Petersen Dean installed a 22 panel, 6KW solar system on our home just south of Santa Rosa.
I has 3 bids and with rebates, specials, etc they came in most competitive.
The install took several months when you factor in the engineering time, permit time from the county, scheduling crew and getting PG&E interconnect approved.
It looks fantastic, performs perfectly, they did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.

We called Petersen Dean for an garage roof estimate last week. We had an appointment scheduled for today. When the estimator didn't show up & we called to find out what happened... The estimator told us ""We left messages / told you that your roof was too steep & we couldn't do the job"".
This was all a lie since - #1=there is a very mild roof pitch, #2-they had our phone & email & they never called or emailed.
Why lie? Needless to say - to us... this company is a total loser!!! Be honest. Say the job is too small, ...cancel... something! But don't make the customer wait for an appointment that isn't going to happen & then lie about it!

Petersen Dean installed our rooftop solar system. Every person I dealt with was awesome plain & simple. Also, thank you Tony, Frank, Ben, Jon & Sal for doing a great job with the installation.

Petersen Dean is the real deal, and the best deal. They treated my home with respect and were there after the sale to answer any and all questions I've had since the installation. If you're in his region, try to work with Jason M - [email protected]. The guy is a true professional and he really knows his stuff.

5 star review for a company with integrity and high customer satisfaction! I was connected with sales rep, Ambrish B, and he made looking into solar panels and roofing from a daunting and overwhelming task to something so incredibly smooth and easy. Ambrish helped me understand the solar and roofing process and it is so helpful that he is detail-oriented and organized in every step of the process. With such a big purchase and something I'm unfamiliar with, it's easy to feel pressured into buying something I'm not completely sold on but Ambrish was thorough and made me feel completely at ease. The company follows through on everything they commit to and the whole experience was just so amazing. I highly recommend Petersen Dean Roofing and Solar if you're looking to make a change and absolutely request for Ambrish as your sales guy!

Our solar system was installed yesterday, and I was amazed how quickly and efficiently the job was done. My first solar system on my house in Placerville some 7 or 8 years ago was huge and cumbersome and time consuming, but the new advances in solar panels provided the same power with much less space. I strongly suggest getting the micro-inverters, which keep panels providing maximum power even if one of them is shaded, or not working. We were extremely impressed by our adviser Jason McCormick, who was patient with us, and very helpful. He kept us up-to-date on every step of the operation. You cant' go wrong with Petersen Dean Roofing and Solar!!! Bill K.

I emailed them! I am on a fixed income; my Souther California Edison bill is between $40.00 and $50.00 dollars a month !hey told me I do not qualify per for their ad's on the radio and internet and not to trust anyone that contacts me regarding their solar installation!

Very Happy with Petersen Dean Solar install (Dec 2014). They were able to offer great terms on the financing. It took a few months to do the install after signing the contract, but that shows how popular they are. They installed the system in one day, even did some touch up painting where they did their work (i gave them a can of the paint).
The system has been operating for over a year now and production is on point. Through the heat wave last summer we had the Coolest house in town and I loved it!
Brian Pease was our consultant and he was great. Really honest and trust worthy, I had to talk him into letting us buy a larger system than recommended, because he thought it was a too large for our needs.
All in all I would highly recommend Petersen Dean and Brian.

Ben Diaz and his crew were fabulous in the installation of the solar panels on our roof. They worked fast, were very respectful and they cleaned up afterwards. They kept me updated about their progress and answered all my questions.
Prince, our Electrician was also fabulous. He worked with us to ensure we were happy with the placement of the inverter in our garage and answered our questions.
I also can't say enough about Kelly J, our project manager. She went above and beyond to make this process the easiest possible. She consistently communicated with me, and her follow-up was excellent.
This entire process from Ambrish, our sales coordinator to installation has been awesome.

