In 2007 I used Southern Roofing to roof my mother-in-laws house. They worked fine but 6 months later the roof leaked and I got water on my ceiling and had to pay a contractor to take care of this. They failed to properly seal an area that leaked. I took them to small claims court, was awarded a judgment and have yet to receive anything. Reminded of this looking over paperwork as I am preparing to have the house reroofed. I will not be using them. Perhaps they have gotten better at their warranties, since they failed to honor the one I received in 2007.

I'm pleased to read that some customers have had a pleasant experience with Southern Roofing Texas, but this company is a deceptive company that uses their employees to canvas neighborhoods an target homes that need roof repair. The representative comes out and is very nice when trying to get your business and make promises that they apparently can't keep. Southern Roofing Texas promise that they can get your ""INSURANCE COMPANY"" to pay at ""NO COST"" to you. We signed a contract with their two reps. for an amount undisclosed here and we were told that this amount would cover everything. Next, the contract stated paying half up front and the balance due at the end of the job, now we did all this according to the contract. About a month later Southern Roofing Texas submitted another bill to our ""INSURANCE COMPANY"" for work that they had not done, trying to pull a ""SCAM"" on them. Right now, ""today"" even though we honored their ""CONTRACT"", they seemed to refuse to honor it themselves. We want all homeowners to beware of this companies ""ACTS"", they will be reported to the Better Business Bureau and the 3 network stations. I know they want publicity, so we will let public know who they are through the media.

We would "" NEVER"" recommend this company to anyone because of their deceptive practices.

Had Phil and his folks out for an estimate and review. He seemed like a nice enough guy so we went ahead and drew up a contract with a 3 day cancel clause. I had another roofer from earlier call back with a quote that was $1500 lower so I asked Phil to meet the price - he did not. I notified him that I was cancelling my contract per our 3 day clause and go with another roofer. All the nice goes out the window and now says he wants $800 to cancel contract and threatens with legal action. Obviously he did not remember that I work at a law firm.
