At first, we realized no local company was meeting the right standards.
Every roof we've inspected in Coastal Georgia has been poorly installed and would not pass a manufacturer or code inspection.
Most homeowners reaching out about leaks are often victims of inadequate work.
Each customer we've interacted with has a story about their negative experiences with bad contractors.
This motivated us to create our own company.
We eliminated the frustrations that contractors often impose on clients.
We developed our company from the foundation up, encouraging each other to grow and meet the demands of our clients.
We pride ourselves on being on time.
We have a team of friendly and approachable individuals.
We maintain intelligence and organization in our work.
We provide remarkable quality in our work.
We aim for complete excellence and an unmatched customer experience.
If you care for your home like we do, let’s talk, and we’ll show you what makes us different.
We broke apart the detrimental parts of corporate management that restrict growth and established a new vision from our hearts.
South Shore Roofing Company.
A vision designed to improve the future of our community.
A fresh team fueled by enthusiasm, integrity, and dedication.
People dedicated to enhancing their lives every day by striving for progress.
What we receive in life reflects the individuals we become.
After extensive training and hard work, our team creates the results they desire and deserve.
They choose their own hours.
They set their own targets.
They receive the recognition they have always sought.
They feel appreciated.
They shape their lives and pursue their dreams.
As for me, I’m here to guide, mentor, and support them in becoming the individuals they aspire to be.
Each day is a new adventure, and we are here to engage fully.

Everything was good from the beginning appointment to the final roof replacement. I highly
recommend.

I've used South Shore Roofing for two of my projects now and both times they have gone above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. Luke, Kyle and Brett are extremely hard working and professional. I'll be calling them again for my next project as well.

South shore roofing was super professional in every facet of the job. Arriving on time for the estimate and then finishing the job in one day, along with covering up all of my greenery and cleaning up afterwards immaculately. On my end, I had the wrong size vent for my stove pipe, and the boss came back and finished that up with a little bit of help from me. After all the rain over the last month, I am so happy to have a new roof that looks excellent, and it kept all the rain out!

We're delighted we chose South Shore for our roofing needs. Start to finish, they delivered; professional service and a seamless process. Each Team Member provided consistently courteous and quality service within the realm of their specialty area. Initial contact via phone was with Brett, who provided an overview of services and initiated the scheduling of our initial meeting. Sales Rep., Kevin was not only delightful, but delivered a thorough inspection inclusive of rooftop and attic photos illustrating our needs. He outlined the process, discussed color options, and answered all of our, many, questions. Kevin, also, provided things for us to consider that allowed us to be better prepared; noise concerns, pets, securing of items both inside and outside). The Project Manager, Michael, helped determine a timeline and communicated all project details; dumpster arrangements, materials delivery, etc. Crew Manager, Juan, oversaw the actual roofing, working alongside his crew to ensure quality and efficiency, but with consideration to maintaining a ""clean"" site using tarps around perimeter and covering pool to concentrate the ""debris field."" Suffice it to say, only ONE roofing nail was found afterwards, and this, prior to Company Owner, Kyle Patrick's final sweep and inspection. Kyle met with us to ensure the job met our expectations, as well as the clearly high standards of South Shore Roofing. We could not be happier with the work done and the final outcome. Would recommend South Shore as THE company to trust! Charles and Beth Rawlinson, Richmond Hill, GA

South Shore is the best, did my roof faster than expected. The team kept me informed and was on time to start the job. After the job was complete, they came back to check on the work. I highly recommend South Shore, number 1 in my book.

I dont understand the bad reviews. They did my roof earlier then I anticipated and my roof is gorgeous. Ive been dealing with David Stillwell and he did a fabulous job. I thank you so very much for your professionalism and your speed. You have my business forever. Sincerely, Candyce Hobbs and Mike Fonte
PS: and no, I wasnt paid for this review!!!

These people suck all the way around! My husband called to set up an appt for getting an estimate on our roof - the guy never showed up! Their argument??? That the appt wasn't with ME, the Wife! Then the guy LIES about showing up and going up on the roof - which he never did! Why do I know? BECAUSE I WAS HERE! But Oh, I'm just the WIFE, so it doesn't matter!!! Then he gives my husband a bogusly HIGH estimate (remember, he didn't even go up on the roof - doens't know how big of an extension we have in the back, if any, what kind of damage WE already know is there - ANYTHING!!"" Their argument? Still!? Oh hey, but the MEETING wasn't WITH ME!! Michael's Roofing DID show up AND didn't mind that I was the one here!!! Their guy DID go up on the roof, got accurate measurements, SAW the damage!!! He gave us two estimates - one for metal, one for shingles - BOTH included replacing as much decking as would need to be replaced! GUESS WHAT!!! The shingle estimate was HALF of what SS's guy gave us for shingles!!! The METAL roof was even $2,000 cheaper than the SS's for shingles!! PLUS Michael's guy gave it all in writing to ME - THE WIFE!! SS's guy - NOTHING! NO PAPER WORK!!
OOOOOhhhh, now I get it - from one of the crew members that was working on our house - makes sense too! These people ONLY want to work on high end homes, and we are low life trailer trash - if a nice 1500sq double wide mobile home is TRASH! But hey, that's almost $6000 that wasn't good enough to go into South Shore's pockets!!! That's find with me, THE WIFE!!! Because I now have an AweSome New Roof - including new decking over most of it!
Now, I'll tell you my secret!! This low life stupid wife that doesn't matter to South Shore - used to WORK in roofing!!! Yep! ME!!!
Now, I'm telling you - it doesn't MATTER how expensive your home is. It's isn't going to be worth shit if you let these idiots do your roofing!!! Just because they will only work on higher end homes, doesn't mean their work is high quality work!!! And when they DIS your wives?!?!? UhUh!! No! I'm telling you right now - go with someone else !!! I personally recommend Michael's Roofing!!

