I called strictly roofs after getting estimates from two other roofing companies that were highly rated on yelp and Angie's list. All three estimates came in close to the same price, but marlon won me over with his honesty, attention to detail, regular and expedient communication and depth of knowledge. We needed our roof insulated from the exterior (we have an exposes beam ceiling with similar problems that occur in the cliff may homes in long beach). Marlon gave me several options and i couldn't be happier with the result. Warm in the winter and cool in the heat. I was extremely impressed with the work his team did and would call him again if I ever need any repairs to my roof in the future.

I'm a first time home owner with a house that came with an old wood roof and my insurance company threatened to drop me if I didn't replace it. I went through about 3 other roofers before I found Stricty Roofs online. I saw they had some really great reviews and I liked all the info they provided on their website, so I decided to give them an shot and submitted a request for a free quote. I'm so glad I did! Marlon and Maria were so friendly and accommodating. They quickly scheduled an appt to come to the house, and were like a breath of fresh air. Unlike all the other roofers that came by, Marlon was on time, and actually walked me through the whole process of the re-roof, went over all the materials they use and why they are important, what makes a roof last, took actual measurements and pictures of the roof, showed me all the problem areas on my existing roof and even sent me the pictures when he sent the contract. Due to a schedule change they were even able to start the following week. Since I was at work, I was sent daily updates along the way and only called when necessary. They took care of everything from the permit through to the final inspection. In 3 days the work was completed and the day after the roof passed inspection. They were so professional and efficient, I couldn't ask for a better experience and my roof looks beautiful.

The best customer service I've ever received, hands down. We had a few quotes from other roofing companies but Marlon's professionalism and knowledge won us over and the prices were competitive. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the Strictly Roofs from beginning to end. Marlon spent a good deal of time on the phone with us explaining the process even before we signed the contract. Every question was answered promptly, and we were provided with updates as they happened. We were out of town when they did the roof and he emailed pictures to us at the end of ever day showing progress! Our roof looks beautiful! We no longer have the ugly, dated 50's roof! Marlon made this all so easy! I had 3 different quotes on replacing my roof - Marlon's bid fell in the middle of the pricing but my gut told me he was the one to hire and I'm so glad I did. Marlon was there regularly, explained everything that was going to happen and his crew was great - on time and always respectful of the property. He also followed up regularly and thoroughly thru email with the contract, permits, etc. This could not have been a better experience.

We had needed to get our roof done since we purchased our home in '08 and when we decided we were going to put it on the market we knew we had to get that done first. We received 4 quotes total that ranged from $7k up to $17k which was a bit confusing. The quote we received from Marlon was at the lower end but not the cheapest, however we liked him from the start and had decided to work with him. They did a great job and in the amount of time we were quoted. Marlon was on site everyday and kept in constant contact with me about every detail. When they were done my yard and garage were cleaner than when they started. I would highly recommend them to anyone I meet who is looking for a new roof.

I would, in all honesty, rate this company 6 stars if I could. My husband and I have been examining our roof for a little over two years now and discussing the need for a new one. We finally decided now was the time and agreed on securing three estimates before moving forward with our plan. Marlon with Strictly Roofs was the first to visit with us and he undoubtedly set the bar. He was professional, knowledgeable and, and his selection of product was by far the best; I am so glad that we started with his company first as we gained invaluable knowledge from him which allowed us to pose more educated questions to the other roofers. As my husband said, ""After our meeting with Marlon, the other meetings were all downhill.""

Marlon even took pictures of our roof while he was examining it so that as we sat and talked, he could show us just how extensive the damage was; we were quite impressed and the pictures confirmed what we'd suspected, that we had to get a new roof installed.

After all three estimates had been received, on the surface, Marlon's appeared to be the costliest so we hesitantly and disappointingly started considering the other two options. As it turned out though, as we started asking questions, there were other costs already included in Marlon's estimate such as the city permit, that were not included in the other estimates. This afforded us an opportunity to reconsider his estimate and he also wanted to work with us as much as we wanted to work with him, so he even discounted his original pricing to meet our budget.

