Worst customer service ever. For the second time in less than 5 years my system is generating NO ELECTRICITY at all, and I can't get anyone to return my calls or emails. The first time the system failed it took almost 4 months to get a service rep to come out to figure out what was wrong. This time they're just ignoring me altogether. CHOOSE LITERALLY ANY OTHER COMPANY OVER THIS ONE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL.

Recently I converted my house to solar. I think it may have been one of the better decisions I've made regarding the house. I got in touch with Kurt Newman. He is the rep for Sunergy. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND him to anybody else. He makes the process so easy and seamless. There are multiple options to own (buy outright, lease, etc) that Kurt will be able to walk you through.

Best things about solar so far:

1) Process was easy. The designers have been able to place it on the roof where I don't even see the panels.
2) Fair price. I took multiple quotes from companies and Kurt Newman was able to provide the best price matched with the best service.
3) I used to work with Kurt about 10 years ago. He is trustworthy and follows up on requests. Great guy to work with.
4) I would highly recommend the monitoring. You get an app that shows the power you are producing.
5) The feeling when you get your first power bill. Check out the pic. Really cool to see that!

Feel free to message me if you have any questions. If you decide to go solar, make sure to call Kurt at a minimum. His cell is 661-993-8535.

Don't get fooled by all the 5 stars reviews like me. Sunergy pay or used to pay $50 for all the 5 stars reviews.

Here is my honest review. Everything from A-Z is was wrong and disappointing. At this point after my final inspection (failed) I'd give them 0 stars. I found Sunergy on Yelp and they were the first company on my list based on their reviews. Erik the sales rep was nice and explained everything, after that I started calling around for price shopping. I got quotes from many companies but Sunergy beat them all. I negotiated better Panasonic 330 Watts panels with the latest SolarEdge HD Wave converter backed with 25 years warranty on labor and equipment. Signed papers and after that everything went wrong.
- I had two large vents on my roof which needed to be changed out for flat ones. Originally I was quoted couple hundred bucks but end up paying $400. I just went with it knowing that I still have a good deal...
- the plan submitted to the city was wrong. Electric switches were on the other side of the house also show the cheaper Hanwha panels were showing on the plan. (They eventually changed it)
- they wanted to install the panels before the HOA approval. My HOA
would make me take off everything without their approval. Erik fixed this issue however pushed back the installation by a week...
- the day of the installation. The installation crew confirmed that the pan is wrong and they have to rearrange the panels on the back of the house also I went out to check on the Solar Panels right before the installation and guess what they were not the Panasonic 330s they were about to install the much cheaper Hanwha panels. Apparently the installation crew had no idea about the whole situation and they almost put up the wrong panels. That was the point when I started to be furious.
I called Erik, he apologized for everything he said his boss going to call me on the next day. I ended up talking to his boss and he gave me $200 off of the final price he also ensured me that nothing else will go wrong beyond this point. Another 5 days delay because they have to buy the Panasonic Panels.
- the inspection happened two weeks after the installation instead of couple of days. The inspector supposed paint the conductors to match the house color(required by the HOA). He did a horrible job like he gave absolutely 0 effort. Paint all over the converter, part of the conductor is not painted he also forget to screw back the long screws on the panel... also we didn't pass the inspection due to a equipment recall....
I called Erik again he apologized and he said he's going to send someone else tomorrow to fix the other guy's paint job..
Here I'm, I really don't wanted to leave any reviews for them but at this point everybody deserves to know who are they dealing with. You have to pretty much micromanage the whole process... I'm still not done with the paint job fix, the inspection and the switch over by Edison. Probably I have to hire a third party company as well for a re-inspection...

Well. You got what you pay for...

Update. 05/17/18.
The fist technician came out last week to fix the recall 05/08/18
Today another technician came out to fix it again....
I supposed to have another inspection sometimes next week and
after that hopefully a week or two I can have switched by Edison.
(So that is another 3-4 weeks delay.)I'm already paying for the finance company for something I can't even use. Absolute ridiculous....
Oh, and the paint situation never been fixed my converter and antenna still
the same.

I purchased solar over 4 years again from another company who is no longer in business. My solar went out and we were referred to Kurt Newman from neighbors. It was very hard to find a solar company to help troubleshoot a system that they did not install. Kurt took the time to try to troubleshoot my problem and see how he could help. He then came by to check it out and was able to get it back on and working.
It is always great to find someone who takes pride in their job and tries to give a customer what they need instead of just trying to make a sale and move on. I was sadly a sucker for another out of business solar company ( GCI Solar ). I wish I had met Kurt Newman 4+ years ago and purchased my system from him.
There are a lot of solar companies out there. If you are like me and need guidance on what will work best for you house. Call Kurt!!

Sunergy was great! Kurt was awesome and walked us through the entire process start to finish. He laid out our options for purchasing vs. leasing and found the right fit for us. The crew showed up on time and spend the entire day installing the panels. They look great and I can't wait to start saving on our electricity costs!

Full disclosure to potential consumers: Sunergy provides a $50 gift card to clients who give them a 5-star Yelp review. Not that this makes my or any other reviews invalid, but just so you as a consumer have all of the information.
MY REVIEW: I was very happy to come across Sunergy, as I had been turned down by other solar companies that said our residence/energy consumption was too small to have solar (i.e. the small size of the solar unit wouldn't be worth the cost of labor & installation). However, Erik was nice enough to call me back & explain that Sunergy would be willing to make an exception & get us set up to use solar. He was very informative, knowledgeable & patient with all of my questions & texting back & forth. In the end, we ended up purchasing both the solar panels & artificial turf through Sunergy. By bundling the two together, Sunergy was able to offer us a great deal & Erik did his best to help us get everything set up during the busy holiday season before the end of the year.
My only complaint would be that the installation and inspection appointments often got delayed or rescheduled because of the holidays, weather, or traffic (not necessarily anyone's fault). It was an annoyance & an inconvenience but, despite taking longer to install than we had expected, we are still happy with the products & final results. We would happily recommend Sunergy to anyone looking to install artificial turf or solar panels.

Erik from Sunergy walked in to my office and asked if I was interested in converting my house to solar it just happen that I had just received a quote from a competitor, so he quoted and save me about $4000.00 dollars and drop my interest rate from 5.9 to 2.9 and saved me even more. They did and awesome job on the installation it only took 3 days and everybody was very professional. I would highly recommend Erik and his team.

We are thrilled with our new solar panels! We never thought it made sense to invest in them, but after Erik explained net metering, the Sunergy program, and all the other advantages, we saw no reason not to do it. We're saving money on our electric bill, being environmentally friendly, and I think the panels look progressive and high-tech on the roof. Several neighbors have contracted Sunergy for installation too!

Erik and Sunergy were very helpful throughout the entire process - start to finish and even following up after completion. They also handled all the paperwork with Edison. I'm so happy we switched to solar!

I had my solar installed a few months ago and am now saving at least $200 a month. I spent absolutely nothing out of pocket. Sunenergy and my sales person, Kurt were not satisfied until i was 100% satisfied, which I am. I appreciate the professional job they did and the follow-up until everything was perfect. I would definitely do it again. Thanks guys.
