Omri the owner of the company came out personally to do an estimate on my home.

He was on time, honest and cared about the fact we have pets.

I had three previous estimates but what really mattered to me was the fact he said his TEAM will each day go through the property with a metal detector to see to it no bits of metal, nuts, bolts, nails etc. are left behind that could be a danger to the animals.

That did it for me. The fact he cares about the safety of my animals was amazing.

He got the job.

He also helped us pick the color shingles that would best match the house esthetics. He is a real professional

Day one demo day, his TEAM arrived exactly when he said they would and he arrived to check on them and their progress.

They were so clean and tidy each day.

Day two, again arrived on time and finished the job as I was told they would. Again, Omri came by to check the work of his TEAM and make sure I was happy and I was.

I recommend him and his company, Sunset Home Builders wholeheartedly.

After the heavy rains earlier this year, we were looking for a reputable firm that could help us with construction. Sunset Home Builders came out to our house in the Hollywood Hills above Universal Studios. They surveyed the damage.

Sunset suggested that instead of simply replacing the roof, we could install insulation, solar panels with an integrated energy management system to sell power back to the grid AND put a new roof on our house.

The important point they explained was that by bundling the roof, insulation and solar, the entire cost would qualify for a tax credit! I was suspicious, so I checked with my CPA. Sure enough, Sunset was correct. They solved our leaky roof problem and provided us with a revenue source AND it cost us very little money.

I had a energy efficient ""flat"" roof replaced, new rain gutters installed, and some of the fascia boards replaced on my house. I got four bids for the job, threw out the highest and the lowest bids, and then looked at reviews, which is how I chose to use them. Firstly, Omri struck me as being honest and dependable. Also, I was impressed by how quickly this company was able to start the work (and it was fairly short notice). They were flexible with my odd work schedule. The guys doing the actual labor were very polite and cleaned up at the end of each day they worked. To be honest, a couple of small concerns did arise, but Omri never argued about the validity of my concerns or made me feel dumb for mentioning them, and he immediately agreed they would be resolved to my satisfaction (and they were). Finally, I would like to say that Omri and Nathan treated me like family, such great guys. I would definitely use them again for future projects, and am very happy to recommend them.

Earlier this year I wanted to get a solar system on an older home in LA before missing out on the net metering rule changed. I also needed a new roof to be installed before the solar system got on it. I started with getting several bids and got contacted by at least half a dozen companies which all wanted to do the roof and solar project. I ended up having personal meeting with four perspective companies and cost estimates. I ended up going with Omri from Sunset Home Builders for a number of reasons, low price, good products and it seemed he knew what he was doing.
Right after we executed the contract, Omri and their roofing folks went to work. They also started the design and permit process for the solar system right away. Spring rain storms were coming through every every few days, so the roofers had to work fast, getting the old roof off and getting the new materials up on the roof. Getting the area cleaned up after every work day was a challenge due to the number of old nails falling everywhere. The did OK with only a few nails left on the driveway even though they worked into the night when it was dark. I inspected the new roof as it was going up several times and watched the workers do their best to get things done before each rain storm. In the end, they still had to cover the roof with plastic when only 2/3 of the new roof was done one night when a rain storm came in. The roof got done the next week with some special work to deal with a problem spots which was caused by a poor design that existed decades ago.
The solar project got done after several missed start dates and delays from city inspectors for an electrical panel upgrade. Omri should have contacted me to give me more of an heads up on scheduling issues. But given he was working on several other projects on a rush basis, I excused his oversight. He always responded to my questions or issues within hours. Much better than other contractors I've had in the past. The solar system work has been completed for several weeks now but DWR has still not given us a ""Permission To Operate"" yet.
My five star ratting is mainly given due to the attentiveness of Omri and the completion of the work when there must have been a real rush on roofing and solar projects in the region.
