This guy was so arrogant on the phone to me, first he assumed my boss ""was a man"", she's a woman, then tries to explain his male chauvinistic view as just being ""generic"". The following is my response to his email down below, so start by reading his first, please.
I was just going to let this BAD experience go.

Your email is funny.
I called you and 4 other companies the same day. ALL 4 companies have been here already. Waiting on the final quote that has been promised to me by tomorrow.
I don't know where you get your ""facts"", but I don't do business with folks who traffic is ""alternative facts"".
So a call from me will never come.

Hi Betsey, once you realize no one else will visit you sooner than 120 days, please call. Sooner you get on the waiting list the better. With all the storms out in Florida and Houston area, most roofers have gone where the work is. As we are the largest private contractor, we have our workers still in the area. Thanks

I spoke to Ben on the phone. He said that with a general roof inspection, they would include some minor repairs and ""some"" roof tile replacement if needed. For the 170$, his guy came out and did nothing except give me an estimate for 1700$ to pressure wash the roof clean. There were 5 broken tiles which were not replaced. When i called, he was angry that i insisted that the tiles be replaced as we discussed on the initial phone call. He said he would schedule someone to come out but then never got back to me.

Do not use the service unless you want to get nothing promised and sold something unnecessary for a lot of money.

Update: after the post. They did come and repaired the tiles and took care of the things the promised.

Petersen Dean installed my Pardee home, they have repaired it 6 times, 9 mos after the warranty was up, they want $21,000 to repair it again

My wife and I had a great experience with Tom Semark of Peterson Dean. We had talked to a few other companies, and decided to go with Solar 4 America. Tom was great at explaining everything, answered all of our questions, and was very patient and helpful. After a few months I was knocked off line (because I had to redo something) that same day we received an email from Tom advising us our system was off line and someone was out the very next day. Tom was recommended to us by my mother who also got her solar them. Our electric bill went from approximately 5,200$/ per year to anywhere from 2.49-10.00$ per month. I am more than satisfied with solar for American and Tom Semark. Great service and I recommend them to everyone.

I'm ready to buy a 8-10k Solar system. Called 3 other solar vendors, all were quick to respond. Called Petersen Dean and am told I won't be able to speak to sales person for 3 weeks. That's unreasonable, and If you're that disorganized for the sales cycle, I can't possibly trust you for the installation or long term support. I told the guy I'm not a tire kicker, and ready to buy now, ""sorry"" was the answer. Unbelievable. Going with someone else that actually wants my business.

We called Petersen Dean and set up appt for estimate for new roof and solar. Tom Semark came out, after one week, and then sent us a request for information on July 18. We sent back all pertinent information to him. Have not heard anything back from the company nor salesman. Had to call Tom today and ask why we did not have an estimate. ""oh, sorry, have been really busy"". Told him to take a hike and obviously they do not need the business. Then called the company and asked to speak to manager. The telephone person could not find a manager to take my call and said he would take a message. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FROM A COMPANY THAT TOUTS ITSELF AS SO PROFESSIONAL. Will neverr do business with them.

Tom and team did a great job running through the ""deal"" with me and they won out over 3 other companies that I spoke with. Our job was completed in April and I couldn't be happier with the results or their follow up. I highly recommend PetersenDean Roofing and Solar!

We met Tom Semark about a year ago, and, as usual I felt suspicious about most salesmen. I called him about three times, as I considered solar for my roof. Tom sold my neighbor a solar roof, wow, his monthly electric all but disappeared. Again I became interested, and, I was very motivated to order the solar immediately. Tom never pushed me, or pressure me, to purchase, in fact, he was very easy going, pleasant and informative. So, now our two month bill is about $138, before the installation, the bill was $650.

PetersenDean was thorough and persistent in getting my system approved through the Oxnard building department which is notoriously slow. Their install team was fast and did a quality job. They also responded to an initial issue very quickly. I went with them due to a a friend's recommendation, and because of their excellent warranty. My project manager, Valerie Ventura was also very responsive.

We bought a solar system for our roof a month ago. Larry Cohan, the sales guy, showed up exactly in time and explained in detail the system and installation procedure.
We thought initially that we need a second quote from another company, but Larry made a fantastic job explaining every detail and we were confident that we have found the right partner in Petersen Dean. So we signed all the paper right away and now get updates on the process from our assigned project manager. Everything looks good so far.
