thank you to sonny and his crew for the new roof Was on point and a good price Lower then other roofer will recommend neighbors fix

Not impressed at this point though if we ever get a response from Sonny and the decking repair is completed as originally described I might revise my rating.
The repaired deck roof no longer leaks but water still pools on the deck surface though in smaller puddles luckily away from the walls of the house.
The job description was to slant the underlying surface so that water drained into the drainpipe.
What we got was a slightly better slant of the surface but the worker used insulation to sculpt a water path and then covered the surface with roofing material.
The surface is squishy when stepped on and when the surfaces dry out I suspect the roofing material will eventually crack with that much flex.
We contacted Sonny but he has been sick, or a family member was in the hospital, or he just didn't show up.
I thought the price at $3,200 was way too high for what turned out to be half a day's work but we were desperate to stop the leak of water into the wall of the living room.
My husband did not check Sonny's Yelp rating. If he had we would not have hired Sonny as the roofer for this small job.
I DO NOT recommend this business.

Spoke with Sonny March 2023, my carport roof had damage due to rain and wind. He was able to come out quickly and get a tarp on the roof. Because of that experience I hired him to replace the roof, big mistake. He is untrustworthy and makes excuse after excuse, his favorite is he's in the hospital or sick. If it's not him, it's his wife. I actually felt sorry for this guy. He did a decent job on the roof but never sent me the warranty information, just a receipt which is probably as worthless as the paper it's on. He also tried to insert himself as my property manager (no thank you!) and find other work that needed to be done (there was none). After going to the site to check on the roof I noticed that they left behind a lot of materials, wood, gutter, metal, etc. I text Sonny to let him know and he says it will be taken care of the next day. That was in July. After 5 months of excuses (8x I he replied with ""my guys said they picked it up"", ""my brother will pick up tomorrow"", ""I'm in the hospital"") I finally had to pay someone to come cut up all the material and haul it away at a cost of $250. I sent Sonny the receipt and gave him the chance to take care of it. He said ""next week when I get home"". Well I waited 2 weeks. I wish I would have seen these Yelp reviews before I hired him through Thumbtack where he is currently doing business under the same name.

Contracted Sonny to replace the roof on my garage in Dec 2022. It had a leak and I wanted to get it fixed before the next rain. He said it will be a 4 day job and they can start within a couple weeks. They just finished now in July 2023. He is very unreliable and scheduled with me multiple times and then didn't show up at the agreed time, with no call or text. Before starting Sonny informed me that they had actually quoted for a repair rather than a replacement and the price would actually be significantly higher. I don't know why I didn't run away at this point but I decided to continue. Sonny's crew were great and the roof itself seems adequately installed but they cut corners on some details. They put the downspouts up on the stucco exterior with nails(!) causing damage to the stucco that they then had to repair. They also didn't paint under the fascia boards before installing the gutters so the wood is unprotected. They had also quoted to paint all the existing fascia boards but only painted the new ones. I'd informed him about these areas I wasn't happy with so he had a chance to put it right but instead he simply asked me not to post a review! Sorry- not recommended!

After I gave them good review because they were quick, I was never able to get them to come back and fix some of errors that I discovered after they left. Sonny answered the phone and said he would send someone - that someone never came.

Sonny Bimbo is unethical, continuously lies and does not follow up. We have yet to get our signed permit from him a year out. I can't tell you how many times he says he'll show up and never does. After the first rain, we had wood rot stains under the eves after a new roof and paint job. The painters only pained where you could see it. I had to get after them to paint the house under the deck, and the space under the eves on the roofline are still unpainted. Unprofessional. Make a mess, there was paint spots all over our front yard and BMW which was parked on the street and up the hill a bit. Can't believe a word he says.

If there was a zero star, I would select that because one star is too generous for this guy. The owner, Sonny is very untrustworthy and unreliable. I had him redo the roof on my duplex and on my parent's house. After my experience with my duplex I should have never hired him to do my parent's house. The only reason I elected to was because rain was forecasted and the roof was in very bad shape. There was no time to find another contractor.
When I first spoke to Sonny on the phone he told me that he was licensed and bonded. I met him at my duplex and he didn't even go up on the roof to inspect it. He flew a drone to hover over the roof, took some pictures and gave me a quote that was quite low. That should have been a red flag because during the demolition of the original roof, he told me he has to expand the scope and charge me extra for the project-twice. In total, an increase of $14,700 from the original quote. I know sometimes it's hard to tell what damage is under the roofing material but not even going up on the roof to inspect it before providing a quote showed a total lack of professionalism. This is just the beginning of a very bad experience for me.
1. On countless occasions he or his crew often didn't show up when he said they would. Didn't even bother calling to say he will be late or he cannot make it that day. Nothing.
2. He uses old material. There was a couple of facial boards on my duplex that need to be replaced due to dry rot. One of them was replaced but was replaced with an old one. I know this because the old paint was still on the facial board and it looked weathered-not new. Another instance were four down spouts that I paid extra for. One of them was not new. He took an old one from another location of the house and put it in the new spot. During the inspection, I told him that was unacceptable and it needed to be replaced with a brand new one. He eventually did.
3. Sonny cuts corners and tries to get away with minimum work. On my parent's house, the quote clearly stated that wood to be replaced where needed. When I went to inspect the progress on one of the days, I was shocked to see that they had already laid down part of the underlayment without replacing rotten and broken wood. There were many places on the roof that was rotten so badly that my foot could have easily went right through the roof. I had to stay up on the roof for close to the entire day and point out every rotten piece that needed to be replaced. If I had not done so, the new roofing material would have covered a roof structure that was structurally unsound. I know they were not planning to replace any of the rotten wood because they didn't even have new wood ready for replacement. They had to spend a couple of hours at Home Depot to buy the new wood.
4. After the roof on my duplex and my parent's house were done and I paid Sonny the full amount, I requested the invoices for both jobs. I had specifically requested that the contractor license be on the invoice. He sent one invoice but without the license number. I asked again for an updated invoice and for the invoice of the other job. He never sent them. I have called and texted him everyday. He sometimes reply saying he would when he gets back to his office. But he never did. He is now avoiding my calls. I'm not hundred percent sure but I speculate that me demanding the license number to be on the invoice might have something to do with it. He told me at the beginning that he was license but now I'm not so sure.
I could go on and on but I'll stop here. Save yourself the headache and hire a real professional.

I made an appointment that was urgent due to water damage. They never showed up. Zero communication. I do not recommend this company.

Came out and sent us a quote. When we asked fir his contractor license, he never called back.

Sonny roofing was amazing they did a beautiful job on my roof they was professional and quick I'm vary satisfied with the results thank you sonny highly appreciated it and I will highly recommend yous to friends and family
