After our home was destroyed in 2021 to Hurricane Ida and having to completely rebuild, I dealt with many sub-contractors during that process. Fast forward to 2023, we experienced one of the hottest summers ever in south Louisiana. My two brand new AC units simply couldn't compete with the heat and lack of airflow in my attic. I decided to have our attic spray foamed but, with the industry being unlicensed in the state of Louisiana, I came across countless companies that simply didn't have the credentials to back them up. Until a friend suggested a larger company, Sunlight Contractors. Well, they may be a big company but they sure don't make you feel like it. The owner, Mr. Ira, called me back personally and gave me a very detailed run-down of the process and how it would all work. His communication was thorough, clear, and accurate. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did so exactly when they said they were going to do it. Even in 100+ degree heat, they came in and removed all of my old insulation, bagged it up and hauled it away, sprayed my attic and added a level of comfort for my family that we had yet to experience since living in our home for the last 9 years. His crews were professional, clean, and I barely knew they were even there. My electric bill, previously $600 a month, was cut in half and I'll pay for my foam investment in a couple of years.
Of all the contractors we used during our rebuild, there wasn't one in the same sphere as Mr. Ida and his team. If you're considering foam and are unsure, give them a call. I can guarantee that you won't regret that decision.

Sunlight Contractors is amazing! I had some concerns that I was developing a mold issue in my attic. Ira was quick to respond to my call and Clayton came out the same day to assess and provide a quote. Clayton was incredibly honest and kind. Turns out not mold! While doing his assessment Clayton helped educate me on potential insulation issues that I have. He then took measurements and will be providing a quote for new insulation if I want to pursue that service. The whole visit took about 10 minutes. I am greatly appreciative of the company's quick response and honesty. Highly recommend!

I am very pleased with sunlight contractors on New Orleans La. On Poydras street site. They were on time with everything, it was so much team work with the workers, and I do thank you Mr. Ira Bosh for accepting and doing such a great job in my home. I recommend this group to anyone.

Day 1- George and a crew of 8+ people showed up to attack the attic. Within 2 hours 30 years of junk and old mold insulation was gone. They set up a plastic path through the house that saved the floors and walls from dirt or damage. The crew was very helpful in letting me set aside things of value while they cleared the attic.
Concurrently, filtered ventilation fans have been running the whole time to keep dust at a minimum. There is also a young lady going room to room and treating all surfaces for mold.
Once the attic is cleaned it will be sprayed for mold as will the AC system. A dehumidifier and UV system will be installed and then to attic sealed with open cell spray foam. The house will be tested for 'tightness' before and after foam application.
So far, Ira and his crew have been very responsive and easy to work with. This job should take a total of two days and I will update accordingly.

Update - dehumidifier installed and UV system in operation. crew is extremely professional and always clean up after themselves. The dehumidifier uncovered a problem pipe and this was dealt with by Ira's crew promptly. Plumber was out within the hour, problem identified, repaired and drywall repair started. I am very impressed with this team.

Last day - Insulation team arrived at 0800 and set up equipment. They performed a pressure test on house measuring air coming into house via attic and other gaps. Total time to spray was about 4 hours. This is impressive given all the tight spaces that had to be reached. They ventilated the house to help remove odors and performed another leak test. Sunlight contractors sent a cleanup crew that spent 4 hours scraping up residual foam on the deck of attic. Really above and beyond! My parents were back in the house by 1600 with no odor to speak of. In a few days Ira will have someone come out and do an infrared survey looking for problem spots.
I highly recommend Sunlight Contractors for all your insulation and mold removal needs. Ira and his team do great work and are excellent at communicating what is needed and the steps to make it happen.

Beware of THIS Spray Foam Contractor!!! Been dealing with Sunlight Contractors for months on a job that was supposed to be completed weeks ago. During this time we've encounter various issues ranging from Ira's dog pooping inside my warehouse (subsequently teepee'd with cardboard and left for someone else to clean up), to trash being swept off of the roof onto our vehicles and into the parking lot. Oh, and the best issue yet - no containment device was used while spraying silicon sealant on the roof, leading to overspray on not just my employees vehicles, but the surrounding business as well. Now, Ira is pushing back on paying for our vehicles to be fixed correctly, and trying to get everyone to use ""his guy"". Shoot, I almost forgot, he ran into a coworkers vehicle in the parking lot with his truck.

I have used many contractors and would have to say that Sunlight is one of the best I have worked with. They were very helpful in explaining the needed repairs to my fathers home to make it safe for him and more valued in the future. They discovered significant damage under the fiberglass insulation we were having replaced with spray foam They used live video to show me the problem and what needed to be done. Once we gave the ok they completed the work in the same weekend coming on Sunday to make sure it was completed as scheduled by Monday as promised. It was a pleasure working with Ira and his team.

I cannot thank Sunlight Contractors enough. After dealing with several fraudulent contractors and insurance companies, it was a breath of fresh air to find a company that genuinely cares about people and does impeccable work to match. Ira and George came out on a weekend to look at our roofing issue and was very informative on what needed to be done. They were able to beautifully fix our roofing issue which caused interior and exterior rot. There pricing was very reasonable and there work is unmatched. I'm glad I found this company & I will be using them in the future for more projects.

First off, Sunlight Contractors did an amazing job on my closed cell spray foam insulation install! They were a pleasure to work with, the guys that came out were very professional and let me know what all was going to be involved with the process. The communication was also top notch between the initial estimate, the install, and the follow up! I could tell that they care about their customers and stand behind the work that they do.

After getting the closed cell spray foam insulation installed under my home, I can definitely tell a difference between it and the old pink insulation with netting. The house temperature doesn't fluctuate as much and the draft that was there is gone. The sound of walking on the wood floor also was dampened from the foam being installed which is a nice little bonus! I also have noticed that my AC doesn't have to turn on as frequently which is really awesome. Overall, I would highly recommend this team and I would say without a doubt if you are looking into getting spray foam for your home/business to check them out!

The second floor of our 56 year old house was hot. The air conditioner would take forever to cool our 2nd floor bedroom so it was comfortable enough to sleep. We did some research and found many positive reviews of Sunlight Contractors. After contacting them, they scheduled a technician to come do an assessment. The technician was prompt, courteous and explained what he was there to do. After he acquired the information, I received an offer that was concise with each individual fee explained. We scheduled the removal and the foam insulation installation. When the removal team arrived, they went to work immediately. We came back home to an insulation-free attic. I called Ira with a few questions, one of which he said he needed to verify. He promptly called me back and not only reassured me but gave me a feeling of confidence that I had selected the right company. The next morning, we were met by the install team and left them to complete the installation of the foam insulation. They completed it in the time they said they would and we immediately saw a quick drop in the temperature in our house and most notably on the second floor. It has been close to 12 hours and the second floor temperature has been steadily decreasing. This company has helped not only keep our home cooler, but we will see lower power bills. Overall a positive experience!
