I have repeatedly been solicited to by this company going door to door in my neighborhood. I've put signs out that state no soliciting, I've ignored them ringing my doorbell, and still they come back repeatedly. Over three times now. Once, I opened the door and told a representative distinctly (politely) I was not at that time, and never going to be interested, in their product. They came back again today and interrupted my family's dinner. I don't even know if this company is legitimate, but I wouldn't do business which such scummy salespeople even if I wanted solar.
Was approached to do solar and after doing some digging we decided to go with sunvena. Very good experience, they were quick and kept me in the loop on each step. Have already received two of my neighbors to them. Job well done
We trusted this company with our solar install and regret this decision immensely. Our panels were installed November 2022, in May, 6 months later we had our first leak. I sent a support email and was sent a crew to inspect. The attention we received was quick and responsive- something the owner has given himself a standing ovation over.
The report I received was ""Found one incorrectly made flashing, we reinstalled it correctly, and made sure it was sealed properly.""
This very serious problem went on for 6 months before being discovered causing serious damage to our roof. Like the report says the flashing was corrected but the damage that was done by this is still there and we also developed second leak. Again, multiple crews sent. Second leak was repaired by the second crew. Was then told it was not from the panels but that they fixed it anyway. Interesting right- this will be used as a ""look at how great we are"" but is it really because of the flashing damage?
After informing me of the now second repair that needed to be made on the roof I was also told that my roof was deteriorating and appeared to look 20 years old. Interesting again because it's only 8 years old and was in great condition and passed the inspection by SunVena. But here is the catch with their ""inspection""-
They write in the contract ""Roof Condition Disclaimer: SunVena Solar is not a roofing contractor and makes no representations and offers no opinions regarding condition, workmanship, age, and/or life expectancy of any roof and/or its components. Any roof inspection performed by SunVena Solar prior to Installation is to make a preliminary determination as to dead load for purposes of bearing the System's weight only. Homeowner understands and agrees it is their sole responsibility to have the roof inspected by a licensed third-party roofing contractor to determine condition, workmanship, age, and/or life expectancy of any roof.
Crazy because they use the fact that they are a roofing company as a selling point. So which is it?
The work that was done was sloppy and resulted in damage that we still have. We have leak stains in two spots that are so bad, ceiling paint can't cover them. Our roof needs to be replaced, multiple Sunvena employees have express that to me so that is our demand.
It has been more than two weeks since the owner or any upper management has responded to my emails. His one and only response to me was to praise his company for being responsive, then ultimately deny the responsibility his company has for the roof damage we incurred. I'm very curious about the experience that is required to work for this company. After installation, we had soffit damage that we knew would be repaired. The repair- a 2x4 glued over the damage. With a ""you can paint it if you want"" remark before the guy left. Needless to say they sent another person out- not a Sunvena employee to actually make the repair.
Do your research and understand they send out a ""review specialist"" with an actual laptop to have you write multiple reviews for multiple sites the day of installation BEFORE YOUR PANELS ARE EVEN TURNED ON. So you decide how accurate these 5 stars actually are.
Had a great experience with SunVena. They did everything they promised. was a quick and easy process to deal with. I have already recommended two of my neighbors
Don't use them. They are the absolute worst company that I have ever worked with. We've lost several days of wages because they can't get their stuff together and get their stories straight. Use someone else because this company requires way to much energy to deal with.
Cardone M.Hunter from SunVena is amazing - I will sign the contract ASAP
Sunvena was the third company I was looking at and I selected them. They are locally owned and operated in Sanford. No subcontractors. Installation was quick with six people installing the system within six hours. Two different inspections were made for electrical and structural. Structural did not pass the first time as some bolts were loose but the next couple of days they were tightened and passed inspection. Electrical passed with no problem. I did have a small paperwork problem with the spec sheet was not correct with the permit packet. Again problem was rectified by pulling a panel and verifying a new spec sheet. Simple minor issue. Panels are listed as very good with a very high energy rating. Liz was my initial salesperson who worked with me through the process and Hains assisted her as a neighbor recommended him. My initial star rating was 4.3 but Hains has come out to my house on his days off and answered my phone calls if I had any questions. 4.8 stars is my score for them and I would highly recommend them. Company warranty is 25 years on all components. I must also add that the panels are not scattered in different areas of the roof but evenly placed which makes it neat in appearance. They use Enphase inverters which a highly recommended. I am able to see each panel working producing power and daily, monthly, and annual production through Enphase. The Enphase app is easy to use.
Howard B.Consultative and Very Accessible Company!
Our experience with SunVena has been stellar! I am a very knowledgeable consumer and shopped multiple companies. We chose SunVena because they were locally owned and operated and accessible at every level. Our Energy Consultant came recommended by a close friend of ours and focused more on education and understanding than simply ""pushing a sale."" The installation team did a terrific job of cleaning up the site and the electrician who worked the project was fantastic too. Everyone at the company is very personable and overall, it's been a great experience! We've already been recommending SunVena and are excited to see what kind of energy savings we will have this next year.
Gregory J.SunVena was a great company to work with very professional. All expectations were met . Everytime the team me they left the home clean and neat. Showed us different houses and tutorials. We were sold right away. No pressure to buy. Great company.
Sunvena Solar was not my least expensive quote, but I chose them for the reputation and recommendations - not to mention how easy they were to work with when she came to do the home assessment which was more educational than the others. Everyone at Sunvena that I communicated with were knowledgeable and courteous, I felt like we were family.
I'm highly satisfied with everything, from Sunvena coordinating installation of my new roof before my solar installation to the consultation with Nathan after the install to show me how everything works and what to expect. I'll definitely recommend Sunvena to friends and family who are interested in switching to solar.
