I was overall very happy with SunLux's service and installation of my solar system. Great customer support throughout the process. Got an initial estimate very quickly. The on-site audit took nearly 2 weeks to occur, seems like they should hire more of them. After the on-site audit, received the layout on my roof. Because I have a TV dish, I asked them to change it so there was access to it. Two iterations iteration (couple day turnaround each time, seemed kind of slow to me) captured my desires. After that the installation (one day) and inspection happened the next week. Great to see my meter going backwards!
Would highly recommend SunLux for solar installation. They also have a great warranty with guaranteed power for 25 years.

Our solar system from SunLux went live recently. From our initial sales consultation to the completed install was just a little more than 6 weeks, which is excellent. It could have been a week earlier if our family had not been out of town. SunLux was competitive with their quotes, and while the final $/Watt was not the absolute lowest of all the bids we received, we signed with SunLux because we wanted to support a local company that has done positive work in the community.

The install crew was professional, pleasant and worked efficiently. Props especially to Anthony who made several trips after the main PV panel install to finish the install and replace broken roof tiles.

We had one primary issue of concern during the install. I noticed that the install team had brought a smaller inverter than what was written in our agreement. No mention of this change had been communicated to us. This necessitated several calls to the company, but in the end Guillermo (one of the company owners) agreed to switch us back to the inverter that was listed in our signed contract. I do not believe this was an attempted cost saving move on the part of the company; I noted that the inverter that the install team had originally brought came with a Revenue Grade Meter, and actually retails for a higher price than the inverter we wanted. For most homes, the smaller inverter would have been fine and is within the recommended range for our size PV array, but our roof has almost no shading issues and a nearly ideal orientation for solar, and the smaller inverter would have artificially limited our overall production by a small but measureable percentage.

With the higher capacity inverter installed, our first full days of logged production were great, and the completed system performed exceptionally well. While we are very pleased with the final result, we were disappointed about the unexpected inverter switch and that the company did not provide any notice about the change; we had to discover the change ourselves. We did appreciate that Guillermo consistently maintained an attitude of, ""We will make sure that we make things right,"" and in the end, the results did meet our expectations. For that, we thank the staff of SunLux!

Truly, truly, truly a person of their word. This is an older house on a hill; requiring a new main electrical panel, coordination with Edison because our old service line from Edison had been damaged in an earthquake plus TWO permits with the City.
Many salesmen from Solar City, SUNrun and Horizon wasted 6-8 months of my time and could not put it together. SUNLUX promised they do everything IN-HOUSE so they could relocate and install the new main electrical panel, coordinate with Edison as Edison relocated the new underground service and complete City permits to MY total satisfaction ----AND THEY DID. Oh yes--- they also installed a fantastic 9.012 kW system just the way I wanted it. The arrows on Edison's electrical meter are now pointing to the left (back to Edison) --- Very Cool and I don't have to worry about the IRS this year also Very Cool.
Truly, truly, truly a person of their word. Thanks to you ALL at SUNLUX.

I really liked the idea of solar but wasn't very sure. I heard about SunLux and gave them a call. They came out and met with me and went over everything I had questions about gave me all the different options and what would be best for me and my house. Everything was super easy and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was done perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better service. The solar looks awesome and works awesome I couldn't be happier.

Sunlux did a great job with the info leading up to the contract and install, and got everything handled, even some roof repairs to get it ready for the job. They tidied everything up, painted, and cleaned up-all good. The only part that took a little time was the monitoring equipment setup, but that just seemed to be a mixup with one of the office staff, who went on vacation and didn't get me scheduled. Pretty painless-now to enjoy the freedom from Edison's ripoff monopoly!

My husband and I were in negotiations with a couple solar energy companies but Sunlux was the only one that was genuinely looking out for our best interest. I had solar panels installed by sunlux, it's working fine. my only problem is with Mike Valencia, he promised me I would get a $500 rebate once I sign up with him, when i did sign up, i reminded him again he said after the city gives the permit to operate then id get my money, it's been 2 months. i emailed and texted him twice, i even called the office but they said it's not up to them but rather the salesman who was involved in the whole installation process. i think it's just a little iffy, i think he was just trying to persuade me with the $500 rebate which he never pushed through. so disappointed.


i would have let this go but i feel like i need to say something in response to Joe's comment below. when i signed up with sunlux, i already had 3 other companies do a roof audit (semper solaris, pell solar, and solar city) all of whom didnt mention any roof issues. when i was signing up, mike was saying things like ""yeah your roof still looks great, it looks like it still has about 15yrs left"". after signing up, i was ""conveniently"" notified by sunlux that i had issues on my roof and that i have to pay $1200, i told them about my doubts because 3 other companies already came and do a site audit, but mike said they want to keep my business so they will pay for the roof which was fine with me (no mention about not getting the $500 rebate in return to fixing the roof). fast forward about 1 month after fixing the roof, i texted mike about the rebate, he said once after the city approves and gives the permit to operate (by this time he could have told me that the $500 was not gonna be refunded but he didnt), fast forward about 2 months after fixing the roof, i called the office and thats when they said its not up to me but up to the salesman who closed the deal. i texted him and i got ignored, they only tried to attempt contact after my initial yelp review.

Having worked directly and indirectly with many contractors and Solar companies across the Inland Empire, I found Sunlux to be the absolute BEST in the business. After working in the industry for more than 5 years I finally decided to pull the trigger and have solar installed. Without question my go-to company was SunLux. Solid team, straight up, Honest, transparent, high integrity, and the best financing options available. My solar got installed this week and about 4 weeks after signing up. The install team knocked out 22 panels in about 4 hours and left my house cleaner than when they arrived. Seriously.. they swept my entire driveway. Also something to note, they even went the extra step to paint and color match the conduit to my house. Couldn't be happier with every step. Looking forward to NOT paying Edison this summer!!
