Since Hurricane Zeta passed on the night of October 28, 2020 some of my days have been squandered with roof related contractor researching and interviewing. This has been proven to be very taxing emotionally, financially, and physically. My Godsent partnership with Sunlight Contractors, LLC is a result of my personal frustration with the unreturned phone calls, missed appointments, improper inspections, and inflated estimates I experienced with over 20 other roofing contractors. After this hurricane, tarps were placed by someone else, but more were needed due to the continuous rains and high winds. Mr. Ira's crew quickly provided new ones and properly nailed down the existing ones. Because I presently reside in North Texas and own property in Louisiana transacting business during this Covid-19 pandemic has been mostly virtual and proven to be adventurous.
Authorizing Sunlight Contractors, LLC with this job assignment has me fully persuaded that there are still companies out here that want their clients to be proud of their investment (home). I was able to select the shingles that I wanted and not pressured into selecting only what was currently in stock. After their meticulous inspection of my property, I was provided a contract that gives the job description so in depth that it lists how many boxes of nails that are needed. My every interaction with Sunlight Contractors, LLC specifically Ms. Jessica and Mr. Ira has been enlightening, educational, impressive, reassuring and downright outstanding!!!! Mr. Ira and Ms. Jessica have repeatedly quelled my fears with their superior, noteworthy dedication to deliver a 5 star customer satisfaction experience from the beginning to the end. They are very patient, detail-oriented and have answered my every question with a phone call if necessary rather than a text or email.
If you're at the beginning of the process of hiring a roofing contractor, don't do what I did and waste time and money by ""entertaining"" inexperienced contractors that aren't qualified to inspect your property let alone assist you with the insurance claim submission process. With this company I feel like I have become a member of an ""elite group"" of people because I'm one of their clients. Come on and join me and hire SUNLIGHT CONTRACTORS, LLC. This is one choice in life you won't regret making!

Sunlight Contractors repaired a poor spray foam job on my ceiling yesterday. We called them for a consultation, and they did an thorough evaluation and assessment of our problem. They readily identified the spray foam job done when we remodeled our home 2 years ago was not up to code (not thick enough), and there were several holes. They also identified that we were missing a fresh air intake and since we have gas heat this could have caused us to suffer from carbon monoxide poisoning. They gave us a fair quote within 24 hours. We were able to schedule with them within a few week time frame. They communicated with us well throughout the whole process. The contractors arrived on time and worked hard. One contractor showed my husband the results when finished. He was very pleased, and noticed how much thicker the spray foam was and the holes are now covered. We would highly recommend them for you to use.

I completed the quote form on the website and got a call back right away, but the lady on the phone (who was otherwise pleasant and knowledgable) told me she didn't know where Gentilly was because she lives in Destrehan; she assumed that Gentilly was on the West Bank. This is important because she was trying to schedule back-to-back appointments based on ZIP codes.
I scheduled an estimate between 9 and 11 a.m. Friday. At 10:30 I texted a number that had texted me Thursday evening to confirm Friday and the response was ""they will be there at 11."" Unfortunately, ""at 11"" is not a window of time between 9 and 11, and I could not be here. Then the response was that they would have someone call me ASAP to reschedule, but no one has called. I'm super disappointed because the other reviews are so glowing and I can't even get them to come out.

There is no doubt about it, Ira has raised the bar on contractors. His responsiveness is second to none and he will stop at nothing to make sure you are satisfied. He takes care of his guys and you can tell they are loyal to him.
They had to work in an attic that even my home inspector would not go in to. Scary is what I am saying. There were no visible walking boards and it had been covered in several different layers and types of insulation which required them to work extremely hard in a hot attic. I had several gaps in the outer boards causing mosquitos and wasps to get into the attic and into the house. He listened to every single issue I had and made sure he addressed those issues with his crew. There is absolutely no miscommunication with him and his team; they are in lock step.
What does all this mean? It means you as the customer can rest assured Ira is going to treat your house like it was his house or even better. He is the type of person that can recommend top notch contractors in other fields for you so a great person to know. And get this. I am writing a review after only having observed his work for a half day and they have not even completed the project yet. That is how confident I am and how immediately impressed I am with him.
If you are in need of an attic renovation then look no further than Sunlight Contractors led by Ira Bosch. Believe me it will be worth it to have a house with exceptional climate control, after all, your home is your castle and being comfortable is everything.

I did a lot of research before I hired Sunlight Contractors to install spray foam insulation under my raised basement house. I had read all the advice and finally found an LSU Ag study on insulation options for raised homes in South Louisiana which recommended closed cell insulation.
Ira, at Sunlight, was very accommodating with my schedule and Clayton provided an onsite quote. Everyone that I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the process and the benefits of the product and able to answer all my questions about moisture, historic homes, and pests.
I was very impressed with the demo team who came out the weekend before the installation to remove the pink batting insulation from the floor joists including the wire mesh that was holding it in. It was a big job and a lot of effort and they did a very thorough job and cleaned everything up afterwards and hauled it off (did use my trash bins at all). My husband and I went downstairs to clean up the tiny pieces of insulation so our puppies wouldn't eat it and there was nothing to clean up!
The insulation process was equally simple and there was no mess afterwards. They expertly prepared my home to avoid overspray and they cleaned up the areas where the foam had expanded into cracks that it should not be.
I can already tell a difference after a quick cold snap we had last week. My heater does not run and run and run, my floors are warmer to my bare feet, and my old house is not as drafty as it used to be. And, as an unexpected plus: my old, historic floors feel firm and are no longer creaky when we walk. Also the floor boards that were loose before are now super stable.
I'm so excited at the durability of the product, it was totally worth the expense. I can't wait to get my attic done.

They did both our attic and subfloor insulation (7000 sqft) and made quite a difference with temp and noise cancellation. AC hardly runs anymore because the house keeps cool on its own. Also, we live next to a very busy street so its great to finally have a quiet, comfortable home. Staff/crew was very professional, cleaned up well, and most importantly, took the time to address all our concerns throughout the whole process. We've had a fair share of poorly executed work from other previous projects in our home but our experience with Sunlight Contractors was refreshingly positive. Would highly recommend!

I googled the company and contacted them one night and they came out the very next day to give me information and an estimate on my home. I also contacted other companies to do the same and I didn't get a response from others until about a week later. The company has shown great professionalism throughout the whole experience. The price was very competitive compared to other companies. The salesman wasn't pushy at all and he was very informative, he even encouraged me to get other quotes from companies. I chose Sunlight Contractors over others because of their knowledge of their product and field. Cleair was very knowledgeable of the company's field and products and he even showed me where other companies were going wrong with their quotes. Corey and his crew did a great job and they took great care of my property. I would highly recommend this company to family and friends!
