This company not only put an incredible new roof on our cabin, but Lloyd detected a huge safety hazard and an issue our home inspector missed!! This is a long review, but you need to read it.

Lloyd replaced our cabin roof about 6 months ago - on a Gambrel. This means he basically re-did the roof and two complete sides of our house. He was professional and personable and very gracious when we asked, at the last minute, to also have him install additional insulation. Pricing was incredibly fair and his work is stellar. We had him extend the awning of our porch a bit and he was able to color match perfectly.

However, keep reading because I first met Lloyd about 6 months before that when I was in escrow on our cabin. He came out to give us a bid for a new roof and was the only person (including the home inspector and a fireplace expert) to detect that the chimney was actually not attached to the house and had movement - great info! We bought the cabin, had a chimney company come ""fix"" the chimney, and called Lloyd to replace our roof.

Well, the story just gets ""better"" (we did not think so at the time). Lloyd calls me and informed me that when they pulled back the flashing by the fireplace/chimney, it became apparent how the chimney had been fixed.... the other company had sprayed foam inside. It was touching the firebox which creates a dangerous and flammable situation. Thankfully, we had yet to light a fire!!! Although it was chance that Lloyd saw this, it only goes to further depict his thoroughness and integrity. He could have ignored it and kept on working. Instead we were able to get the situation fixed and he was very flexible with a few scheduling shifts to allow the new fireplace install to happen prior to finishing the roof.

Last, but not least, before Lloyd started, I talked to my neighbor who also has a gambrel. He said he just had his roof redone (it looked good!) and that I should ONLY use his contractor. Now this made me a bit uncomfortable because I already had a good gut feeling about Lloyd and my experience thus far and I didn't want someone to tell me there was another person I should go with. My neighbor ran inside and brought out Lloyd's ""Sturdy Roofing"" business card. We had a good laugh and my confidence in Lloyd was further boosted. I cannot say enough good things: if you need a new roof, you should only call Lloyd with Sturdy roofing.

Cheapest around, can't be beat in Big Bear. He also painted the pipes for me to make it look clean :)
