I spent weeks of emails back and forth with this company for new Solar for an existing house and new ADU. After I jumped through all their hoops with getting my bills, etc. they say, oh, we don't do new construction. When that's what I specified from the outset. They are rude and incompetent.

Back in 2020 I went back to Solar Optimum for 2 more projects. I had them install a Tesla PowerWall Gen2 and 10 additional panels to my system. Just recently my neighborhood had a power outage which lasted 6-8hrs. We noticed our refrigerator and internet was not backed-up to the backup panel. I talked to Solar Optimum about the issue and 2 weeks later they came out and installed 2 additional breakers. They are all about customer satisfaction with superior workmanship. Go with Solar Optimum you will not regret it!

Wonder why Solar Optimum has so many positive reviews? It's because they offer a $500 ""referral fee"" for positive reviews. This is in the contract I signed. Not in the contract, it turns out, was a verbal promise that half of my $500 deposit would be returned if I did not agree to cost increases after the initial site inspection. While other companies require a deposit prior to the site visit, most companies will return all of the deposit if the site visit results in additional costs. The costs did go up significantly in my case, and for reasons that shifted and could not be adequately explained. But instead of the refund I was promised, I received a ""complimentary deposit return agreement"" that include a confidentiality clause specifying that I must remove any negative reviews to receive the refund. Don't trust the reviews you read and don't trust what the sales people tell you to get you to sign the contract. This is a company that engages in deceptive and unethical business practices.

If you own a manufacturered home Solar Optimum will not install on your roof. I went through the loan process and got pre-approved. Only to have the inspection stopped to inform me they do not work on manufacturered homes. I had to reach out to them to get a explanation.
What really gets me is most of my neighbors have solar with in the last 4 years and there houses are manufacturered.

I found this company through a third party solar aggregator and I am so glad I did. I contacted several companies and SO wasn't the cheapest but they were near it. They also stood out in communication and professionalism. Every step of the way was smooth and clearly communicated. Installed timely, permission to operate was easy breezy. I'm considering more panels and a battery and would definitely call them first.

I'm so glad I went with Solar Optimum. I search for some time for a contractor. I found these folks fairly priced and provided great service and support along the way. Ryan contacted me to provide a quote and answered all my questions in a timely manner and continued to be responsive even after I signed the contract and did my downpayment. He was always receptive and was really why I decided to go with Solar Optimum. The guy needs a raise. I'm really impressed by the clean install of my solar panels and they were up and running sooner than quoted. Props to the install crew and people handling the proposal and permits. I wouldn't go with anyone else for solar. The warranty provided was among the best and they've been in business for awhile. I checked them out on BBB. I would warn you that if you are looking for a small local company, Solar Optimum is not. I had several different people contact me from different departments and I felt like it was a big operation but it ran pretty smoothly and really I didn't mind it. I want to thank Ryan who coordinated it all the way through. Great job

Solar Optimum is one of best solar contractors if not THE best. Phone calls were answered quickly and professionally without a lot of sale hype, there was step-by-step video clips to walk me along the installation phase and they were there to answer my questions even after final payment and go-live was complete. They delivered the system more quickly then we had agreed on and all personal contact during installation was professional, masked and extremely customer focused. I highly recommend SO for any solar projects you may have. And to top that off I have a 25-year warranty on installation, workmanship, materials and solar production / efficiency!!

Solar Optimum rcently installed a 4.3kW solar system on my roof. They did everything from design the system, getting necessary approvals and permits, commissioning and coordinating with SDGE. Everything was done professionally and they kept me apprised of steps completed and what is going to happen next. the whole project was dine in less tan 2 months notwithstanding the restrictions due to covid 19. I recommend them to do your next project.

We chose Solar Optimum for their great warranties. Ivan our rep was very helpful in understanding my options. Both the crews and help during the process were excellent. We had some concerns with our first solar design but we work through it with the office. This made the job take longer, we got installed in about 2 months. I highly recommend them
