    best thing I can say is to shut down. After an extremely poor performance I fired them and wrote this letter to kyle the owner.

    Kyle,
    See attached pictures (Pictures may be sent in several emails because of file size). These are just a few of the many I have and have been included in this email for reference. This roofing installation has and continues to be a disaster and it is almost incomprehensible to think a professional roofer, or anyone in the roofing business for that matter, could perform so poorly. I believe every component of this roofing system has been installed incorrectly and the vast majority is still installed incorrectly despite the fact that both roofs have been installed two times and the ridge vents three times. Even though not all, some specific items are highlighted below.
    * Garage
    o Decking too short at eave. Can lift shingle and see into attic.
    o Starter strips backwards
    o No adhesive on eave shingles.
    o Nails not installed on eave shingles within 3"" of edge
    o Eave shingles not secured against wind and water damage. Wind and water damage likely.
    o Bent eave drip. This occurs in several places. This was cautioned against before job started but damage to eave persisted throughout job.
    o Felt nails bent. Is this why the roof looks so rough? Shingles would need to be removed to check.
    o Ridge vent cuts too wide
    o Extremely rough, messy, ragged and unprofessional cuts on ridge vent openings
    o Patch under ridge vent inadequate. This small strip of wood is bound to cup or warp and cause problems.
    o Nails not reaching through ridge vent and securing vent to decking
    o Decking cut too short in absence of facia thrown away by roofers. Decking should have been reinstalled to accommodate replacement facia board. I don't know what was done to get the facia covering installed but I doubt it was done correctly. And the nail that fell out of the hole in the facia covering would seem to support this thought.
    o Roofing installed with facia board missing without allowing room for replacement of facia board (decking cut too short)
    o Rotten or missing facia board where nail fell out.
    o Nail hole in facia
    o Window screens torn
    o Vinyl siding trim fell off dormer after roofing installed

    * House
    o No adhesive on eave shingles
    o Nails not installed on eave shingles within 3"" of edge
    o Eave shingles not secured against wind and water damage
    o Bent eave drip
    o Felt paper blocking ridge vents
    o Nails not reaching through ridge vent and securing vent to decking
    o Bent nails under shingles. Noticed from ground but suspect more from looking at upper level.
    o Majority of window screens torn
    o Complete job required white eave drip but black was unbelievably installed around downstairs porch.
    o Are felt nails also bent on house roof? Roof looks rough and uneven
    o Sloppy looking flashing on entire roof. Is it installed correctly.

    What amazes me is that I am the one that has had to tell you of these problems. There has been absolutely no quality control or oversite on this job. Any able-bodied person off the street could have read the instructions on the roofing material packages and done the job ten times better. I have absolutely no faith or confidence in this roof and I believe failure is imminent. I hired South Shore roofing for one reason. I wanted a great roofing job and I saw that South Shore had across the board ""5 Star"" reviews. So I hired a company who advertised themselves as 5-star rated and I got a 0-star project. And now, as far as I'm concerned, it needs to be redone by a roofing company that actually does quality work. And do you know what makes my confidence even lower? The fact that you don't have confidence in your company either. I know this because you solicit strangers, friends and anyone else you can reach to provide PAID favorable reviews posted on Facebook and google. I've seen the reviews by your coworkers, fellow roofers, brothers, sister, sister's boyfriend, friends, strangers and others but soliciting to pay for fake reviews is about as unethical and unprofessional as it gets. You use these 5-star reviews as the backbone of your adverting trying to get folks like me to hire you because purportedly you do great work. I've seen the solicitations and advertising on many of the Facebook user groups in area. And so you are engaged in false advertising which is reportable to the federal trade commission. This is also Fraud and can be dealt with in a court of law. Google and Facebook also don't allow such activity and when reported to them it will be dealt with accordingly. And I think it only fair that all the Facebook users and groups where you have advertised know of your fake reviews, solicitations and extremely poor work.

    You can also see the check they wrote to Chad laster for his fake review. There is a picture on Chads facebook page.

    They came when the sun came up and left when the sun went down, most excellent! The new roof looks really really good and I would recommend their work to anyone that needs roof repair or replacement. The replaced my entire roof!!

    South Shore Roofing installed a new asphalt shingle roof on my home. The crew that performed this task was very friendly and very safety conscience. The pitch on the roof was a little more steep than normal and so when the crew was on the roof they were tied off safely. The crew worked well as a team to get the project completed. While part of the crew was on the roof, there were members on the ground picking up the debris and nails / screws from the old roof coming off. They used magnets on wheels to get most of the nails and screws up. I would recommend South Shore Roofing for anyone that is about to have any roofing work done.
