Our journey started as TX Builders, where we concentrated on roofing services, but we have evolved into Statewide Builders and Supply LLC.
Statewide Builders was established to expand our services beyond roofing, delivering a full range of design and build contracting services. We manage everything from roofing, interior home repairs and renovations, exterior repairs and remodeling, outdoor design and build projects, windows, siding, patios, and decks.
Doug Thornton, the owner of Statewide Builders and Supply LLC, was motivated to pursue home repairs and remodeling by the influence of his father and grandfather, who worked in both residential and commercial construction. I grew passionate about crafting beautiful spaces for families to enjoy, and enriching the lives of homeowners and their families.

Joan N.BE WARNED. This company is HORRIBLE. Doug was the person we spoke with. He said he's confident he knows how to cover out pergola; told us about this ""polygal"" from Regal Plastics; showed us pics about his previous projects using polygal; then he wanted a downpayment. I told my husband NO. So we ended up ordering our polygal directly from Regal Plastics (horrible product by the way! And I left a separate review for this equally bad company).
Day of installation: Doug was nowhere to be found. Then 3 guys showed up with NO tools with them, not even a ladder! then this other guy asked if we have water and food. Uhm, excuse me??!! They walked in our home expecting to be served.
The polygal got delivered, and Doug's men started peeling off the covers not telling us about the defective product. Then started pounding on it on our pergola. When we checked on the polygal, there's SO MANY dents on it!! They knew about it but never told us.
Doug only came the beginning of their work then he left. These men don't even have a vehicle! Doug was out the entire time these men ""worked"" on installing the polygal.
When we looked at the polygal they're lining up at the top of the pergola, those have numerous dents as well! And these workers were not at all careful too! They just wanted the work done ASAP and collect their payment. We then asked them to stop what they're doing and called Regal Plastics and Doug.
Three months or so after, we still have this defective polygal that Regal Plastics won't pick up and we haven't heard ONCE from Doug after the fact. So very unprofessional!! I'm just glad we didn't give him a single dollar!!
Stay away from this company and from this man!
Homeowner BE AWARE using Statewide Builders & Supply LLC. Owner Noble Douglas Thornton
Our story is similar to others - we contracted with Statewide Builders & Supply, LLC in February 2017 to replace the hardy plank on our garage, paint the exterior, and replace columns on our porch.
After providing a down-payment, we encountered numerous delays and excuses. Work was not performed as promised. Then his credit card was ""frozen"". In order to keep the job moving, we agreed to directly pay for materials and subcontractors, up to the original contract price. Through this process we learned that wholesale suppliers would not extend credit to Mr. Thorton. To date, the painting contractor has not been paid by Mr. Thornton. The painter has only received what we paid.
Like others, I strongly suggest that you DO NOT use this business, but if you do, your agreement should be to pay in full only after services are rendered. He has no working capital and told us that he used our down payment to pay personal bills and bills from other jobs. There are multiple comments from other that have used this business and have experienced the same thing we have.
