After a great sales pitch, we felt like our solar installers should be Solar Bear. We had to inform them of a fire code set-back they weren't taking into account and this should have raised red flags. Unfortunately, we thought it an honest mistake and continued with Solar Bear. They came out to install the system without letting us know AND without sending us any final plan layouts for approval (which were promised when we pointed out the still present fire code issue to a ""carebear"" while on the line with her and the sales person). Luckily, we were home for the installation to continue. Unfortunately, the sales rep couldn't make it for a possible bonus sales tent setup because he wasn't notified that they were coming, either. Upon going for a walk, I noticed that they were still in violation of the previously mentioned fire code. They had already drilled into our roof, but were told by the project manager to just repair it and change the layout...again, we didn't approve any plans. In fact, it was about a week after the install that HOA sent us an email for the approved install. This was in July and we still don't have working solar because we haven't had an inspection because the county hasn't approved their plans...the same plans for the installation that they already completed. Why was work done on our home before final plan approvals? I feel like this is a step before acquiring permits. I'm hoping they have all permits. But, I don't have any answers because we haven't spoken to any project managers or superiors. We only get replies from customer service and all they can do is apologize. We only get updates when we initialize phone calls to them. How is it okay to not finish a $30,000 job for someone and feel like you don't have to keep them in the loop with updates? Maybe because they've already been paid? Now, we will soon begin payments on a financed system that isn't working and was supposed to offset energy bills that we will also continue to receive. Not to mention the worry that the final approved layout will NOT match what they've installed and will cause further damage to our roof. Is there a warranty response for the repairs they have already made and will potentially have to make due to their faulty business practices?

Working with Solar Bear to get our solar system was an excellent choice. The salesman was very helpful and if he didn't have an answer he got back to me right away. Installation went smoothly and everyone I worked with and talked to at the company were always very pleasant and helpful.

When purchasing a new home
Getting solar panels was at the top of our to do list! We reached out to solar bear schedule an appointment simple easy to do. The representative Kevin Harris was very knowledgeable & detailed. In his presentation video it states that if we chose not to choose solar bear he would simply shake our hand and walk away.
We chose not to let him walk away and we signed the contract right then and there.

Our Family was so excited to make the planet more Eco-Friendly. The day the crew arrived with the solar panels was exciting.
The crew just took off into action flew up on the roof and just started laying down the panels they were fast,neat, clean, and very polite .Thank you crew!
Our Family was also very impressed with Sean, Sean taught ""us"" newbies how the generator box and panel works, he even showed us how to upload the app and read it as well. Sean thank you as well!
So Overall it was the best decision ever.

We have had a terrific experience with Solar Bear. From the rep that came in and explain the whole process, jealous, to the final sign off by will Garcia. They have been great to work with, answered our questions properly and thoroughly, and explained every step of the process. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in lowering their electric bill and helping to save the planet. We have a great feeling of satisfaction knowing we are doing what is best for us, using this clean energy source.

We spent almost $50,000 with Solar Bear. It has been a horrible experience from the very beginning. They were supposed to inspect and make sure that everything was working properly before they signed off... instead, now over ten months later (the attached receipt is what they provided us for our taxes, our installation was Oct 2018), we find out that six of our panels have never worked since installation. We only found this out when their tech came out for the yearly inspection. He was shocked, and promised that they would be out asap to correct this - as it explains why we have NEVER had the $0 electric bill that we were promised. Since then, we have had to call repeatedly and never be able to reach someone - their voicemails are usually full. No communication at all. Finally when we are able to leave a voicemail saying that we re about to contact an attorney, we receive a call- their techs come out and turn our system OFF completely so that they can go get parts - that was a week ago and they haven't returned or called us back. All this time we are completely on TECO electric. Solar Bear has never offered us remedy for the many months of paying for panels that never worked, and I'm sure they won't offer us anything for this amount of time that ALL of our panels aren't operational. I honestly wish that we had researched this company better before we spent this huge amount of money with them. Florida law should monitor companies like this to make sure that they are taking care of Floridians.

We are happy with our decision to select Solar Bear for our home energy needs. The staff was extremely helpful from our sales representative, to the office staff, and the installation crew. They were always friendly, helpful, and seemed to care for us as a customer. We look forward to saving money and conserving our natural resources. Thank you Solar Bear.

This company is horrible! I'm completely dissatisfied to say the least. I unfortunately went though Home Depot and they sent out Solar Bear. Now I'm having all of these issues because they didn't do the install correctly so it failed the inspection for the county. Home Depot is dragging and has not really helped at all. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs! Any other company HAS to be better than this sorry excuse for a company. If I could give negative stars I would but this app doesn't allow for that!
