This company's communication is abysmal, relying on call centers or conveniently ignoring customer inquiries. Their commitment to quality is questionable, having undertaken more jobs than they can handle, resulting in compromised standards. They boast about capabilities they can't fulfill, excelling in over-promising and under-delivering. Don't believe me, See for yourself or just keep and eye out for an ad running about actual customers sharing their horrible experiences with this company.

From start to finish, it was a great experience with Solar Savings Direct. I thought I got a fair price and given the rush to get in for NEM2 at the time, they did everything in their power to move things along on their end. Thanks again to Tim and the whole team for making it happen. Would highly recommend Solar Savings!

The service from beginning to end was amazing! From the first meeting to the installation and even the follow-up months later, it was unexpected and much appreciated. I also have to mention that the installation folks, which are usually a get-in and get-out type as I have seen with so many other companies were on time, announced when they were coming, and kept us up to date on what was happening. There was also the dedication and care to the property and the neighbor's yard. I have seen other installers use ugly pipes that are placed around the property that are terrible and an eyesore. These folks did it right, looked for the best way around, and used the house's existing solar paths to make the install look clean. I swear if you do not see the panels on the house, you wouldn't know we had solar. I hate the metal pipes on the neighbor's houses that make the property look so unappealing.

If you want solar and want the best from beginning to end you need to choose these folks. You will love it.

Got a great quote from Tim at HomePro solutions, after two other companies fell through. he had a very competitive quote and once we agreed on the project, solar savings direct was incredibly helpful and understanding the process and keeping me in the loop. Big shout out to Jessica and Monica, as well as the receptionist at the office, cannot remember her name. Just above and beyond customer service. This was a long wait with PG&E delays - they kept us in the loop the whole time and put our mind at ease when we ran into another speed bump with PG&E. Thank you so much!

Everything up to the install was great. Once the install was done, there was absolutely no follow-up by Solar Direct. None. Even the installers informed me that a representative from Solar would contact me to follow-up on the install, provide access to the app, inform me of the next steps (provision from PG&E), and even (to my surprise) that they would paint the conduit (even though I was not expecting that). During the city inspection, there was a 3rd party representative present; but they were not able to answer any of my questions and informed me someone from Solar would be contacting me. Their follow-up was pretty much non-existent.

If Michael Jordan could be personified as a solar company, it would be Solar Savings Direct. Jeremy and Grant's possy provide solar installations at the highest level of quality and with the utmost integrity. There simply is no one better. Don't waste your time or money with those big corporations that will leave you hanging high and dry and never return your calls. If you want a solar installation that elicits extreme covetousness from your neighbors, go with Solar Savings Direct.

It's been more than 4 months and still no solar panel installation and no estimated date of installation. So my mother wanted to cancel and they responded by threatening legal action. LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MY 74 YEAR OLD MOTHER!!! I'M BEYOND IRRATE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

There's been many bumps along the way and to be honest, unless you have lots of patience and time on your hands, go elsewhere. I needed extra Solar panels and that's why I contacted Home Pro Solutions (they are partners with this company). Everything was installed quickly because I called the office 2X a week to make sure my project was moving along properly. If I didn't call, I wouldn't have Solar as of today. The communication is lacking in a big way, the excuses as to why things aren't moving along are many, and to have failed the final inspection 2X is very frustrating. Why isn't someone reviewing the plans and making sure everything is going to pass? It's been over 2 months since my install and I've yet to have my final inspection complete due to it not passing. O yea, and if I don't call or email, I would wait even longer.

Don't take the NEM3 crisis as an excuse. I think more employees are needed or less projects should be accepted.

PS- 5 of my family members purchased Solar from this company and we've all endured the same LACK OF communication issues and have had to check in regarding our project to make things move along

I just don't get it why these guys get voted #1 in EDH village life's poll. First of all - they kept asking questions one at at time - e.g. metal / non-metal roof, roof pitch (even when plan was provided), direction of ridge line (which was on the plan), and then if it will be a cash payment etc. But I kept my patience and provided all the data.

Then I was told that if I generated surplus electricity, under NEM2.0 it was around 30cents - ignoring the difference between net metering and true surplus.

But anyways - we go through all that and finally have a contract. And even though I kept asking if they will come and install the conduit for the electricity while my wall was open, my representative kept waffling on the thing. Then finally I said - can he confirm that they can install the wiring over the next two weeks when I needed it, and then the vagueness all came to an end and the answer was NO. So why did we have to go through all the dancing around the question - if I need something and they can't do it, game over - but don't ask to sign the contract without understanding what the customer is asking for.

Just as a data point - went with somebody else. They were fast - gave me a design in a few days, knew where to put the panels on the roof and as a technical person myself, I researched his proposal and looked good. They got the conduits installed and they got the PGE application done and easily beat the NEM3 deadline. On the whole, dealing with these guys was a complete waste of time.
