John Stegman and his business are absolutely HORRIBLE. John has personal issues which prevent him from dealing with women in a professional manner. He allows an obscene amount of bullying among his crewmembers, and when brought to his attention he laughed about it. The disgusting amount of trash and nails, left behind was staggering. When brought to his attention I was told basically, to ask nicely and he would send someone out. $14,000 and I have to plot and plan my words around his sensitive ego? Being in business for 30 years, does not equate to honesty or professionalism. Hire STEGMAN ROOFING AT YOUR OWN RISK.

There's not much to say. After a year of leaks. Repairs. Leaks. Repairs. This has been a horrible experience for my family. Yea yea roofs get old. What can I say under evaluations of looking on top of the roofs have led to constant new leaks which lead to not just more and more patch up seal jobs but also having to re patch the in house ceiling pitfalls with new patches and new paint over and over. Even at times where I had to physically go up to the roof and point out what about here. This looks like a crack etc etc. should there be a more thorough evaluation up there to where I don't have to do this when it's being paid for.

I originally had Kern County Roofing and they never contacted me when they were delayed. So we went with Stegman's roofing that was the best decision ever! The owner is wonderful, prompt and efficient. His staff is wonderful as well!
It is very hard to get roofers to call you back in this area, but if you call John you will not be disappointed!

Stegman Roofing provided me with a great price on a commercial roof repair. It was on a big commercial building which he finished fairly quick and clean. I highly recommend John Stegman and his great group of roofers working with him. They are all very polite and professional.

Extremely disappointed! Contacted Mr. Stegman for a roof replacement and he made an onsite visit within three days. Upon arrival Mr. Stegman did not get out of vehicle nor did he make an inspection of the roof. Several weeks later, I had to contact him about the status of the estimate - a summary was provided the next day. The estimate was almost three times the amount of several other estimates received and when pressed for the detail behind the estimate, Mr. Stegman commented that he was too busy to do my job and to withdraw his original estimate.

The father of my child called John Stegman and asked him to look at the roof and gave us an estimate. When we were ready for the roof to get fixed the father of my child text him on August 2 to come and fix the roof and John replied ""I will let you know when I can do it"" and basically that was it. We had another roofer do it for less and gave us a longer warranty.

Unfortunately, my children used this company for a roof certification. They are 23 and 25 years old and we are very proud they bought a home together. With that said, Mr Stegman was very uncooperative when a problem reared its ugly head.

Shortly after they moved in they noticed many big chunks of their roof shingles started sliding down the roof. There are gaps in the roof in at least four places. My children contacted Mr. Stegman. He said unless the roof leaked he would not do anything.

What good is his roof certification? What good is Me. Stegman or the quality of his work?

Mr. Stegman apparently gets offended when you ask what he's going to do for the $350.00 minimum price he quotes. Then he gets more offended when you state that a 6-month warranty doesn't seem very good for the price being paid. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere.
I gave him two stars for showing up when he agreed to.