Mr Petersen, Thank You for the response! However let me address your response. My warranty is for 20 years meaning my roof is still under warranty! As far as Linda calling me, please be advised that before I resorted to Yelp I tirelessly reached out to your office and waited for more than two weeks for a response, please confirm this with your staff, Carol U. (I have the emails as well) My warranty has not ended. I once purchased tires and they were found to be faulty, the company replaced them with a comparable product because.....THEY WERE UNDER WARRANTY! Again you have skated around the issue. Linda has reached out to me twice, we spoke once, and I was not available the following day. I was hopeful you would address the language contained in my warranty, instead you have also responded with an excuse.
The warranty that I have in my possession states ""that the roofing installation has been installed correctly and will remain free from water intrusion for the period of twenty years"" ""This warranty provides service in the event of roof leaks"" This is what is written in the warranty, what part of this issue has PD addressed? Your response below simply avoids the issue. MY ROOF IS LEAKING, WATER HAS INTRUDED INTO MY LIVING SPACE. Please read your responses again P/D and tell me where you have addressed the above issue, help me to make sense of this nightmare and stressful situation. (Note: My responses are in caps, I feel like screaming but I need to remain calm)
P/D's response: ""In response to the Homeowners concerns, we have made a good faith effort to assist the homeowner with his concerns. (WHAT EXACTLY WAS YOUR GOOD FAITH EFFORT.....I FORGOT YOU PROVIDED ME WITH A TARP TO STOP THE WATER INTRUSION, THK YOU)
We have explained to the homeowner the warranty consist of two parts, one for labor and one for material manufacturer.
Labor warranty:
The homeowner is in year 19 of the 20 labor warranty, this warranty is intact for our workmanship. (REALLY? IS THAT SO. NOT SURE HOW YOU CAME TO THAT CONCLUSION WHEN NO ONE HAS COME OUT TO INSPECT THE ROOF?? CHRIS WAS OUT TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR A NEW ROOF THEREFORE YOUR STATEMENT IS NOT TRUE. WHAT DOES IT MATTER THAT WE ARE IN YEAR 19, THAT MEANS WE HAVE ONE YEAR (1) REMAINING. A WARRANTY IS A WARRANTY!
Material Manufacturer warranty:
The Company for the roofing material has gone out of business and the manufacturer warranty for the roofing material is no longer available. (THE MATERIAL WAS WARRANTED FOR 25 YEARS, IF THAT MATERIAL IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, PROVIDE SOMETHING COMPARABLE TO COVER MY WARRANTY)
In view of the roofing material is no longer available we offered to extend our labor warranty one additional year towards a new roof. (WOW, WHAT A GREAT PROPOSAL....I SUPPOSE THIS IS YOUR ""GOOD FAITH EFFORT"") While we understand the importance for a sound roof, unfortunately we respectfully decline the homeowners request to extend the warranty for roofing material that is no longer available.
(IF THE BELOW STATEMENT IS TRUE, WHY WOULD YOU REFER ME TO A COMPANY THAT HAS GONE BANKRUPT?) YOUR CONTRACT STATES THAT PD WAS TO FURNISH ALL MATERIALS AND PERFORM ALL LABOR NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PER THIS PROPOSAL AND ATTACHED SPECIFICATIONS""
THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOUND THE COMPANY LP ""NOT GUILTY"", NOW WHAT? THE PROPOSAL AND CONTRACT ORIGINATES FROM YOUR OFFICE AND NOWHERE IN THE CONTRACT IS LP MENTIONED. AGAIN I WOULD LIKE YOU ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF WATER INTRUSION.)
The subject roofing material at the property was part of a class action lawsuit. The link to information relating to the class action disposition can be found at: http://bankrupt.com/misc/LPNotice.pdf Since Petersen Dean was not the manufacturer of the tiles, the homeowner should investigate potential remedies and recovery for any roofing tile failures with the manufacturer. Further, PetersenDean did not warrant the material in question and the applicable warranty does not cover material failures which have separate warranties through the manufacturer. (THERE IS NO SEPARATE WARRANTY THAT INDICATES LP IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MATERIAL PORTION OF THE WARRANTY) PetersenDean has addressed any installation issues for the past 19 years and remains ready to discuss any further warranty assistance required at this time.
(PLEASE, PLEASE DISCUSS THE 20 YEAR WARRANTY IN RELATION TO THE WATER INTRUSION, ESPECIALLY SINCE YOUR ASSESSMENT WAS NOT PERFORMED ON THE PROPERTY)
