S'top Roofing company came in and replaced the old shingle roof on my craftsman home. They were timely, respectful (especially of the neighbors), cleaned up well, and did a solid job. They found areas that were rotted and needed additional fixing and as I was there, was able to confirm that indeed it was the case. They didn't go overboard, and their prices were extremely reasonable. They were experts in their craft as they angled some areas on the roof so that the water would drain towards the downspouts vs staying in the middle. The owner (as well as his office) was super responsive and went the extra mile as he sent his HVAC folks to check on the house furnace that was thought to have been damaged by roof debris. It wasn't and they got the unit running in no time without any charge. I would highly recommend this company as they stay true to their word and do a fantastic job within the estimated time.

Had a new roof put on a rental home after 30+ years. Company did a great complete job includ. cleanup. Respectful to tenants. Highly rec.!

Every roof I have gotten from them has been perfect. Mr. Shin had excellent rates and an excellent product. They get it done quickly and leave no mess whatsoever. Thank you

I really hate to write reviews like this but I think it's important for others to know about our experience with S'top Roofing Company. We recently moved into a new home and first had a roof inspection with another company who concluded that, aside from one area that needed minor patching, our roof was in great shape and would not need to be replaced for many years. We then also had a roof inspection with S'top Roofing because we wanted to get a second quote on some work we would like done on the roof related to putting in a skylight. When the roofer from S'top arrived, he rang our doorbell and told my husband that, based on his view from the street (i.e., without even going up on our roof yet), our entire roof needed to be replaced. We were very skeptical given that (1) we already had a thorough inspection from another company who had absolutely no reason to lie to us that our roof was in good shape (given that they would make tens of thousands of dollars from us replacing our roof if the work was truly needed), and (2) because he hadn't even been up on our roof yet! After going up on our roof, he noted the minor patching that the other roofers noted as well as confirmed his initial assessment that a complete roof replacement was urgently needed. Since then, we've also had our neighbors, who are not roofers by any means but who are quite handy themselves, take a peek at our roof and they agreed with the first company that our roof is in excellent condition and we have ""many many years"" left on our roof. I really hope that there is another logical explanation for why we got this conflicting assessment from S'top, but unfortunately my best guess of what happened is that their representative gave us inaccurate information so that we would hire them to replace our roof. This is an especially distressing possibility given that the cost to replace a roof is upwards of $15,000 in our area. Needless to say, we will not be proceeding with roof work with S'top and advise others to be very careful when working with this company.

Our next door neighbors were having their roof done and we needed to do similar so asked them for a quote. They gave us a discount if they could continue straight from the neighbor's onto our roof. They didn't give us any notice as to when work would start, which would have been fine, if they had at least done some due diligence with prep work prior to beginning.
Throwing a garbage bag-like tarp over our airwell/patio was the extent of the below roof prep work that I witnessed. Needless to say a thin garbage bag wasn't going to stop the fall of large asphalt chunks of old roofing that came flying off the roof, marring the walls, denting the window trim, breaking a few plants, breaking all the bulbs on the party lights, denting my patio table, scratching chairs, and apparently knocking off the outdoor outlet cover as that's now missing too. They decided to remove the patio furniture and plants after the majority of the damage had been done. I would have gladly have removed it all had I had any notice and with covid and the number of workers swarming our back stairwell, I didn't want to get into the fray.
I imagine they didn't cover the hood vents either as I heard chunks of roofing falling into my hood shaft.
To his credit, Steve reimbursed me for the lights and attempted to clean/fix/repaint the areas that were marred. Unfortunately it made the problem areas more pronounced (and I had to repaint and repair certain areas once they left and then discovered that my patio table was also dented).
There is a garbage shoot in the front of the house from the roof to the truck? Isn't that specifically for dumping materials? They also threw roofing off the front of the house, as chunks of roofing were stuck in our tree and we had to ask them to dislodge them, since they didn't notice.
All of this could have been easily avoided if they had just properly cleared and secured the area.
To be honest if this is their regular modus operandi, I'm actually scared about the quality of the roofing job they did. Really sloppy workmanship. I would not recommend them.

I had some plumbing work done in January 2020 that compromised my lightwell. I had no idea until it rained last weekend and saw my new plumbing leaking from the lightwell into my garage. The plumber wanted nothing to do with it, so I started calling roofers. Roofers in SF are so busy that many don't even answer their phone, the answering machine just explains that they are booked through the summer. I'm so happy that I called S'top Roofing. They are also very busy, but they answer their phone and they took the time to come out and assess the situation. It was a small job for them, and a very big deal for me, so they managed to squeeze me in the next day to get my leak fixed. I was able to immediately test out their work because it poured all weekend and my lightwell is leak free and my garage is dry. Thank you so much to S'top for making everything so easy for me and fixing my leak ASAP.

I have a few properties and they all needed service/re roofing. So I wanted to start a professional relation with a roofing company and Stop was referred by a co worker.
I wanted to have them work on one of the properties to see how they do.
Today I got a call saying that they canceled an appointment without checking with me. They said they tried to reach me, I did not get any phone calls, or an email. Usually companies suppose to send an email as a proof of ""unable to reach"".
Not a professional service.
Not recommended.

Receptionist was rude and after 4 weeks of waiting for an appointment, nothing.
Very poor experience

S'top replaced my roof a few years ago. Did a great job. Quick, friendly, affordable. They also did the house next door last year, and were similarly great. They even came out several times to diagnose a leak. When we figured out that the leak was from a cracked pipe and not from their work, they weren't upset, just glad they were able to find the problem.

These guys were amazing!
Great service.
Quick, thorough, showed up on time. Cleaned up when they left.
There was a little difficulty in understanding what they were saying and I don't think they understood anything I was saying either but we worked around it and we are completely satisfied
