Our vintage home was in need of some major roof work. We must have called 20 places before we found Sean at Straight Line. This was the only guy that actually talked to my wife and I like humans. He came out and talked us through every aspect of what was needed and how it should and would be done. There were some unexpected damages found during the repair, but like true pro's, they handled it without a hiccup. The value that this company has added to our home is by far the best investment we have made! The comfort of knowing the job was done right is priceless! In and out in just a few days these guys are true professionals! They have now done work on a few of my family members houses as well, and every time they are consistent and easy to work with! Smooth transactions and great work!

I've had a bad experience with two companies before but I know I can always trust Straight Line when it comes to my home!

So sorry to have to write a negative review, but the experience I had with Straight Line was awful. I had terrible customer service when they did respond to my questions and never once was contacted after I initiated the process of getting an estimate for my roof repair. I made all the calls to this company and was met with indifference at every juncture. I know it was a busy time , but how long does it take to return a phone call? I finally gave up and contacted another company and am now getting the repair I need.

My wife and I needed to replace our old shake roof, get new attic insulation, fix dry rot and install new gutters/downspouts. We went through the bidding process with about 4 companies and decided to go with Straight Line due to the amount of care and detail our salesman, Rob explained. At the quote process, Straight Line seemed to provide the best service and most accurate detail of the work that needed to be completed.
Day 1 of tear down and clean up went great, the crew was very clean and tidy with our property and made sure to pick up all loose debris, tacks and nails as promised. On day 2, the team sheeted the entire roof with radiant barrier plywood (so we thought) and blew in insulation (almost everywhere). When the day was complete, I noticed the crew installed different sheeting in certain areas of the roof as quoted and did not hook up any of our bathroom vents to the roof. The crew also missed spots in the attic for insulation and the left nails and screws around our property and blew nails/screws into our pool when we ""cleaning up."" I noticed this and called Rob who made sure this would be fixed and addressed on their next visit. The crew had made some considerable mistakes but my wife and I were assured by the Straight Line team these issues would be fixed as promised.
On day 3, the crew came out to replace the regular plywood with radiant barrier plywood in the spots they failed to install. They also came to inspect the attic insulation, blow the spots they had missed and hook up the bathroom vents...At the end of this day these issues were fixed but we were still disappointed because the crew had not cleaned up their trash, nails and tacks as promised. Once again, we had to call our salesman and discuss lack of cleanliness and detail of work, that we were initially quoted.
On day 4, the crew came out to install the gutters and start laying the actual composite roof. The work was solid for day 4 and 5 . The crew advised they would need to come back to fix or replace a few of the gutters they could not get to mount properly. This was back on March 1st and thankfully after a few reminders, the crew just finished today, March 31st.
It was a long process to get everything completed the way we were quoted and expected, but the work is finally done. My wife and I really had to keep up with the crew to ensure the work we requested was actually completed. We are very happy with the final product of our roof, gutters and downspouts; but not sure if we would use Straight Line in the future for our projects. When spending over 30k on a big project, you expect the crew to be meticulous and detail oriented; the customers should not have to keep reminding the crew to follow through with their commitments on specific work orders.

They replaced roof on storage shed. did a great job. Fair price. Nice people to work with. Did everything they said they would do. Nice clean up after job completed. Works should be reminded to be a little less rough on the landscaping. They damaged a few plants. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

We have used Straight Line on two different houses (Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills) and love the work each time! They stand by their work and treat their customers great. I would recommend them over and over again !
