Well, it's been 4 months since we gave deposits for a roofing and solar project. Hardly any communication. All I want is a date on a calendar! I call, email, beg. Nothing. When I threatened to cancel the order I was told ""go ahead."" Only reason I haven't is because of our financing package.

Why do Mr Dean and Mr Peterson continue to advertise on tv and radio when they can't even complete the contracts they have?

Please ask Mr Dean or Mr Peterson to call me because no one else in the company appears to give a shit.

This was the first re-roof purchase I had made in my life. I had done my homework on the importance of ""how to shop for a new re-roof"", and arrived at going with Petersen Dean's estimate because they had fulfilled the requirements that made me feel safe; a long term and good-standing reputation in Sonoma County, Workers' Compensation, bonding, insurance, warranty, quality of materials, scope of work, AND they offered 10 year financing. Their presentation by sales associate, Eric Andresen was ""no pressure"" and fact filled, which made me feel comfortable making decisions on several aspects of a new roof. The contract was thorough and transparent, and all of my contractual questions were clearly answered. I was a stickler, and spoke with manager, Tim Earley, Eric Andresen and stellar, project coordinator, Mike Desouza; all of whom were patient and education oriented in helping me to make an informed decision. Definitely, as a consumer you must take responsibility and perform your due diligence and clarify your needs, values and expectations. Being a good consumer is half the relationship. The roof on our duplex turned out beautifully and the tenants living there told me that the Petersen Dean roofing crew and foreman were utmost professional. So happy are we with the roof, that my business partner is in contract for a re-roof at his home, and we plan on going with Petersen Dean on a re-roof on another duplex in 2019.

I can't say enough how well the company re-roofed our house. I contacted them back in January after repeated calls to roofers in Mendocino County did not return call regarding redoing our roof. Petersen Dean got me a quote in less than two days and gave me a great quote. Much cheaper than most people in our area pay for local roofers. We had to pull our solar panels off our roof and they worked with the local solar company. We had the panels pulled off Friday 7/6 and Petersen Dean employees tore off our roof Monday 7/9 and finished roofing by Wednesday. They installed the gutters on Friday and they did a professional job. Employees were very polite and informative during the duration of the project. Great company to work with.

We have had such a challenging experience with Peterson Dean after making a huge investment. Months of problems, claiming the customer vs, taking accoutablity for the issues. Dissapointing as the company came recommended to us, but wish we had made a different decision on who we would partner with...

The fence & gate are fantastic! Arnold & his crew building skills are A1! We are extremely pleased and will highly recommend Peterson Dean for fencing projects to all our friends. Eventually we hope we can have the final side fence and retaining wall done too. Looking forward to the roof & solar portion of our project.

This AM 11/27 Mike from Petersen Dean called to see if they could show up in an hour to start the job. They did, and due to the prep work I had done, they had the Duro-Last roof installed in 3 hours. The crew was very professional. I was up on the low slope roof with them observing how the Duro-Last was installed. I am very impressed with this roofing materiel and the installation method, and would highly recommend Duro-Last.

....We signed a contract with Petersen Dean on Aug 24th. Today is Nov. 22nd, and we are still waiting for the work to be done. We understood that they were busy, but were promised the work would be completed before the significant rainy season began. This was a small job with a low slope roof which I was told will take two of their men one day. Because of damage to the plywood sheeting and to simplify their job I replaced all of the plywood. I understand that there was an issue in ordering the 60 mil Duro-Last roofing sheet. Before the first heavy rain they did send out two men to cover the new plywood with 6 mil poly sheeting. I have not had any contact from them since that day.

So far the only response I've gotten is a tear off date of 12-4-17 that's 6 months after signing a contract with them & told they were 90-120 days for tear off date (my calculations puts 6 months @ 180 days) still waiting. I guess some people are more important than others. Wish I knew the people who are getting the excellent 5 star service that they're rating them at, cause I'd like to know how they got their stuff done in a timely manner. Plus they told me things have been delayed because of the rain? WTH it just started raining (off & on) the last 2 weeks I've been waiting since the beginning of June? So I'm confused! No one responds to me from PD on yelp either. I'm just not important since I signed a contract, just my money!

This started out as a very good experience. We had a roof & solar all done by Peterson & Dean. Shortly after the project was complete (and they were fully paid) we noticed a gutter downspout that was defective. It took many calls & often messages not returned before someone came out. They agreed to replace the defective downspout. They took the defective & said they should have a new one installed in a week or two. Well here we are almost 3 months later & nothing. Our calls are not being returned & I even emailed the sales person Lucas Lafontaine & our project coordinator Valerie ventura. Lucas did reply to my email promptly last night & said he would follow up & call us this morning. NOTHING. It's now 7:25 pm & no reply as promised.

I'm sorry to say that Petersen Dean's reply to my review is inaccurate. And their response reflects what I implied in my previous review: namely that they are so disorganized as a company that they cannot even produce an estimate within a reasonable time frame after they look at the roof.

I had over 15 roofing companies look at my roof, maybe even 20. Petersen Dean was the only one that took more than a few days to even produce an estimate. Indeed, I put the whole project on hold for many weeks because I was waiting for their estimate.

The project was to fix three small leaks in the roof. With regard to the re-coating, that was an optional job that was a ""maybe depending on the price"" That estimate could have waited till after the leak estimate (although I don't know why it takes so long to know that given that they measured the roof, and knew the size.) As I said, no other roofer took anywhere near that long just to produce an estimate. On top of them not having sufficient estimating staff to even look at my roof for seven or eight weeks, their post inspection behavior just added insult to injury.

The scope of my job did not change. And we are a residential building so they erred in transferring the estimate to their commercial department. On top of that, they never contacted me to have a re-inspection; that statement is false. And indeed, there should be no reason to need a re-inspection if they were professional in the first place. it's not like this was their first day in the roofing business. Or was it?

And they are false in stating that I said my project could wait until the summer. They were the last bid to come in even though i called all the roofers at the same time. Everyone was waiting on them and they failed. Their price was not even very good.

I would never call them again.
