I was referred to storm proof roofing by a friend who highly recommended them. My roof tiles were becoming weather worn, and I had several leaks. I contacted storm proof roofing, and to my surprise, the owner (Kent) came out and did the estimate - very reassuring. Kent was very friendly and down to earth to deal with, and he was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. As the job progressed, I dealt with the office manager Mandy, who suggested several color options for roof tiles and their projected delivery dates. Also, the permit and construction process went smooth. In the end, I'm very happy with my roof, and feel like I made some new friends as well!

Mid-October - New re-roof permit denied from City. Why?

Neither telephone calls nor emails returned to me when I reached out for 3 weeks. Finally, in mid November stating that I am wanting a full refund as I lost faith in their company was my call answered. I asked Cathy in their office when she knew my permit was denied and she said they knew the day after (3 or 4 weeks earlier) but did not want to tell me and she was sorry she did not return calls for 3 weeks because they are busy. That is negligence and I am also thinking embezzlement at this point!

Guess what? I am busy too and I want to go with another company now, so just refund me in full and make it amicable. They said no.

I asked for a full refund and want to make it amicable for both parties.
No action from Storm Proof Roofing - - NO refund...so now I am taking action: Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint, called my credit card company and now will start a social media blitz until the full refund is authorized and verified by Kent, the owner.

Pass this on to your family and friends if they are thinking about a re-roof or a roof repair - - do NOT use Storm Proof Roofing.

4 months after contract signed and they have never been to my home once, they have not done one thing and they have not communicated the permit was denied because their paperwork was incomplete.

Just refund me already!

Kent and the team failed to properly detect the leak that was occurring on my back exterior roof. I was charge to seal the tin roof - the very roof that did not have a leak - and charged $850.00 for silicone paint that can be bought at Home Depot for $100.00. I have been trying to recover the $850.00 from Storm Proof for over a year due to 1) Storm Proof Roofing failing to provide effective service for a roof leak buy not identifying source of leak and attempting to seal the wrong roof, 2) services provided were on a roof that never had the leak, 3) work performed is messy and ruined the roofing integrity of existing roof, and 4) due to the negligence of Storm Proof Roofing, I had to spend $3,000.00 to repair the exterior patio roof because the leak continued for a year despite my several requests to have the entire roof tested for leaks. The leak was never fixed and 2 days after the ""work"" was done I contacting them to come back out and fix it but yet Kent refuses to issue a refund. They came out to my property a few times and kept claiming that the leak was being caused from the metal roof and at one point I was told the leak was from the satellite dish (it was removed but the leak remained). Ultimately, because the actual leak continued for a year, there was significant damage caused inside my home and the exterior patio tiles and roofing materials under it needed to be replaced. The repairs cost me over $3,000 because the materials had been rotted from the water leaking under the tiles for a year. This leak continued to occur because the Storm Proof Roofing team failed to identify the leak which was caused from a lack of flashing connecting the patio to the side of the house and metal roof. The work performed was unnecessary, ineffective and sloppy. The issue was never the metal roof and the negligence on behave of at least 5 Storm Proof employees caused me to have significant damage for a year which caused me to be I financial hardship to get the necessary repairs needed that should have been identified by Kent and his team instead of offering up excuses and just trying to apply paint to a roof that was never the issue.
The only positive experience was dealing with the assistants Kim and Sherry.
