I was not suggesting that the hurricane caused the delay; merely elongated it. I take full responsibility for missing the due date by 3 or 4 months. What I did say was I tried to call back while still in that fiscal year to get an inspection done POST-Ian, and despite leaving countless messages, I was ignored until I finally got someone. Still, it seems coincidental that reminders ceased after a certain number of years. The first five years or so, your office would call and remind me, tapering off a bit. It is almost as if you want people to forget, but why would that be? I wonder. I offered to make it right, to pay for 2 services to get back on track, but no one was having it. It is much easier, after all, not to have to worry about another customer's warranty, I suppose.

The seller put on the roof, we didn't know at the time how important roofs were to insurance at the time, (we moved from a state that didn't have hurricanes or tornadoes). Our realtor suggested a wind mitigation report and after the roof was reviewed our insurance costs dropped, a lot. Our neighbor, who has a background in building maintenance, watched SonShine Roofing install our roof and was so impressed by the workmanship that he had his roof installed by them. Five years later we needed the permit info for a new wind mitigation report, the inspector said it might be hard for him to get it. Called SonShine Roofing, they emailed it over within minutes.

When you're dealing with someone that's honest you don't have to worry about hidden numbers that will find you later. After you're in the job and you've been managed by a carpet bagger. It's unfortunate that in times of hurricanes and storms we make bad decisions based on the initial numbers.

Sonshine did a great job on my roof. Complicated roof with many Hips and Valleys they pointed out areas they knew would be a problem before starting, took pictures of the damaged wood before and after repair. Good communication before and during the job. Responsive after the job to questions. Good crew, they were respectful of the neighbors with noise and music volume if they even played it. Fair price and a military discount. If i ever need a new roof again i'll call them.

We had a 1972 roof and it was badly in need of replacing. We received 3 quotes, and SonShine was not the cheapest but when you compared the materials, you could tell why. They use top quality roof tiles and underlays. They are incredibly knowledgeable, and trustworthy. When the work was being done an old tile had broken on the way off the roof, the next day Nathan had a guy fixing the window. We were given updates on what was happening when, and they really have their business down to a science. We have had so many people saying how great our roof looks, and we would highly recommend SonShine to anyone wanting a top-notch quality roof. A+
