Beyond the communication and professionalism, the quality of work is as good as it gets. Zack took his time to hand pick tiles that would look the best next to each other and all of his cuts/grout lines and small details were absolutely perfect. South Fork remodeled two of my bathrooms, my kitchen, removed partition walls to open my floor plan, and remodeled my kitchen. The owner Jeff Teie and his crew were fantastic to work with, true craftsmen with an artistic eye. I gave them some challenges including Italian tile with some difficult patterns including tile that looked like wood planking with varying grains. Most companies would have simply put it up as they pulled it from the box without concern for how the grain matched to adjacent tile, but Zack laid out all of the tile before installation to ensure maximum effect and it's stunning. We discussed design choices and Jeff's suggestions led to a far better outcomes. Great folks, great work ethic, great communication, and fantastic results. I VERY highly recommend South Fork Construction.

Jeff, the owner, made a personal visit and estimate but it was master craftsman and puzzle solver Zack who did the work on our bathroom remodel - carefully matching veins in the porcelain tiles to link up and look like marble. I can't recommend them highly enough!

For anyone looking to hire a general contractor to remodel and beautify their home, South Fork Construction has delivered amazing results for us time and time again. Prior to hiring South Fork, we had a horrific experience with a contractor we found on Nextdoor. Needless to say, we were very wary home owners. Fortunately, a contractor we trusted that did some custom glasswork for us shared the contact information for Jeff Teie at South Fork. Jeff made a great first impression and was friendly, easy to communicate with, knowledgeable and professional. Jeff was thorough in explaining the process, expected timelines, and the pricing breakdown. Jeff provided the formal bid, but the actual work was done by his counterpart, Zach. My understanding is Zach handles projects in the Folsom area and Jeff handles projects in the Placerville area. Zach has been fantastic to work with. We've had him work on 4 bathrooms for us over the years and looking forward to having him revamp our kitchen in the future. Some of the many reasons why Zach at South Fork has gained our trust and loyalty:

Great communicator (texted every morning to let us know what time to expect him and was very punctual)

Hard working and didn't require oversight

Phenomenal attention to detail (meticulous with tile patterns/placement, clean grout lines, etc...)

Impeccably clean (every time a job was completed our house was left cleaner than before he started the project)

Willing to listen to the home owner's outlandish requests (but will also communicate realistic expectations)

My husband and I are so happy we hired South Fork Construction for our master bathroom remodel. We had done two other bathroom remodels with another contractor because Jeff was booked for a couple of months and we wish we would have waited and had him do all 3 bathrooms...he is worth the wait if you are looking for quality, integrity, and professionalism. I cannot recommend more highly the work that was performed by Jeff and Zach at South Fork Construction. From start to finish, they have been nothing but a pleasure to work with. Jeff came out in person to talk through what we wanted out of our master bathroom remodel and provided a detailed estimate at a competitive price. Communication throughout the project was top notch and I was always kept in the loop regarding schedule and project details. Zach performed most of the work on our project and his meticulous attention to detail was impressive. Corners were never cut and he always brought to my attention problems that were encountered so that we could work through them to a solution. The work area was always cleaned up tidy at the end of every day which means a lot when you are still living in your home while it is being remodeled. Our remodel was a complete gut of the master bathroom with new relocation of electrical, plumbing, new cabinets, and a custom shower. The tile work in the shower was flawless and is the highlight of the room. We are extremely happy with the finished product. Jeff and Zach are a couple of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of working with and I plan to keep in touch long after the project has been completed. We recently contracted with Southfork Construction to complete 3 full bathroom remodels. The project was handled with professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. Structural work, new tub, new windows, new vanities and countertops, plumbing and electrical changes, new fixtures, and wall and floor tile installation was accomplished with outstanding results.
