For nearly a century, we have committed ourselves to supplying Miami with premium interior and exterior paints, roof waterproofing coatings for both residential and commercial needs, driveway paints, and beyond.
Founded in the 1920s by Sy Greene and Myrlte, Somay (Southern Manufacturers Agency) began by supplying raw materials to professional painters for their unique paint formulations.

In the aftermath of the 1926 Hurricane that impacted Miami, local authorities requested the Greenes' expertise to produce a solution for leaky roofs that could be sourced locally.
In response, the Greenes set to work on a product, transforming Somay into a manufacturer of paints and coatings.
