We had a great experience. Everything was done as promised. It took 2 days to install the panels and the battery. That was a Monday and Tuesday. By Friday the system was inspected and up and running. We now have a very small electric bill. We're saving a ton.
Andy T.I waited a few months before reviewing on purpose. I wanted to make sure everything worked perfectly and the roof withstood a few rainstorms.
I shopped 8 companies and SunMade gave the best attention to my (very specific) requests. Everyone from the company representative at the home show through office staff and roof crew to the owner paid particular attention to my families needs as it pertained to solar. To say I am happy with the outcome is an understatement. I highly recommend SunMade. Bonus: the price $/p kWh was the cheapest of the competitors! Run the numbers yourself. All A+ = service, disposal, install, price, in-house roof crew, finished product.
I had my Solar installed May 9-10, 2024 and had no issues with the installation. Work was approved by the inspector on the following Monday. Everything was going great, however I noticed that my SCE bill never changed I called the Sun made office and asked if I had to contact SCE and they said they will take care of it. October I contacted SCE and I was told that Sun made submitted and application to operate, but it was not complete. I contacted SCE and was told that the person who handles this was on vacation but checks emails. I sent and email explaining the situation and waited 2 weeks with no follow up from Sun made I sent another email and next day I received notice that I was priority number 1. Two weeks later with no further communication from Sun made I called and spoke with Amber and told her how upset I was about being ignored or at least not being updated on my status. I wrote a poor yelp review and thereafter received frequent communications and finally early January 2025 my application to operate and Solar Billing Plan was approved by SCE. All good now, but with too much effort.
Extremely happy with all aspects of this project! The customer service is amazing! Everything from beginning to end was explained to me. There was no hidden information. The materials used look amazing! Thank you!
Michael A.Great service! From beginning to the end they followed up to make sure we were satisfied
Diana B.Sunmade employees were quick and efficient. I called to have solar panels put in and didn't understand the ins and outs of how they worked. Staff there explained everything in detail. They suggested how many panels I needed and it has reduces my energy cost drastically. The panels are worth every penny paid!
Excited to see the work they do on my house. But other than that, I'm extremely grateful for the Project manager Raymond Becerra.
To give a little backstory, my solar company caused leaks in my room in 2022, Ive been battling with my solar company for almost 2 years now to come out and get them to fix the damages to my roof. They constantly give me the runaround and finally got to the point they said they'll look for a roofing company to get a quote (which they never did, I had to get a company myself). Well i found this company and this Project manager, told him everything that's going on and the issues we've had with our roof of it leaking, the solar system being turned off the past 2 years which have been making us pay extremely high Pg&e bills along with true up bills and how they've been giving the runaround.
When I tell you this man has been emailing, calling and any other type of contact you can give, to my solar company on follow ups for the quote, continuously expressing his concerns for me and my family about my roof leak and it causing health concerns due to mold and how this issue needs to be addressed ASAP; this man is amazing. Now we're on the verge of scheduling the work finally and I'm extremely grateful for his hard work, dedication, advice and concerns for me and my family's well being. AND HE HASNT EVEN DONE THE ROOF WORK YET.
I'm beyond grateful, and extremely excited and eager to see his work. If his roof work is as good as he is as a person, I know my house and my family are in good hands.
Thank You Raymond for everything!
With some trepidation, I took the leap and ""went solar."" After comparisons and study, I finally decided to try the company, SunMade. My house is over 100 years old with a unique roof, and huge shade trees along with multiple ground and garden issues. After discussing many roof options, Oz, the owner, and I decided together on a ground mount. From day one to the finish date, SunMade listened and answered my questions and concerns and made possible accommodations. Once the final process and installation was determined, SunMade's excellent crew arrived and worked with dispatch and knowledge. I totally commend their skill, and workmanship precision. From their office, Oz, Amanda, and Tara have responded to my every call and text with knowledge, guidance and solutions. My electricity savings is proving to be gigantic! Simply, if you are deciding on going Solar...you can quit looking and go with SunMade.
I want to preface this review by saying I did not actually get a backup battery from the company. I had a phone consultation with Matt. He was helpful and actually talked me out of getting a back up battery. I currently do not have a true up and in the past 3.7 years, I have only had one bill for 14.77. My purpose for a backup battery was for power outages solely. Matt quoted me a price of 27k and that was after a 30% federal rebate which they sell to another company to get the price down. I've did my research and was able to find my original company which installed my solar to do the job for 17k. 10 k is a huge savings for the job so I have decided to use them instead!
We got quotes from four solar installers. SunMade beat them all. More importantly, no one could match SunMade's financing package.
The installation was quick and clean. They even painted the conduits to match the house! Communication was always excellent and they cheerfully accommodated our needs and requests. We highly recommend SunMade!
