petersendean has declared bankruptcy! as such my 20 year warranty probably isn't worth the paper it is written on. stay away even if they reopen for business.

I would not recommend this company for any work. We went under contract October 2019 for a solar project and they still do not even have the permits. They have no one assigned to our project and they seem to be a complete mess. They have taken 13k from us but have nothing to show for it. When we call we get different stories and they all sound like they have been made up on the spot. They are clearly unable to deliver what was promised. They are saying that because of Covid 19 they had to halt all work yet we have seen roofers and solar installers all over Solono County. I don't have a problem with employees staying home to protect themselves but this company seems to be completely unable to deliver anything. We, like others here, also will be contacting Better Business Bureau.

Update: 2 months later and still no panels. They lied and saying someone was sick and will give me a brand new install date. Will be discussing with BBB and then a lawyer.

Go elsewhere! This company does not deliver the service or quality they advertise. Beware...the West Sacramento office staff are awful. I've been hung up on by an assistant manager, Letitia Hopkins. Amanda Ruiz is clueless. The manager, Dimitri Amos, makes excuses for his staff's behavior, and has gone radio silent with no responses to my phone calls or emails.
We went into contract with Petersen Dean in the Summer of 2019.
8 months later we still don't have a working system, but Petersen Dean has our $36,000.

don't use peterson dean ! horrible experience !!! management can care less and dont call as of today january 7th 2020. panels finally on and job still not complete ! supervisors do not call back and take no accountability for mistake after mistake ! worst decision and company i've ever worked with , i'll make sure to tell everyone i know about my experience and tommorow im filing a complaint with the state since they sent people to do the electrical that didnt know what yhey were doing and now i wait !!!!!!

I have been in contract with PetersenDean/Solar4America for over 6 months. They were to first do roof then solar. They completed my roof after about 4 months and I was told the solar would be on a month after. My estimated completion date for both was November 28th 2019.

Well it still is not on my roof. I have had to call numerous times to even get an install date. I finally got an install date of January 2nd. Needless to say today is January 6th and I still don't have solar. I also don't have a new install date. I have called my rep every day and either don't get an anwser or am told ""we are working on getting more people"".

If I could back out of my contract at this point but since they gave me an ""estimated completion"" date apparently they have all the time in the world to complete my solar project.

I highly recommend no one gets solar from PetersenDean/Solar4America.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!! On Jan02,2020 it will 8 months that I signed to get solar a very exciting time for my family something I have always wanted to do. We went all the way battery's everything. Costing over 40k I had a completed by august contract and I sit here the day after Christmas still no solar I have called and and emailed so I have proof of everything I have tried to do. I never get an answer my sales rep that sold me the system don't even work there anymore the only person I can reach is project coordinator I get the same answer ""waiting on the electrician he should answer me around noon I will call you this afternoon never a call or email. I am done just refund my money so I can go to a place that cares if I don't have solar in January I think I will look into getting a lawyer DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!! My neighbor got solar on his roof in 3 weeks and now I will lose part of my tax credit

Petersendean are crooks! They over sell knowing they do not have the manpower or inventory to fulfill the jobs. The constant turnover of employees in key positions is something to worry about. They will push your job through to the installation stage just to make sure they collect all they can and will leave your job sitting for months because of lack of planning in operations. Yes, you will get a call with excuse after excuse just to pacify you, but they have no idea how to complete your job. Not until you complain or, have a relative that works there. They have unqualified and inexperience individuals on the crews so ALWAYS double check your work. And if you were promised a warranty double check with the manufacturer to see if they actually activated it. We checked with Solar Edge for our warranty and it doesn't exist. There are so many other more reputable solar companies that you will get more for your $ and the cost will be less because Petersendean loves to add cost during the project. If you have an elderly family member who recently signed a contract with them, please double check the contact and progress because they prey on the elderly. Worse solar company ever!!!

Once again Peterson Dean has left us very disappointed. We have been waiting 4 months to update our solar and as the first time we used them they have dropped the ball. As of right now, they deserve NO stars. I should have learned from the last time, sales people are all the same...liars! Promise the moon and deliver nothing. Avoid at all costs! Choose any other solar company, anybody else would probably be better. I should have remembered 2014.....problems then too. Now I have to give them a steady rating, one is as low as I can go.

Do NOT hire PetersenDean for roofing or solar.
My wife & I signed our agreement in the first week of February 2019 and were told approx 120 days. Still no solar as of 9/23/19.

Of course, they have been paid the vast majority of the contract since May 5th. That is 4 1/2 months ago and I'm making payments on nothing! I feel ripped off!

I have a very good paper trail to share with anyone who asks. The paper trail shows endless promises broken and timelines are never met.
