroom ceiling. We have a 7 yr warranty for workmanship and a 10 yr manufacturer warranty we assumed a small leak would be covered. No so, as explained by Percy Wong surface shield is a surface protection on your existing roof. Roofer came over and did see the discolored, small oval leak and immediate referred us to another person who communicated well saying coating is for surface and roof is not under 7yr warranty. It's would cost us approx $1,000. Initially, 12 tiles were replaced before shield applied meaning they worked on the roof itself to do replacement. So shouldn't be Surface Shield responsible for underlying roof if they worked with nails, etc to replace those tiles before applying shield. What good is a warranty when there is no periodic inspection during 7 yr period to check their work? We keep getting mailers asking for referrals an have done that with neighbor Elizabeth Lum but it was too expensive for only garage leak. It's difficult to refer anyone knowing that warranty coverage is so limited.

We recently had the tile roof on our gazebo cleaned, repaired, and repainted by Surface Shield Roofing Company. We are very happy with the results, Ryan was so patient with us in helping to get the color and type of paint that we wanted. Percy kept us informed of the process and checked on the progress. Our crew of Austin Wallace, Matt Lamphere, Jason Gomes, and
Cody Lee were great. They worked hard (even in the hot sun), were friendly, courteous, and cleaned up every day before they left. They carefully covered part of our pool, deck and fence to prevent them from being damaged by the paint. We were impressed with how they worked together as a team to complete the job. We would recommend SSRC to do your work. They use quality products, and all of the employees we had contact with were great. Thank you to each of them.

There is no other word to describe the service Surface Shield Roofing brings but ""PERFECT"". From the beginning to completion, everything was worry free. My roof not only looks fantastically new but it is well protected from the weather elements. During the initial sight visit Percy, project manager, answered every question I had and recommended the best approach to the type of roof I have which is a combo of pitched and flat.

Prior to the scheduled roofing, I thank Frank and Champagne for all their hard work for laying tarp over the leaky sections of my flat roof due heavy rains we had in Dec 2021 and early Jan 2022 to protect my roof in case of another episode of heavy rain which Steve, SSRC, manager coordinated.

Kelsey, project coordinator, was awesome to see the roofing through to completion. She was always quick to respond and answer all my phone calls even when I had many questions. Thanks so much Kelsey!

And here comes the Residential Roofing crew to make it all happen. Chaz, foreman for the project, so patient and knowledgeable ensured the roofing was PERFECTLY done from beginning to end. His Team of gentlemen, John, Koa, Romeo, Lejje, and Jude worked flawlessly and professionally together to ensure my roof was water tight and every shingle was placed in the PERFECT position. We just wrapped up our roof job! SSRC is a great company to work with. They were honest, reliable, and easy to work with. I liked how they used quality materials and didn't try to cut corners. Thank you Ryan for the estimation, thoroughness, and clear proposal. Thank you Percy and team for the excellent prep work, carpentry, and coating. They cleaned up daily, cleared away debris quickly, and ordered an outdoor bathroom. Their office staff is also responsive and easy to reach. They offer electronic/digital proposal review, contract signing, and payment. All around professional and easy to do business with!

We had the privilege of having Surface Shield Roofing, LLC (SSRC) install our Photovoltaic (PV) system in the past. They did an amazing job, taking care of everything with professionalism and integrity. When we needed to have our roof re-roofed (due to wind damage), we were very pleased that SSRC agreed to perform the necessary repairs, as we knew that they would do an excellent job. Because of the number of roofs SSRC does, there was a bit of a wait-time to start our job, but the wait was well worth the product. They were again very professional, clean, and courteous. I have experience with many other roofing companies (through our church, friends, etc.), and none of the other companies compares to the quality of SSRC. For most of the other companies, it cost a fair amount to fix the damages to landscaping, other property, or to complete an incomplete job, but not with SSRC. I can't thank them enough, Even the president of the company worked personally with us... We could not be more satisfied.

Quick to respond, Roy the estimator was great, price was good, they were only company to suggest the TPO roofing option (which we chose). Other companies did not respond when I asked for quotes to replace our roof back in March, maybe roofers were busy. They did a great job on the roof. Main problem was that it took them 3 weeks to put back the solar water panels after ther put on the roof.
