Milholland installed my solar system for a company that immediately went out of business. One of my panels is defective I believe. I haven't even been able to get a phone call back from them trying to get help with this.
According to the reviews, I won't be expecting a call back anytime, ever.

Work was done on my property. This company took the money they were supposed to use for the buyout of the previous company and pocketed all of it. Now I'm stuck paying for the extra $12,000. These companies are a scam.

Have you ever felt swindled by a company you trusted? That's been my experience with SunPower by Milholand. We have cameras set up around our property and it was a red flag when my husband saw one of their installers peeing on our outdoor air conditioning unit as they were installing our solar panels. But the worst part of our experience is the 7 solar panels that aren't producing energy for us. For the last 3 months my husband has left countless messages to have someone come fix these panels, but it wasn't until he left a negative review that anyone called back. And even when they did, they passed the buck to another company, called SIRC, and said we'd have to speak with Shelly Amendola for warranty issues. My husband left 2 messages for Shelly and I've left 5 with no response. How is a so called ""reputable"" company ok with taking a customer's money but ignoring them when they need help? From my experience, SunPower by Milholland and SIRC aren't concerned with the best interests of their customers. It's an awful feeling when you're stuck with a problem you can't solve on your own and no one wants to help you.

This company did my solar a few years back. Everything seemed good at the time. Unfortunately a leak developed from one of the panel installation points. I'm still within my warranty period. Trying to get ahold of them is impossible. No one answers the phone, no one returns voicemails, even tried submitting the request in writing. Had to come out of pocket thousands of dollars to pay for something that should have been a warranty repair. Probably best to avoid this company at all costs.

Incompetent management and terrible customer service, the company is no longer owned by the Milholland family, not sure who runs the company at this point and how much longer it will stay open. They were evicted from their office in El Cajon and not where to find their new address, stay away from this company.

I have been trying to contact this company for over 2 months with no response because 7 solar panels are not working that they installed. The installation was a joke and one of the technicians urinated about 1 foot away from my new AC unit (I have it on video). After 4-5 messages from my wife and myself, hopefully we get a response and this issue resolved. It should never get to the point of writing a bad review, which I should have done after the urination issue. I also showed the owner the video and had him come out, and his response was ""I don't see any pee"" when he looked at my new AC unit. Nice work Milholland. Maybe I'll take this down, or update if I get a timely response. In the meantime, I would recommend people call anyone but these guys for any kind of service they offer.

Stay away from Milholand and Chandler Pethel, their solar agent. He is a fraud! I have reported to Milholland about a solar panel that has not been producing energy for months now. I have attempted to reach out several times through emails and phone calls, but still no answer. Bad customer service will not honor their warranty. Avoid the headache and look somewhere else.

Milholland reached out and their very experienced tech arrived and began problem solving our panel and micro inverter issue. Awaiting parts and will update when all is completed.
They seem to have had a major change in either management or ownership which has created the turmoil in customer service which seems to be getting sorted.
Hope so and sorry founder and their philosophy left or was forced out.
Tech is super solid and extremely trustworthy, knowledgable, maybe he'll open his own shop :-).

Such a horrible experience that I regret solar entirely. These people are deceptive and fail to deliver. After filling my green waste bin with styrofoam, the installation team decided my pool was the next best trash can, costing me $100s in cleanup and repairs to my pool system. Installation crew destroyed $100s worth of solar yard lights by kicking and crushing them. I was promised compensation which was never provided. INSPECTION FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES because the electrical team improperly wired breakers and attempted to hide their failing workmanship from the city. Even the city inspector told me I made a huge mistake with who I hired for the job. Nearly 3 years later, they still have not returned to fix the loose breakers left floating in my breaker box and will not return my calls or emails. After installation, all my exterior and garage outlets stopped working. Was promised they would return to fix, never happened. Was promised a third party would come out to inspect the installation on the roof, never happened. It's nearly impossible to get them to answer calls after they sell you on the solar. Even my salesperson (Chandler) disappeared when the problems started. Don't make the mistake I did.

System installed a year and a half ago. Something has gone wrong with the systemand we tried to reboot it remotely with Sunpower. When that failed they said iy would require a technician's visit and to call our installer. (Milholland) This is the 4th time I am trying to make contact. My call gets transfered to nowhere. The messages I have left have ilicit no response. I guess once they taken your thousands of dollars for installation they are not interested in backing up the product they installed.