I cannot sing Marlon's praises enough. He is an all-around great guy and my husband and I felt comfortable with him from our very first meeting. He comes across as genuine and sincere and beyond that, he proved himself to be reliable and extremely communicative throughout the entire process. He followed through on all of his deliver-ables and far exceeded our expectations. Quite honestly, after our first meeting, we really thought he was a salesman for Strictly Roofs; that's how polished and impressionable he was. Well guess what? It is obviously his business or he's at least a major partner, and he showed up to work right along with all of the other guys. Three days is all it took for our roof to be completely installed, from tear-down to setup. Way to go!

If you're seriously seeking a roofing contractor, look no further as you'd be wasting your time. By the way, did I mention that we will be receiving a final report from him complete with pictures, warranty, etc.? Simply incredible!

I had the worst roof in the neighborhood. That is no longer the case thanks to Marlon at Strictly Roofs.

I saw Strictly Roofs was doing a roof in the neighborhood and thought I should get an estimate. Never did I think I would have a new roof in less than 2 weeks.

I called and requested an appointment. Marlon was able to meet me at my house on the same day. Marlon brought with him numerous samples for my wife and I to choose from. While I was reviewing the samples, Marlon went on the roof and took measurements. 20 minutes later, I had an oral estimate, and later that evening I had a written estimate emailed to me through Docusign.

I was able to get 2 additional estimates. Marlon's estimate was very close to the 2 additional estimates. I took Marlon's estimate and read it off to the other 2 companies in order to get the estimates as close as possible. The difference between Marlon's estimate and the other 2 estimates was that his estimate was for total cost including permits, replacement wood and new screens on the eaves. The other 2 estimates did not include permit fees, eave screen replacement, or budget for wood. My house was built in 1953 so I knew it was a pretty good chance that there would be a need for wood replacement. When I added up the potential additional unknown costs from the 2 other companies, I felt that Strictly Roofs was the best choice. Another difference between the estimates, was that Marlon is very knowledgeable when it comes to attic ventilation, while the 2 other companies made no mention of proper attic ventilation.

On Friday of the same week, I chose Strictly Roofs. The contract process is very simple. Marlon uses Docusign which makes it really easy to initial and submit. No faxing, mailing or dropping off the contract. On Monday, the roof replacement began. On Wednesday, the roof was completed.

Throughout the process, Marlon kept me updated on the roof replacement, sending me pictures through email and text while I was at work. The process was very smooth. Marlon's customer service is exceptional. Marlon even came over after I got home from work and helped me re-align my DIRECTV dish before I could get DIRECTV out. Upon completion, the job site was spotless. The estimated cost was the cost I paid with no additional fees. I am very happy I chose Strictly Roofs and would recommend to anyone considering a roof replacement.

Quick Overview: This review is for a roof installation in early April. This company gets 5 starts for communication, value, and overall being efficient and easy to work with.

My husband and I just bought a home in Long Beach and it needed a roof. We wanted to get it handled before we moved in and, as we just bought the home, we needed to be affordable.

We called two to three other roofers in our area and after waiting three days to hear back from them we decided to look for someone else. That's when we found Marlon and we are happy we did.

Marlon met with us right away, provided samples and a quote that evening. His team was able to start work a few days later. Throughout the process he explained what he was doing and why. He was also able to easily pull permits and have the work approved.

As we were not able to obtain other quotes, we asked friends and family if it was reasonable and it was. Woohoo! Also, we signed the agreement over Docusign which made the whole process quick and easy. For anyone who is in their last week of escrow and trying to pack, you know how valuable an amazing contractor can be.

PS - About five weeks later, only one returned call from those other roofers - but we already have our a great roof!

Strictly Roofs was very professional from start to finish. I called them to schedule an appointment, they should up on time. Marlon explained all the roofing options I had, and brought me different materials to choose from. I didn't know there were so many different options! They offered me a great price, so I decided to go with them. They started on my roof immediately, and were clean throughout the whole process.