best thing I can say is to shut down. After an extremely poor performance I fired them and wrote this letter to kyle the owner.
Kyle,
See attached pictures (Pictures may be sent in several emails because of file size). These are just a few of the many I have and have been included in this email for reference. This roofing installation has and continues to be a disaster and it is almost incomprehensible to think a professional roofer, or anyone in the roofing business for that matter, could perform so poorly. I believe every component of this roofing system has been installed incorrectly and the vast majority is still installed incorrectly despite the fact that both roofs have been installed two times and the ridge vents three times. Even though not all, some specific items are highlighted below.
* Garage
o Decking too short at eave. Can lift shingle and see into attic.
o Starter strips backwards
o No adhesive on eave shingles.
o Nails not installed on eave shingles within 3"" of edge
o Eave shingles not secured against wind and water damage. Wind and water damage likely.
o Bent eave drip. This occurs in several places. This was cautioned against before job started but damage to eave persisted throughout job.
o Felt nails bent. Is this why the roof looks so rough? Shingles would need to be removed to check.
o Ridge vent cuts too wide
o Extremely rough, messy, ragged and unprofessional cuts on ridge vent openings
o Patch under ridge vent inadequate. This small strip of wood is bound to cup or warp and cause problems.
o Nails not reaching through ridge vent and securing vent to decking
o Decking cut too short in absence of facia thrown away by roofers. Decking should have been reinstalled to accommodate replacement facia board. I don't know what was done to get the facia covering installed but I doubt it was done correctly. And the nail that fell out of the hole in the facia covering would seem to support this thought.
o Roofing installed with facia board missing without allowing room for replacement of facia board (decking cut too short)
o Rotten or missing facia board where nail fell out.
o Nail hole in facia
o Window screens torn
o Vinyl siding trim fell off dormer after roofing installed
* House
o No adhesive on eave shingles
o Nails not installed on eave shingles within 3"" of edge
o Eave shingles not secured against wind and water damage
o Bent eave drip
o Felt paper blocking ridge vents
o Nails not reaching through ridge vent and securing vent to decking
o Bent nails under shingles. Noticed from ground but suspect more from looking at upper level.
o Majority of window screens torn
o Complete job required white eave drip but black was unbelievably installed around downstairs porch.
o Are felt nails also bent on house roof? Roof looks rough and uneven
o Sloppy looking flashing on entire roof. Is it installed correctly.
What amazes me is that I am the one that has had to tell you of these problems. There has been absolutely no quality control or oversite on this job. Any able-bodied person off the street could have read the instructions on the roofing material packages and done the job ten times better. I have absolutely no faith or confidence in this roof and I believe failure is imminent. I hired South Shore roofing for one reason. I wanted a great roofing job and I saw that South Shore had across the board ""5 Star"" reviews. So I hired a company who advertised themselves as 5-star rated and I got a 0-star project. And now, as far as I'm concerned, it needs to be redone by a roofing company that actually does quality work. And do you know what makes my confidence even lower? The fact that you don't have confidence in your company either. I know this because you solicit strangers, friends and anyone else you can reach to provide PAID favorable reviews posted on Facebook and google. I've seen the reviews by your coworkers, fellow roofers, brothers, sister, sister's boyfriend, friends, strangers and others but soliciting to pay for fake reviews is about as unethical and unprofessional as it gets. You use these 5-star reviews as the backbone of your adverting trying to get folks like me to hire you because purportedly you do great work. I've seen the solicitations and advertising on many of the Facebook user groups in area. And so you are engaged in false advertising which is reportable to the federal trade commission. This is also Fraud and can be dealt with in a court of law. Google and Facebook also don't allow such activity and when reported to them it will be dealt with accordingly. And I think it only fair that all the Facebook users and groups where you have advertised know of your fake reviews, solicitations and extremely poor work.
You can also see the check they wrote to Chad laster for his fake review. There is a picture on Chads facebook page.

I used South Shore Roofing 3 times now. They did a roof replacement on my house, and I can tell you only one thing, South Shore is the best roofing contractor in Savannah!

I have used South Shore Roofing twice now and i can say they are the best roofing company i have ever used. i hired them for a roof repair and they did a great job!! I highly recommend them!
