Incredible roofing company. Started our new roof the week Harvey hit. Finished half our roof before the storm. My husband and I were prepared for roof leaks throughout the storm. They called during the storm and assured us if anything happened with our roof, they have an emergency team in place. After 40 inches of rain we did not have one leak!! They came back two weeks later and finished. They helped rescue people during and weeks after the storm. Quality roofing and quality people - can't get much better than that!

This company was one of the companies referred to me by the insurance company. Unfortunately, two years after the new roof was in place, I ended up with multiple leaks that caused damage to multiple rooms in my house.

The installers failed to replace the 22 year old flashing, including the one around the chimney. They didn't properly seal around the vents, and left many nails unsealed.

I have recently had the pleasure of doing business with Stars and Stripes. After filing an insurance claim they came out to do the initial inspection on my property. I had a live oak tree fall on my home breezeway and caused nearly $14k in damage.

I discovered that Stars and Stripes have been an approved contractor for AMICA insurance as well as many others for many years. Our claim handler told me that few companies stay on rotation as approved contactors and the fact that they had been on for so many was a testament to their good service and work.

Their work was quick, efficient, friendly and communication was great. Furthermore, the workers had been affiliated with Stars and Stripes for nearly 2 decades. As a customer that tells me that it is a solid business who takes care of its workers and customers.

In the end, I felt that I did not only get what I paid for but much more as well. Excellent!

We contracted with Stars and Stripes to build a large porch addition and install a new roof. Ron, the owner, was very organized and completed the porch very quickly, exactly the way we asked. The roof, however, is a different matter. Five years later, the roof has one or more slow leaks. After examining the roof, I noticed that all of the exhaust vents were not changed out per the contract. He sent a couple of guys out to take a look at the roof. They concluded that water was seeping through a crack in one of the old exhaust vents. Ron told me it would be $400 to replace it. In the mean time they caulked the crack. I thought that was kind of low. So I hired a different roofer who replaced the vent for $250. Unfortunately, the slow leak continued. So I hired a third roofer who actually fixed one of the leaks. He showed me many places where nails were sticking out of shingles, where flashing had been secured with small nails that had popped up and where the roof had not been flushed properly with the gutter. The problem with Stars and Stripes is that Ron is too busy to oversee the jobs. Having a bunch of low paid guys come out to do a roof with little supervision is the reason for the shoddy work.
