Thank you so much for everyone's help at PetersenDean! I'm loving my new solar panel system.
Kirk G. - Thank you for your guidance and attention with getting my project going.
With this being the first month of operation, I am seeing a difference.
Mandy S. - Thank you your helping with the energy company and the constant obstacles they ""three our way.""
This is the second system we've done with PetersenDean and definitely recommend it to everyone.

We have had the Solar Panels from Petersen Dean for a couple of years. We had no issues and the system is working fine.

We signed $84,000 worth of roofing and solar contracts with PetersenDean. They were not the lest expensive, but we wanted a big company that would be around in 10 years due to the warrantee. What a mistake. Do not use this horrible company. They have tied us up for 12 weeks when I have hounded them to let me know what is going on. they said it would be installed in 6-8 weeks when we received the contracts. They do not return calls or emails and are so unprofessional. After 12 weeks of nothing happening and no communication they called to say that their contracted amount was too low and wanted to charge another $9,000 after they had plenty of time to provide their inspections and their bid. Who does this kind of bait and switch abuse of customers? We finally agreed to cancel the contract and I am months later than I wanted, missed the prime electrical generating period for solar, and will be hard pressed to get this installed by end of year when the tax incentives decrease.

Follow up: I posted the above review on my lunch. Before the end of the Day I got a call from Corporate Customer Service apologizing for PetersonDean's horrible experience. To bad no one cared enough to contact me In the last 10 weeks When i have been trying to find out why they were not starting my contracted job. How can a company add $9,000 more dollars to the same scope of work in a signed contract? Isn't that the point of a contract? There were no change orders. This is very poor customer service at a minimum and boarders on unethical. PetersonDean's response is misleading as was my entire experience. There was no additional work. In fact they backed out on solar tubes that were listed in my contract. Again, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PETERSONDEAN.

This is now my second system through Peterson Dean and i have nothing but great things to say on both houses that i added solar to. Alex our salesmen was very knowable but then also has the company to back him. The install crews install our unit in about 7 hrs including battery packs in the garage. It was up and running that day. They also did all the leg work on the state rebates for us on the batteries. We got our first bill last month and it was $3. Yes please! I recommend them anytime i hear the conversation come up. Also they back there warranty! Used it on the last house and came out ahead.

Hmm finally got a call from Jill at PetersenDean. Not sure where this is headed but I strongly doubt that I will receive any help. I was told to wait for another call. Apparently they all have to discuss the issues first, too important to talk to a person that has the ability to make things happen. That's only during the sale. Very dissatisfied . Took panels off today. The roof looks worse than I thought. Recent update. PetersenDean claims no responsibility for my roof damage. They claim that they offered to inspect my roof. Never offered any help. Do not purchase anything from PetersenDean unless you want a headache

We have had PetersenDean for 1 year now. In that time our inverter has gone down twice. Once for 3 weeks, in July-August 2018. It took that long for them to get out here, investigate and find that the inverter was broken, order parts and fix. Sadly, that was a high producing month and we missed out on our electric bill savings. It's really difficult communicating to the company, if they call you back, it's a minor miracle. While I love our salesman, Kirk, the company is not customer friendly. My friend has Solar-city, for two years now, her inverter-has never been down. My daughter has solar too, never been down either. If Petersendean wants to compete they need to be more customer friendly

Since posting I have been told that it went directly to corporate. The called me from the customer care team, I addressed all of my issues with Sophie. She gave me a home number directly to customer care and told me that I would be able to talk to a person and not a machine. She will have someone go over the electricity we lost during the down time. I checked SolarEdge at 8:00 am and while my panels were producing it wasn't refreshed into the app. This time every ting is working as it should.

We had a major fence issue due to the weather. PetersenDean came out and put together a plan to fix the issues and with a great price. My PC kept me in the know about my project. The material that was used is high quality and should last a very long time. Thank you PetersenDean.

We went with Peterson Dean because we wanted a well known and established company to minimize the B.S. that I've heard about other companies. That isn't what we got. Project was over 5 months behind schedule over an error in their permit department about a carport in my driveway. During this delaytime I received a couple emails that due to the delay they wanted to cancel our contract. After I went to my county offices and found out that the carport had no bearing on my solor project and had them contact PetersonDean ,they finally got to work. You would figure that once it was pointed out that this was the company's error you would feel a sense of urgency in completing the project but again not the case. Now that the system is up and running it seems to be way under performing, but it didn't come online until the middle of December when the rains started so we'll see. One final point is that with the delays caused by their permit department even with several comments to my salesman and project manager, I have not heard anything from management.

Having been advised by other solar contractors whom we had consulted, that we needed reroofing prior to solar install, we chose PetersenDean because their commercial appeared to represent that they had the resources to do both. We checked Yelp where among the limited posts we found one from a gentleman who said that he'd originally posted a negative review. PetersenDean had responded that they had been unaware of the problem(s), made correction(s), and now all was good.
Email, phone and written records demonstrate that between first contact in March 2018 and the solar system finally becoming operational in October 2018 we experienced seven months of delays, no shows and lack of communication (except of course when payments were due by us). We repeatedly brought problems to their attention, providing video and photos of our concerns, without acceptable response, follow through, or correction. We have not had a response to the three summertime power bills in excess of seven hundred dollars each, submitted to PetersenDean upon their request, for consideration of prorating. We demonstrated good faith providing all documents, roofing and solar payments of over Fifty-Seven Thousand dollars ($57, 078) in a timely manner and payed the first loan installment of $536, with not a solar panel on the roof, and the next power bill accruing.
Additionally, the roofing supervisor took our permit documents. We have made multiple requests for their return.
Time and weather will tell of the roofing application. We have received the lower power bill which was the end goal of the whole process.
My husband and I own two businesses, and I work nights medical. We count on the people we contract to provide the value, customer service, and craftsmanship that we provide to our clients, in a timely manner. We understand that there can be setbacks at times. This does not account for seven months of delays and lack of communication we experienced.

We decided to go with Petersen Dean Solar system in August and went active online yesterday. They have been very easy to work with all along the way thanks to our service representative, Kirk Gallinkamp. From planning the right system for us, working out the financing, the installation and the permit process, Petersen Dean has lived up to their 5 star reputation.
