Since 1926, we have been dedicated to providing Miami with top-quality interior and exterior paints, waterproofing roof coatings for residential and commercial properties, driveway paints, and more.
Founded in the 1920s by Sy Greene and Myrlte, Somay (Southern Manufacturers Agency) began by supplying raw materials to professional painters for their unique paint formulations.

In the aftermath of the 1926 Hurricane that impacted Miami, local authorities requested the Greenes' expertise to produce a solution for leaky roofs that could be sourced locally.
In response, the Greenes set to work on a product, transforming Somay into a manufacturer of paints and coatings.
