I installed 25 Panasonic solar panels with Enphase energy inverters in August, 2019. Solar Optimum was great all the way through the process. They were quick to respond with all communications. They quickly got the permits from the city. The price was very competitive. The installation was very quick (took 3 days). The only issue found by the city inspector was to change the labels on the electrical boxes. The system has worked great without any problems!

They made the process of getting solar panels very easy. I don't think about it now, except that I have a much lighter conscience about our pollution footprint. Anyone with a sunny roof should at least call them and check out how much it would cost for their specific situation. In our case, we pay less overall on energy now (monthly bill from the city plus the monthly loan payment for the solar panels) than we used to pay (when we just had a monthly bill from the city). The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that our city dragged their feet on giving final approval to activate the system, and solar optimum didn't follow up quite as attentively as they could have. Once I called about the delay, they got the approval and activation done quickly.

Incredible service, great pricing, and super fast installation. Having had a brand new roof installed we were particularly nervous on who to hire and carry out the install. They completed EVERYTHING in one day and after multiple storms as a stress test, not a single leak or any major problems. We were very impressed. Highly recommended.

Solar Optimum worked closely with us through a lengthy approval process with the City Design Board, due to the house being on the registry. It was the first time a registry home had solar installed and they made sure the visual integrity of the house and neighborhood were preserved according to the required standards. They went above and beyond anything I've ever seen from a company and we appreciate that effort very much. Solar Optimum has been helpful, friendly and responsive to us since our install. There are some shady operators in the solar world, but these guys are the exact opposite. They were straightforward, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We met with three other solar companies and these guys were the best deal, but this definitely wasn't a case of you get what you pay for. Sean came out and went over everything with us and answered all questions. He was great.

After we signed up, everything went smoothly (except it took a little time for the city to send people out to approve the permits, but that's not Solar Optimum's fault). All of the workers were nice and answered any more questions that came up. Honestly, this was the easiest project/upgrade we've ever done to our house in eight years.

It's been a year and a half since the installation and we've had no issues. We're on track to have made all of our money back in less than six years. If you have decent sun on your roof, solar is a complete no brainer: you save money and help the planet. So get solar and use Solar Optimum. We recommended them to three friends who all used them and were happy with the experience. I'll keep recommending them to anyone who is thinking of getting solar.

We were looking for solar companies that received good to excellent reviews and would have our price range. I went to Yelp's website and looked for solar installers. Then I went to another website that said ""top 10 solar installers"" and looked at the companies listed. I wrote down 3 companies that were listed in both websites. I read the reviews and called the 3 companies on the same day. One of them was Solar Optimum.

Talked to Tom of Solar Optimum and I asked to schedule an appointment. He e-mailed me some preliminary info on solar paneling which I like since I know little about the subject. I read it before the scheduled visit. The rep was Ryan Reyes. He was the first one of the 3 to come to the house.
All 3 reps were all pleasant and engaging but Ryan Reyes of Solar Optimum was also patient, respectful, and honest. Patient because he explained and answered all our questions and worries. Honest because his quotation was actually based on our previous electrical usage which should really be the case. The other companies' quotes were based on the electrical usage that were way up our actual average usage. (Solar companies always ask their clients to send a year's electrical bills to determine their usage).

Also, Ryan gave us a price that was 5K below our budget.

By the way, the other 2 companies followed up on their quotes. I told them that they were unrealistic because they based them on a usage that was way above our actual. They said that they would revise their quotes and would match the lowest quote I got. I would not have it their way.

Solar Optimum was very professional. They came on the following day I signed the contract to do the survey of the roof. Then after less than a week, installed the panels. It was so fast and the guys were professional! They told me they would be finished (including the LADWP inspections) in 3 months but they were done much earlier than that. They always e-mailed me of the status of the project. Also, Ryan would e-mailed me back the same day I e-mailed him.

Been very happy with the service provided by Solar Optimum. I've had this system for about two years now and it was installed professionally and they did a great job overall. I have also referred my friends to them and I know they are very satisfied too. My electricity bill has been $0 since the time this system was installed. In summary, am a very happy customer.
