We had the privilege of having Surface Shield Roofing, LLC (SSRC) install our Photovoltaic (PV) system in the past. They did an amazing job, taking care of everything with professionalism and integrity. When we needed to have our roof re-roofed (due to wind damage), we were very pleased that SSRC agreed to perform the necessary repairs, as we knew that they would do an excellent job. Because of the number of roofs SSRC does, there was a bit of a wait-time to start our job, but the wait was well worth the product. They were again very professional, clean, and courteous. I have experience with many other roofing companies (through our church, friends, etc.), and none of the other companies compares to the quality of SSRC. For most of the other companies, it cost a fair amount to fix the damages to landscaping, other property, or to complete an incomplete job, but not with SSRC. I can't thank them enough, Even the president of the company worked personally with us... We could not be more satisfied.

Quick to respond, Roy the estimator was great, price was good, they were only company to suggest the TPO roofing option (which we chose). Other companies did not respond when I asked for quotes to replace our roof back in March, maybe roofers were busy. They did a great job on the roof. Main problem was that it took them 3 weeks to put back the solar water panels after ther put on the roof.

Surface shield had inspected the roofs of our houses. They recommended cleaning and maintenance for two and replacement for two. They said that they provided seven year warranty. A little over two years after their work, two roofs were blown off. Meteorologist said velocity of wind might have been as high as 20 mph. Shon refused to honor his warranty saying that warranty was invalid for winds over 60 mph but had no proof that winds were over 60 mph. Surface shield did horrible work and refused to honor their warranty.

Professional and quick to respond. After reaching out to multiple companies Roy from Surface Shield Roofing gave me a call immediately. I have a home in Waipio gentry and he was very knowledgable about the type of roofs allowed in that area as the HOA has specifics rules and gave us a very competitive quote for 3 different approved roof types. He also gave us suggestions on quick fixes which I appreciated as some roofing companies imply try to sell you on the most expensive solution.

When I see all the good comments. I decide call this company to do my roof. Salesman was very nice. And tell me all detail about how they going to do. But after paying 1/2 money of the work. I'm getting hard time to find them. I'm starting worry about is this company existing,

Can't say enough good things about UPB. It is so difficult these days to find high quality, straight forward, honest and reliable people to work on your house. We had several renovation and upgrades that we needed to do and searched for some time to find someone we felt comfortable with, who would work with us to come up with some designs, discuss materials, options, and agree a budget that worked. Then we met the owner of UPB, Kevin, and we immediately knew that our search was over. There was no sales b.s. and he took the time to really understand our needs, find a timeline that would work. When the work started it was done with the minimum of fuss and with the attention to detail that a home owner really looks for, especially by Jake the carpenter, all at a very reasonable cost. Even when we decided to slightly change the original plans, it proved to be no problem for this thoroughly professional outfit.

We hired UPB to build an ADU above our carport. The job was pretty extensive. It included demolition of the old attached carport, a lot of site and concrete work for a new foundation, and construction of an elevated 1-bedroom apartment with full kitchen and bathroom. Not only was UPB's price reasonable compared to other bids we got for the job, but the quality of the work was great. Kevin was also reasonable and easy to work with on unexpected changes. Definitely would recommend!
