This roofing company is outstanding. They are a business with old-school values like dependability, customer service, and hard good work. They give you really fair pricing and a very clear bill that shows you exactly what they will be doing. Beyond all this great stuff, they act like they are proud of their work and like they want to make sure your roof is really ready to take on wind and rain.

I had Sunshine roofing do my roof. They are very professional and Julio is a very courteous young man. They finish the house in a day and a half and did a wonderful cleanup I'm very impressed with this company and I would highly recommend them

What's up with TOM H. below??? What a mean spirited reviewer (even if there was no response: Sunshine probably never got your mesg(s) - thats quite plausible)

We have an old house and over the years Julio and his team (including his Dad) have always been very responsive and provided competitive quotes. We have used them twice in recent years and they get my 5star approval.

We had a small leak last winter. Based on where it occurred, it is most likely an issue with tje flashing on skylight. Seeing the five star reviews here, I emailed photos and detailed explanation of the brand of shingle, age of roof, etc. what I done to test for the point of leakage.

I requested that they contact me to schedule on site review/repair. I wasn't even shopping this around. Which is why I provided the details in the original email. I really just wanted them to schedule a time and show up ready to make any necessary repairs. I was pretty much willing to pay any reasonable amount they might estimate to make the repair without attempting to get a bunch of competitive bids for this small job.

I received NO REPONSE! I followed up via phone, leaving message on answering machine. Still, NO RESPONSE! Followed up with another email requesting they at least respond to let me know they have received my inquiry, and let me know if they were interested. I realized this was comparatively small job during the busy summer season. But I needed to know if they would even come out at some point before the rains. Still, NO RESPONSE.

I don't even know if they are in business at this point. :-(

Sadly - for them - this minor repair was to be a test for some much larger roofing work I am in need of, including a complete reroof on another house I have in Contra Costa County.

I don't chase contractors. NO RESPONSE says plenty about them, before I even hire them. If a contractor doesn't take the time to respond to my initial phone call, email or in-person consultation within a reasonable time frame, I take that as a sign of things to come. If I hired someone like that, I should not be surprised if they don't keep to their schedule, take longer than he promised, skip days or weeks during the job, or prolong the job and run over the estimate/budget.

I am left doubting the validity of the five star reviews here on yelp. Maybe they just got a bunch of their friends and family to post such positive reviews.

Hats off to Sunshine Roofing. They were able to quickly and efficiently solve our roof problem and at a very reasonable price. I loved that he took photos of our roof so I could see what needed to be done. And as it just started raining, it was so good to know that he was here to help as he promised.

Gus and his team did a fantastic job on our roof. I met with Gus on day 1 and he explained what his plan was and how long it would take. That was a Wednesday morning. Our new roof was finished the next day by mid day (a day early). They were clean and respectful of our property and our neighbors are still complementing on how great it looks. Great company and a great family.

It's usually a pain to coordinate work done on the house... a lot of no-answers, voicemails, etc. They responded quickly to my request, and I was able to get the work done in the same week. Basic gutter and roof cleaning - there was a lot of moss growing on tiles and plants sprouting in the roof valleys. They arrived on time for the appointment, were friendly, and got the job done. Couldn't have asked for more. They made it easy, and I appreciate that!

Julio and his team were absolutely amazing. I am so thankful that I found them. I found out 2 months after purchasing my home that my homeowner's insurance would be cancelled if I did not completely replace the roof. Not only was my roof steep, I was surprised to find that it had 3 layers and NO sheathing. The roof needed to be fixed immediately, and after spending almost every night for 2 weeks getting bids - from Sears, local roofers, and large contractors - I found Julio. Not only was he equally knowledgeable, but also the most responsive, and had a competitive price for what needed to be done. From the time it took for him to do the estimate, to finishing the roof was about 6 days. On the first day I was home sick and his crew worked so hard, and was also kind and considerate. Clean up was excellent and I have a beautiful new roof! Wish they did other services because it was such a pleasure working with them.

I have sent them a text message together with a photo of my roof and requesting for a ballpark figure on how much for the repair. They responded back and said it all depends on what is needed. I requested for them to check it out so that they could personally see. They totally ignored my request and never got a reply. I was just hoping that if they do not like or have time to do my project to at least reply and not to ignore customer inquiry. Very poor communication.
