This review is long overdue, but it's better late than never.

Sunshine Roofing has to be the worst roofing company you can find. Poor workmanship, won't stand behind their work, rude and unresponsive once they get your money.

I hired them to reroof my house in 2008- huge mistake! The new roof started leaking during the first rain! They refused to come back to take care of the problem until I threatened to ask my city not to renew their license. They reluctantly came back to do something which didn't fix anything. I had to hire another roofer to fix the leak.

I wish I could give them a zero star rating or lower.

As a realtor, I must say this is one of the worst experience I've ever had. During the coordination of scheduling to get a quote from an office manager HSB, felt that it was a bit odd how their scheduling system works- We must wait till 8-9pm to confirm for the time they can come out. It was a bit odd but I thought maybe they just work with old appointment system so I cooperate.

She texts me around 9:30pm that our appointment will be 8:30-9:30am. I had a tight schedule this morning and with past experience behind working with numerous unpunctual subcontractor, I decided to call at 8:30am to make sure they are showing up on time since if they dont, they will just wait their trip to come out here.

I called and the office lady picked up the phone. I asked nicely if I could confirm the time frame they will be here. She said that she can't say, and that the workers will not pick up the phone call in the morning, therefore I just have to wait. So I asked if I could have their number so I can call instead of herself calling them (felt like maybe she doesn't want to do the work of calling ) and she yelled and told me to cancel, and hung up on me. Never once felt this shame and unpleasant feeling of being ignored, treated after being cordial and trying to be helpful.

10 minutes later, a Chinese Vietnamese older gentlemen with sunshine roof logo-ed jacket showed up in front of our gate. I asked him who was the lady and told him that she just yelled at me and told me to cancel, and asked him if he knew what was going on. And he just walked away with no words like he is very upset. I couldn't even chase him after to find out what just happened. Strangest experience ever!

I tried to think of what I could've done to prevent this to happen this morning. Maybe they are just having a bad day, or maybe that they are just busy and rather not take the work of fixing the roof because they will not make much money. I'm not sure. But if you are looking for roof guy who is sincere, communicative and cordial, I will definitely not recommend this company.

I'd like to share my unpleasant experience with Sunshine Roofing. I made the mistake of choosing to do business with them after they presented the lowest price out of the other roofers. Unfortunately after signing with them, they did the ""bait and switch"" and changed the material I originally selected with a cheaper unreliable alternative that I did NOT select. I would not go back to them nor recommend their services to anyone I know.

Michael is an absolute legend and pleasure to work with. We were looking for a roofer that was able to service San Marino homes (knows the permitting process and approved roofing material) and could finish the job within a couple weeks. When talking with other roofers, the estimated job duration was always 2-4 months since they had to order and receive the roofing material. Michael and his team not only had the materials in stock, he gave us a great price and was able to execute and deliver on his projected timeline. Removal, installation, and inspection all went smoothly and he kept the job site very clean and tidy. I highly recommend Michael and Sunshine roofing for any roofing needs, especially in San Marino.

Extremely noisy, sloppy, rude workers. They yell and make excessive noise all day, starting in the very early morning. Public nuisance to the neighborhood. Their work also looks careless and unprofessional. Save your money and hire a company that will do the job right.

Had a minor leak on my garage today due to the heavy rain, call sunshine roof for estimated repair job, the older Chinese man came with arrogant attitude, he ordered me rudely open the garage , ( my neighbor thought he was rude as well ) didn't bother check the attic, told me it will cause $1800 to repair it, since it will be rain tomorrow, I asked nicely what should I do? He said he will charged $350 to put a cover On my little leak, hello, if this old man represents sunshine company, they are the highway robbery!!!
I texted a friendly review to sunshine at 626-288-0738, remind them this older gentleman needs to improve his manners, within a second, I got a nasty texted from them. Omg , can't believe their customer service was extremely bad. think twice if want to use them! Certainly they lost my and my neighbor's' business Already!!!

Definitely recommend! Great customer service and did a great job on my roof. Would definitely go back to Michael and co. if I need work on my roof again.

Due to heavy amount of rain over the past month in California, my roof had started to leak.

Sunshine roofing was recommended to me by a close friend.

Once my appointment was scheduled, the owner of the company Michael came to give me an estimate. He was very courteous and helpful when assessing the damages and costs.

Once we signed the contract, I was told a team would arrive the next day to begin repairs.

The repair team showed up promptly at 9am and was able to finish the job before noon! I was impressed by the efficiency and attention to detail they gave to the repair.

Overall this experience was truly wonderful. The repairs were done expertly without any issues. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs roofing repairs or re-roofing services!

We had very good service and a great quote from Sunshine Roofing. The arrived on time and quickly removed and replaced our old wood shingle roof that was falling apart and letting rodents and more into the attic with a Concrete tile shingle look roof that is water tight and will last longer. They have also come back more than once to repair broken tiles from a tree branch falling and other natural elements in a timely fashion and at a reasonable cost. Michael responds well to people who are responsible and respectful but I think that he tries to avoid aggressive and litigious types.

His business is busy though so if you have repairs you do have to be reasonable on when he can schedule them in. Overall we got great service from Sunshine Roofing over the past 3 years with great support even after the big job was done.
