These guys are a class act. Very easy going and no high pressure BS. The installation looks great. They especially did a good job hiding the conduit which they ran through my attic as well as color matched any of the exterior tubing.

I looked at national and regional companies when deciding on solar energy. I found the overall value proposition was greater with Sunline vs the competition. My only area for suggested improvement was cleanup but this was minor and they fixed whatever I asked. It did not impact my final rating of 5 stars.

Sunline Energy was our pick because they offered a quality product at an amazing price. What more could you possibly want? Hayden at Sunline Energy was very helpful and responsive, so their customer service has been A+. The installation process was easy and fast. Before I rated the company obviously I wanted to get my first SDGE bill. Our first bill was $30 down from $200+ for this time of year. A $30 bill was what we anticipated. I wish all contractors were as easy to work with as Sunline Energy has been. They came out when they said they would come, gave us a well prepared, clear plan and estimate, did not pressure me to make a decision, and then came out and did the job well and on time.

I honestly did not price shop to compare Sunline's price with other companies. I had an idea about what a system would cost, so after hearing the initial presentation and getting the estimate from Hayden, I just checked the facts on the components and was reassured that these guys were being upfront about everything. Every person from Sunline who has been at our home has been incredibly nice, respectful of our property and investment, and willing to knowledgeably answer questions.

From the initial knock on the door to being inspected and up and running, the whole process took less than a month.

These are nice guys with good products and service. We're very satisfied with our decision to work with this company.

I got interested in Solar because we were going to install A/C for the Summer and we wanted to keep costs down. There are alot of solar contractors out there and I met with a couple of different companies before meeting with Hayden at Sunline energy. Hayden was great, it's a special touch to have one of the owners actually walking you thru the whole process, doing the math and explaining what type of system would make sense for what we're trying to do. Long story short, Hayden and Sunline Energy made this whole process simple. they always answered my calls quickly and were never annoyed with all the questions I had. I love my system it's gonna make more than enough to handle my A/C needs during the summer and the costs of the whole system is hands down the lowest of all the competitors. Top of the line Panels and Meter, fast and professional installation and just like that I'm off the Grid! I Highly recommend them if you want to get the best price and have everything made simple.

I shopped around for solar for about 6 months. Some solar companies tried to sell me panels for double the price that Sunline Energy sold me panels for. Sunline Energy won my confidence when Matt and Hayden showed up to my home and gave their presentation! Matt and Hayden were both very knowledgeable about solar energy and had the best price. These guys are awesome!! They finished in record time and my solar set up looks great!!! Best prices in San Diego, with NO B.S inflation/mark up gimmicks! I was interested in solar for my house because I saw a mailer about 0 down solar installations. I contacted that company (not Sunline) via their website. While waiting for a response, I checked Yelp for some local solar installers. I found Sunline on Yelp and contacted them based on their solid reviews. Within a day, Matt and Hayden from SunLine were at my place providing a quote for a solar system. They were friendly and took their time to answer my questions.

Based on my electric bill, they sized an 8 panel, 2kW system for my home. Half of my roof conveniently faces the south perfectly, making the install very convenient. I had a few minor issues with the initial conduit route, but Sunline was quick to make it right.

Within 30 days, Sunline had my system installed, permitted, and operational with SDGE. The system works great and I am able to monitor it in real time with the Enlighten system from Enphase. Sunline provided a 10-year warranty on the install. The panels and Enphase inverters came with a 25-year warranty.

Overall, we're very satisfied and I recommend Sunline to anyone interested in solar.

By the way, I finally heard back from the company that sent the mailer 3-4 days after Sunline had already quoted the job. The lease scenario would have cost more and the purchase option cost much more than Sunline's price. Just more proof that Sunline was a great way to go.

Sunline Energy just completed an install on my home in Scripps Ranch, and I have been in production for about four days, which was slightly less than eight weeks after the initial proposal. Hayden and Matt were really professional and helpful throughout the process, answering questions quickly via email and phone. The installation crew was safe, efficient and polite and left a neat workplace. Everybody I encountered from Sunline was extremely personable and clearly wanted to make sure I was informed about the state of the installation.

We did both a PV installation and a replacement of the existing pool heating panels, as well as an upgrade of the pool pump to a more energy efficient model. Our roof was a somewhat complicated installation but they got 20 PV panels up and wired in a total of two days. The total price of the upgrade was below other bids for just a PV system.

We had a choice of panels, but Hayden suggested panels that were both attractive and cost effective. As a techie I'm impressed with the Solarbridge monitoring system which precisely indicates per panel status, and my 5.1kw rated system has generated 33kWh/day since SDGE signed off. I am quite happy with the system and would recommend Sunline Energy. They may be smaller than the competition but they seem to have a great team, and can execute well.

My neighbor Carolyn got solar installed on her home and her power bill went to basically zero. I had already gotten 2 quotes but really wanted to just buy the system outright so I decided to get a quote with who she had worked with.
Long story short is that she had gotten 5 different quotes and this company was the best deal but also the easiest to deal with.
So I met Matt from Sunline on February 1, 2013 at our neighbor's house. Exactly 2 months later, we have 22 solar panels fully operational on our home and several thousand less than the other 2 bids that I had received.
Now I can check online and see that we are producing around 30 kWh per day which will probably end up around 850-900 kWh per month. That means my electrical bill basically goes to zero and this system pays for itself in about 5 years (even less if SDG&E continues to raise their rates).
So, I'm getting a 20% ROI for the first 5 years, and then I get free power for another 20 years. This is actually a great investment!
And I'm going to get a Tesla electric car as well which will probably be 100% powered from our solar system too.
There is nothing quite as rewarding as powering your home from the sun.
These guys from Sunline were fantastic to deal with and other than 1 installer ""using"" our bathroom (which Matt was very apologetic about and offered to buy us a new toilet seat) I have nothing but great things to say.

By the way, our other neighbor is almost done with his installation now so we actually have 3 houses at the end of a cul-de-sac in Scripps Ranch that all got solar from these guys.
