We put $1,000 down & signed a contract for a roof in Feb. 2018. Zak told us around May. That's fine. My husband called & Zak said, "" June"". That's fine. Husband called in June, Zak said, ""July"". That's fine. Husband called in July, Zak said, ""August"". Still fine. Husband called in August, spoke with Daniel, ""he said couple of weeks"". Not fine anymore. Husband called back, spoke with Danielle she said, ""couple of weeks"". Still
not fine. Nobody returns calls from Suncoast Roofing. September I called, spoke with Danielle, she said 2 weeks. I called back after 2 weeks she said 2 weeks, again. Still not fine. October I asked to speak to manager, Kevin, or have him call me. no response. I called back after 2 weeks, spoke to Nancy. Kevin came to phone & said Monday, Oct. 15th he will be over to do roof. Kevin never callled, it's Tue. Still waiting 8 months later. The staff doesn't communicate. No one ever calls back. I will call or email owner Rick on Wed. & see if this company will finally be responsible & follow through. We'll see. I'm disgusted with their unprofessional ways. Zero rating, but I must put 1 star to post...

After anxiously waiting for several weeks (through no fault of the company...procrastinating husband) we finally got Suncoast out to give us an estimate on 2 leaks and a slipped tile. We fully expected the rep to break out a ladder and go up on our roof to take a look...after all we did request someone to come out, look at our issues and provide an estimate. Sadly disappointed. While the rep was friendly and knowledgeable, there was no ""look-see"" of the roof, a ladder was not even touched. The estimate included the first hours rate, and a rate every hour thereafter. Was told that because the roof material is tile, all work is T&M. OK, I get that he might not have been able to provide an exact estimate until work began but a ball park and an overall assessment of my roof is what we were looking for...I could have been given the hourly rate over the phone when I called to schedule the appointment and not wasted anyone's time. Was told that after we booked the job, then someone would come out and do an assessment and give us a more detailed quote. Seems like mafioso tactics to me. Gonna look for a company that sends someone to do a REAL estimate the first time.

I would never recommend this company to do a roof for anyone. This is the most unorganized and unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. They all repeatedly lied to me and to my elderly parent for whom they were doing the job. This starts at the top with the owner Rick who guaranteed that the job would be finished before July 31st as my parents' home had been sold and it was not completed until August 9th forcing my father to make another house payment and make other repairs that would have been unnecessary had this be completed as promised. Kevin promised repeatedly that his crew would be on-site and they repeatedly were a no-show. Zach the salesperson told me that the chimney insert was rusted and fell apart when removed. I took a picture of the undamaged insert and Kevin told me that their guys had broken it when removing it. Their method of customer service is basically ignoring you until it is time to pay.

I don't know how my parents would have managed this process without my brothers and myself advocating for them. After failing an inspection but ultimately passing, I hope the roof never leaks for the new owners as I would hate for them to have to deal with this unprofessional, disorganized and rude bunch of people.

Thank you Suncoast Roofing! You stood by your word when there was an installation issue by an unscrupulous former employee. Rick was very attentive as were superintendents Kevin and Ralph. You had my best interest in mind to do the right thing and address my situation promptly and I thank you for that. The roofers, Wayne and Matt, who arrived the other day to do the work were friendly, professional and certainly took an interest in repairing my roof the correct way. There are not many businesses that care about the job after the fact, but this was a refreshing reminder of what good old-fashioned care is like. Thank you again and well done!

I'm posting this review for my mom. But I vouch for its authenticity

Sun Coast in New Smyrna Beach just finished my roof and I am very satisfied with the job they did. They actually started earlier than expected and were done in 2 days. Crew was hard working and did a great job. Did an EXCELLENT job of cleaning up after they were finished, used tarps to protect things before starting. I dealt with Kevin Sims and think he is a definite asset to this company. Returned my calls, answered my questions, always polite and professional. I have recommended them to others and my neighbor is planning on using them as well after seeing what a great job they did and how good my roof looks.

I was really worried about securing a reliable, professional and dependable roofer after my storm damage to my roof from Hurricane Irma. A friend said you need to talk to Rick Tauscher with Suncoast Roofing and he came right out. My friend had found Suncoast Roofing after he sustained severe damage from Hurricane Matthew. I hesitantly chose Suncoast based on the recommendation of my friend over a very well known company in town. I took a leap of faith, and it turned out to be the best choice for me. I can't express how relieved I was to have them help me with the replacement of my tile roof. It started from providing me with information to select the best tile for me, to always doing what they say they will do, to the crew that tore off and did the installation of my new roof. They were so awesome I insisted on cooking them lunch before they finished! They cleaned up daily, I've had no flat tires from lost nails, they were a pleasure to have here working, and they are hard workers.

My roof came out beautiful! I absolutely love it.
Rick Tauscher and his Suncoast Roofing team took the stress off of me about getting the job done and did what they said they would do! In this day in time, that is hard to find. I have rental homes and deal with contractors often, and this is one job I did NOT have to Babysit. I will be hiring them again for an upcoming roof replacement I need on a rental and for work at my parents home too.

Thank you Suncoast Roofing :)

This company is not trustworthy. They did not complete the contracted work before asking for their full payment. We would not have known if my husband had not gone on the roof to check and then continued to go up repeatedly over the next ten days to make sure they followed through. They did not initially repair the soffit as contracted. They installed vents backwards so they didn't vent properly. They lost gutter hangers and didn't replace them without my husband insisting. They left tar on new skylights, existing windows, soffit, siding. They finished the roof on a Friday night and left their junk trailer in the driveway with two flat tires until Monday. Their supervisors obviously did not supervise a very unprofessional crew and were surly and condescending when asked to complete the contracted work or fix their shoddy work.. When we asked for a new estimate after Hurricane Irma struck they refused unless we signed a power of attorney turning over our right to deal with the insurance company over to them. Shady. This agreement would have cost us an additional $8000+. I could go on, but this should give you the idea. If you hire them don't pay extra as they won't do the work unless you can get on the roof to make sure they do it.

AVOID BEWARE!!!!
Waited 6 months for new roof! Horrible employees from office to the field! Many harassing phone calls for payment in full & legal threats for an uncompleted job. Did not pass inspection! No roof vents installed per contract!!! County Inspector totally shocked! Took over a month to correct. For over 2 months the Yard is still full of nails & shingles after 3 half attempted cleanups. No show by manager who promised to come do the cleanup, for the 4th time, (per contract), now demanding payment in full before cleanup & turning me over to his Lawyer.

Enjoying mommy time while my toddler and infant were asleep and I hear banging, at first I think maybe it's the neighbors home (Since a lot of us have damage in the area due to Hurricane Matthew), I walk outside and there are two men on my roof laying a tarp to cover the holes in the roof. I asked them why they didn't let me know they were here. They responded ""we got a route[ addresses to do work on]"", and that was pretty much it.

I wish they would have called us or even rang the doorbell to let me know they were here and about to fix our roof. Called the office and the lady told me ""sorry, I'll tell Diane?"".

We were provided their service through Home Depot.
